Hunting is killing off the world’s animal population. Animals like giraffes, Tasmanian devils, and rhinos are endangered due to hunters killing them for their pleasure. Animals live in the wild to be with their families and thrive and grow in their environment. Animals are amazing creatures and are actually really cool and interesting. We shouldn’t be hunting them, we should actually be trying to learn more about them.
I understand that we get most of our food from animals and that maybe hunting is kind of controlling certain populations such as the wolf population. I believe that there should be a limit to what we hunt for every year. I also believe that there is hunting to get food supplies, and then there’s hunting for pleasure.
Hunting for pleasure is just for the fun of a killing an animal minding his own business. If an animal is not bothering you, why would you go out of your way to harm it. If the animal really wanted to attack you, I believe it would. There’s absolutely no reason to harm an animal if it is not bothering you. In conclusion, “Pleasure Hunting” should not be a thing because it’s not doing anything but eliminating the world’s population of animals and sources of food. Take cows for example. They supply us with meat and milk. If they’re gone, what do we do? Even insects matter! Bees make sure that we have vegetables and fruit that our bodies need. So, pleasure hunting may feel satisfying for you, but just realize that you’re creating a world that’ll soon be impossible to live in.
We live in the human society that animal becoming extinct, more people hunting animal just for fun like animal is just another toy to people chase around until the animal exhaust and then kill them, animal they have feeling just like humans. If we have guns control law is most likely no hunting anymore, we don’t need to hunt animal for food to survive. Many people kill animal just for their skin and fur. If humans continue killing innocent animal is will cause extinction to many animal. States with hunting law are less
Some may say that the main purpose of this activity is to have fun with family or friends, others affirm that it helps to keep a balance between species or even that it helps to keep a good economy but what about the animals? Did any of them deserve to die so that humans are no longer bored? Were they a hazard to human life? I don’t think so. So in this essay I’m going to present why Animal trophy hunting should be prohibited and removed from our lives.
Hunting is popular among American men and is a delightful pastime for a father and a son. It is not essential that Americans hunt for their food anymore, but that is not why people hunt. They hunt because it gives men a sense of serenity being out in the woods. People enjoy hunting. Those people should not have to suffer because other people like to kill other people. On the other hand, some people might actually need to hunt for food. Not everybody has enough money to feed their family big feasts every night, so they kill an animal to help cut down on the cost of their food bill.
Hunting centuries ago was a cruel way of survival for humans but now it's no more than a violent form of recreation. Hunters should only hunt if they need it for sustenance which most
One of the most imperative reasons to ban trophy hunting is because it creates an imbalance in which it can lead to what scientists refer as ¨evolution in reverse¨. Jeffrey Flocken from CNN claims that trophy hunting is part of the tendency referred as “survival of the weakest”. Scientists
Hunting is a passion for millions of Americans across the United States and without it who knows what the current deer population would be. With the white tailed deer having few predators and a large habitat to thrive in it is important to keep the tradition of hunting going. Besides, the real problem Anti-hunters should be focusing on is the growth of cities and communities because they are what truly hurts the deer population. As long as deer hunting safety remains under control and the deer population stays in tacked, there should be no reason to end future hunts for Americans. To conclude, it is true that many people don’t believe in the ethics of hunting and that is alright, because regardless of how they feel hunting is here to stay for many years to
Hunting demonstrates the ability to protect and provide mainly referred to males providing their families with meat from the animals and protecting their land. (“Modern Hunters Are Stewards of Wildlife and the Environment.”) The economy today is very unsustainable and hunting is the key to feeding the hungry. (“Modern Hunters Are Stewards of Wildlife and the Environment.”) There are many food banks today that will accept the meat provided by animals and feed hungry organizations that cannot buy food themselves. What most people don’t know is most of the money used by hunters that go towards hunting licenses, hunting tags, and hunting lotteries to hunt in particular spots go to wildlife research and habitat protections in that hunters home state. With approximately 12.5 million hunters in the World today a lot more money gets sent to these organizations than people would ever think. Overall, hunting is a positive force because it provides an economic motive for maintaining wildlife habitats. This keeps animals in their own habitats and away from people and their homes as much as possible. Some see this sport very cruel and un-humane but overall it is helping this World out way more than people think. If we didn’t have people who hunt or knew how to hunt we would be very reliant on other foods. Such as farming fruits and vegetables, which could go extinct if something devastating happens. We wouldn’t have the protein and vitamins needed in the meat we eat. Hunting is very necessary, and everyone should know how to hunt or learn soon. It’s helpful now, and will be very helpful in the future if there is a reason we can’t rely on cattle for meat anymore. We will have to figure out other ways to get meat, and without hunting it is very unlikely that
