I first would like to start off by saying thank you to everyone who attended Madison and Zack’s wedding. For those of you who don’t know me on the Leydig side i’m Nicole, Madison’s best friend since we were little girls. I am honored to stand her, and be apart of her special day. This is the day that we have been planning on since we were nine years old. We had a big scrapbook full of pictures, and the wedding was planned down to the month and date. Let me clarify something before i get started, this madison that you all see today the mature young adult is not the madison i grew up with. But let me take it slow and not get ahead of myself, let me take us all back to when we were kids. Growing up we lived at each others house basically inseparable …show more content…
Luckily Madison and I dreamed of going to Duquesne and Zack wanted to go to the University of Pittsburgh. All through college I finally realized that Zack wasn’t leaving and that i better get use to it. I finally gave him the chance to show me what Madison saw in him. During our fours of college I saw how he treated her and from that day on he got my approval. A few years after college Zack still hasn't popped the question,by this point madison was freaking out. Always calling me weird hours of the day and night trying to figure out why he wasn’t pushing to make it official. Finally after a few months of Madison making us both crazy Zack finally asked her. It was the best surprise of a lifetime not only for her but for me. It was about time that I actually got to sleep. Oh but that was an understatement, bridezilla Madison came out sooner than expected. Everything had to be done a certain way or she would flip. Even saying the broad term purple instead of violet. Bridezilla would appear and correct us all. After it was all said and done, everyone can see that this big wedding that has been put together is truly amazing. I'm so grateful for you both in my
In just two short years you will develop the ability to tell your husband to go to hell,
Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen. I am going to keep this speech fairly short because of my throat; the bride said that if I made fun of the groom too much she would cut it.
Anyway, I would like to finish off, by giving a few words of advice, to the newly weds. You must always consider the words of Oscar Wilde. "Women are meant to be loved, not understood.”
I’d like to begin by thanking the groom for asking me to be best man. I would also like to thank the bride for allowing him to ask me. The groom has a splendid set of friends, and to be nominated from such esteemed company is without doubt a great honor. Thanks also to the ushers, friends, and family who have all helped to make this day so special.
Now I was a bit unsure about the duties of a best man, although I told Brian very early on that there was no way I was going to get off with a bridesmaid – I say that with no offence intended to Claire and Nicola who I’m sure you’ll all agree look lovely, and have done a great job today. So to find out what was expected of me, I turned to the internet and managed to find some really interesting stuff… but then remembered what I had gone onto it for in the first place, and set about plagiarising other people’s speeches from all the wedding sites I could find. So I accept no responsibility if this end result is rubbish. I know many of you will have been to a few weddings in your time, so can I suggest that you entertain yourselves quietly by playing wedding bingo – every time you hear a witty comment in my speech that you have already heard at another wedding, give yourself a point and the first one to five wins a piece of wedding cake.
Humorous Wedding Speech about the Groom Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Before starting the one speech that I know you’ve all been waiting for, I’d like to thank both Steve and Marcus – my two support acts. And I’d also like to thank Marcus in particular, for hosting what so far has been an absolutely fantastic wedding.
In 1998 I popped the question, so like Elvis's toilet door Twenty-five years ago, we've been engaged for a long time. Today she's made me the happiest man on earth, she's my bride and joy. And I think you'll all agree she's done a superb job organizing today almost single-handed.
As Father of the Bride, I am honored to be the first to speak this evening. I would like to begin by welcoming each and every one of you on this joyous occasion. It is good to see so many friends and family here today to help celebrate Paula and Manson’s wedding. I would also like to remember those who have meant so much to our family, but could not be here today.
The first few weeks of that Fall semester were some of the best of my life as we saw each four or five times a week between classes and church, we discovered innumerable commonalities that ranged from being previously home schooled to having the same political views and favorite color. His face showed pure delight when I uttered the words, his eyes lit up and he flashed me one of those incredible smiles, complete with dimples that he used to always give me in the past. But although his face said yes, his mouth said no. He made a dozen excuses that conflicted with each other, ranging from not wanting to date in college to having another girlfriend.
Also, I'd like to say that the bride looks absolutely stunning today, as for the groom he just looks stunned. I am on a strict time limit from the bride, so the more you laugh at my jokes, the quicker my speech will be.
I've tried to memorize this speech, which isn't easy when you have the memory retention of a geriatric goldfish, so please forgive me if I resort to my notes - probably every five seconds. I did ask for an autocue to be set up in front of me, but apparently the wedding budget doesn't stretch that far... And neither does my eyesight
When I look at the bride and groom, I feel such a kaleidoscope of emotions. I know that Kari has found her true match and I know that theirs will be a marriage of long standing. My heart is bursting with love for you two today. I know you have a wonderful adventure ahead of you, and with God?s blessing your marriage will last for decades to come.
Blaine stood beside me as my partner, my equal, my soul mate, and together we’d face whatever life brought our way, side by side, together forever. To awaken to that realization each morning brought such delight to my heart and completed my soul in ways I doubt I’ll ever manage to express. All I can say is – I’m married and never will I leave my beloved Blaine’s side. All mushiness aside, Blaine and I spent Saturday much the way I imagine most newlywed couples pass that first day as husband and wife. In short,
The groom, Kevin, looked even happier than anyone. After all it was his wedding day too. In a few moments the wedding began. Everyone scurried to their seats in anticipation. The music began, the doors opened, and there she was, gracefully gliding down the aisle behind her single bridesmaid.
Running off the field, I swoop up my girl, Daisy Windsor, who was cheering for me on the sidelines. We had just won our last football game of the season against the Mare Island Marines. I started thinking what my life would've been like if I continued on with the military field after I graduated. I could've been one of those marines on the field. I shake the thought and focus on the beautiful girl in front of me in her cute little uniform. "Congrats Mr. Exeter," She smirked. I grabbed her hand and kissed the ring on her finger. "Thank you Mrs. soon-to-be Exeter." I met Daisy soon after I started college. We ran into each other, literally, on the way to class on the first day. She dropped all her books on the floor and immediately dropped down to scoop them all up.
