Hi everyone good afternoon, and thank you for joining us today and making this beautiful day memorable. First of all, I would like to congratulate our loving parents, devoted teachers, supportive faculty, and of course the wonderful class of 2017. Today, I feel both extremely humble and entirely unqualified to be speaking before you. I would like to start by first reflecting on the importance of adults in our life. Parents are the first one to help us develop our way through life. Now some of us might think that “Oh my parents hate me or don’t trust me, for they never let me do anything” but the reality is that, this is how we see it, if we are to look from a parent's perspective it is their sheer love and care that they want us to stay protected. They still think that we are just little kids …show more content…
Ms. Dibble’s class policies of “No chicle en la boca” or “No teléfono” is to teach that you do not have enough time to get distracted from your path as the time passes, and it will not stop for anyone leaving you at a disadvantage. Ms. Stewart’s policy of being strict by not accepting late work at any cost further reinforces Ms.Dibble’s perspective that no one will wait for you, you have to take charge of your activities, and learn to balance your time. From what I have mentioned so far it can be implied that there are resources all around us, in the form of selfless care of Mr. R and Mrs. Lamons, we just need to recognize it. To portray my thoughts I would like to share my story with you guys. I moved to the United States not too long ago, freshman year. I did not speak english very well, or understand the system, and I am still bound to those conservative rituals that limit females to accomplish their dreams. This automatically put me at a disadvantage as compared to those of you who grew-up here, in the United States. However, I did not let those excuses be an obstacle in my way, instead I was able to recognize those resources, and most importantly I was willing to work
I first would like to start off by saying thank you to everyone who attended Madison and Zack’s wedding. For those of you who don’t know me on the Leydig side i’m Nicole, Madison’s best friend since we were little girls. I am honored to stand her, and be apart of her special day. This is the day that we have been planning on since we were nine years old. We had a big scrapbook full of pictures, and the wedding was planned down to the month and date.
Good morning everyone, my name is Lindsey Baglio and I have been honored to serve as the commencement orator for the Curry College class of 2017. President Quigley, faculty, family, friends, and fellow graduates, I am honored to speak to you today as we reach another milestone in our lives. First, I’d like to thank the administration and faculty here at Curry for their hard work and dedication, because let’s face it, without them half of us wouldn’t be here. Throughout our time here we had friends turn into family and now, professors who will turn into colleagues.
Our sweetest songs are those of saddest thought. I hear the gentle laughter from my sister, I see the love radiating from my mom, and I feel the pride that my dad has for me. I’m surrounded by my favorite people. My parents, simple people with faint wrinkles and grey hair peppered within the darkness; they give me smiles that I can see are hinted with sadness. I feel each gaze that falls on me everytime my sister, the spunky redhead who’s always the life of the party, doesn’t think that I’m paying attention.
Good Morning Mavis, All is well with me and I hope all is well with you too. I enjoy reading your mails too and would always look forward to read more. “Run, pass it” is what I always hear from my best friend every time I play a soccer match with him. He likes to encourage the team to work hard to succeed. My friend, Khoa, a striker and a captain of a soccer team in high school. He can’t go anywhere without carrying his ball in a bag. Soccer is definitely his favorite sport and I couldn’t know exactly when he started to love playing soccer so much, all I could remember was a time when he came to my house and we watched a soccer game between Brazil and Argentina on TV, he screamed loudly when a player scored a goal.

It’s crazy to think that not that long ago we were the girls who though getting married and having kids wasn't for us. Now here we are getting ready for one of the biggest days of your life. Who would have guessed that your first real date would be the last one you would ever go on. I am so happy I was able to convince you to go that night.
I would like to genuinely thank your family for graciously donating this scholarship. I also apologize for the delay of this letter. There is no excuse for this belatedness, but I assure you that I am in no way ungrateful. In a silly way, my lack of punctuality allows me to inform you in this letter that I will not be able to attend the awards ceremony regarding your scholarship. Again, I promise I am not taking your generosity for granted.
For my seventieth birthday party speech I will say what I enjoyed about my life so far. It will start like this. Hey everyone I can’t believe I am seventieth already. Time flies like a bird can fly. I really enjoy everyone here and thank you all so much for coming today.
I am so honored and proud to call you my brother. You are truly one of a kind. Whenever you set your mind to something you always achieve it. My friends always tell me how I have such a great brother but in reality I have an amazing brother! We might not always see eye to on things but you are always there to protect and guide me when I truly need it.
Valedictorian Speech Good evening fellow graduates, teachers, family members, friends, and distinguished guests. It is a tremendous honor to be the valedictorian of our graduating class. My job is to somehow be the voice of the entire graduating class, and take five minutes to say a few words on behalf of all 539 of us. Like most valedictorians, writing this speech was not an easy task for me. Not because I did not have anything to say, but because I was overwhelmed by how much I wanted to share with you all on this day. Tonight, we have one common purpose, to celebrate. We are here to congratulate, to look towards what the future holds for us, to wish each other well, and to, most importantly look back on our time spent here. So, I would like to start by saying 'well done' to my fellow graduates, who have all worked hard during the past several years to reach this milestone. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the graduating class for selecting me to speak here tonight. Ever since the news broke, many people, some who've I've never really met before, have come up to me and have wished me well. Perhaps this speech would be incomplete if I don’t say something to the teachers. On the behalf of my entire class, I would like to thank all my teachers: thank you. Thank you for teaching us, for leading us, for building us up as adults. I know that we have not given back to you the respect you deserve. I know that we have not told you how much we appreciate you taking time out of your schedules to help us. And I know that we have not said thank you for giving us a wonderful education. So, I hope that as I say thanks, you can forget our shortcomings and remember us for who we are and not from the mistakes we have made. ...