Humans have been hunting practically since the beginning of time. Take a moment to look back at our country’s founding fathers and Native Americans. People in that era hunted as a means of survival. We all possess the skills of stalking prey. It’s in our blood. Hunting is automatically instilled in us being at the top of the food chain. Although looking back into history, one can also find that some hunting has diminished animal populations practically to the verge of extinction. However these facts have not gone unnoticed. If hunting is well regulated, whether it be for sport or recreational involvement, and there are no major affects to the species, if anything it may help bring back species from the edge of extinction. “Several wildlife managers view recreational hunting as the principal basis for protection of wildlife.”(Lebel)
Is sport hunting needed to keep a balance in nature, or is it just cruel? Is sport hunting really affecting anything at all in our world or is it just causing unnecessary pain and suffering for animals? The controversy on sport hunting being legal or not has been going on for a very long time. Both sides have extremely valid reasons on why their opinion is correct, but this many be an argument that will very be completely settled or agreed on. Sport hunting is profitable and entertaining for some, but it is also cruel and unethical to others and the animals that have to suffer.
Is hunting really necessary to control wildlife populations? That is one of the many questions asked by environmentalists and animal rights activists all over the world. In an article in The Sciences, author Wendy Marston talks about the decrease in hunters across the nation. She found that only six percent of Americans hunt today, down four percent from a decade ago. She says, "from an environmental point of view, unfortunately that change has done more harm than good(12)." Animal overpopulation in some areas is destroying nature. In some areas of overpopulation, food is becoming scarce and animals have started to eat endangered plants and other vegetation that they would normally not. Animals also cause a lot of problems along our nation's freeways and for many farmers.
Recreational hunting is a huge controversy whether it’s local, regional, or international, I know from being a hunter there are several pros and cons to hunting. The question is, should recreational hunting be allowed? First off what is “recreational hunting”? Well, Answers.com refers to it as “Rec hunting is hunting for pleasure or sport, instead of trade hunting, which is hunting to kill animals for trade (by the way, no animal has become extinct by rec hunting.)”. I believe recreational hunting is a great thing and more people should partake in it as it is a great hobby and an even better skill. While some people may disagree with that, that’s okay but I
Hunting for sport is legal, and should remain that way. Many arguments against hunting for sport claim it is a “violent form of recreation” and “we have no right to take an animals life” for example, an opposing viewpoints article “Sport Hunting is an Unnecessary Form of Cruelty to Animals” says just that. HoweverI argue that we are part of this planet, as well as it’s ecosystem. We are (in ways) predators. An article on sport hunting, “Hunting for Sport” compares “hunters and the hunted” to a mountain lion and a deer. Is the lion at fault for hunting the deer? No. The mountain lion’s duty is to play the role as predator as well as keeping it’s prey’s population away from its ecosystems capacity. The ecosystem can no longer always support and control all animals populations.
Newsela research states about Africa that “the big cats there are possibly the most endangered lions on the planet”. Trophy hunting should not be allowed.Trophy hunting can be harmful to animals that are becoming endangered. Animals should be protected instead of hurt or harmed. Also trophy hunting can be a cruel form of hunting. Hunting destroy animal families and habitats, and leaves terrified and dependent baby animals behind to starve to death.
For instance, according to the Mother Nature Network, the Tasmanian Tiger, Passenger pigeon, and the Great Auk was hunted to extinction. This proves that hunting is too harmful for nature because hunting is causing extinction. Hunting shouldn’t be promoted because many animal species will become extinct if they continue to be hunted. Furthermore, Douglas Main, the main writer for the LiveScience website, says that rhinos, elephants, and even lions are on the verge of extinction due to poaching. Thus, hunting shouldn’t be considered a sport because it causes too much animals to die, which can result in extinction or
If this trend continues, by the year 2055, the number of species which are hunted could be increased. reduced by as much as 81 percent. (Satchell 31) Not only does hunting reduce the number of animals, it can also be unnecessarily cruel to the creatures. When deer are bowhunted, they often are. not instantly killed by the snare.
