And there it was- my life had changed before my very own eyes. Waves crashing, water rising, and wind blowing; consuming everything I have ever had. Hurricane Sandy was by far the most powerful, tragic, and life-changing event I have ever lived to see. Waves upon waves flooded and destroyed my bay-front home, resulting in no other option than tearing down my house and rebuilding a new one. Despite the heartbreak and frustration that this storm brought, it made me the strong person I am today. Hurricane Sandy changed me into a totally different person, for the better. It made me a stronger individual mentally by being able to get through anything that I come to face with- from emotions to problems regarding school, family, or friends. With such a devastation like Sandy, not much could bring me down now. Adding onto this point, I do not get everything handed to me on a silver platter, I work for things that I want and this makes me a better person.
