Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls this is never before news! It gives me great pleasure to introduce to you a once in a life time interview with one of the biggest mafia families out here in the great Big Apple (a.k.a New York), the Corleone family. We have taken interviews given to some of the family members throughout the years, and put together a little project. It gives me great pleasure to release this astonishing interview into the science world, which will help scientist and the young children on how to remember the cell and its organelles. Cells are important because we humans are made up of cells, without cells we wouldn’t be anything and wouldn’t be able to function. By telling the members of the Corleone family that these interviews were for science, they graciously accepted my offer and helped me out on how to get a better grasp on the cell and its organelles. …show more content…
From my keen observations of the family and based on their statements given to me, I have figured out how some of the members of the Corleone family are similar to the cell and its organelles.
After interviewing Don Vito Corleone, I have figured out that he is the Nucleus, which is the control center of the cell that contains the DNA. The Don controls everything that goes on within the family, and each person within the family listens to whatever he has to say, just like the nucleus. The Don and the nucleus both control what happens within the family or in this case the “cell”. His wife, Carmela, provided food and other necessities for family and friends. Her spirit organelle was the Vacuole; it stores food, water, nutrients, and cell products. Just like the Vacuole, Carmela always stored and provided those necessities for the
family. Then it came time to interview the oldest son of Vito, Sonny Corleone. From the interview, Sonny presented to be a tough man who is stubborn, rude at times, but very protective of his father even though they didn’t have a close relationship. That’s why Sonny had reminded me of the Cell Wall: a thick, rigid wall located outside of the cell membrane. Both are thick; Sonny keeping his feeling built up inside, the wall being thick to protect the exterior of the cell. After that I had a talk with Fredo Corleone, the second oldest son of Vito. Fredo wasn’t really the bright one within the family, and he tended to make a lot of mistakes; so the Don kept him as a driver in his early career before heading off. This reminded me of the Flagella, which provides movement for the cell. Both the Flagella and Fredo provided transportation for their family. The third and youngest son of Vito was Michael. Michael is a head strong man with a kind heart; he is very intelligent and has a special place in the Don’s heart. We later find out that as his career goes on, he helps make business deals or in other words “ribosomes” for the cell. If you haven’t guessed it, I’ve matched up Michael with the nucleolus: a special region inside of the nucleus where ribosomes are made. Of course I couldn’t forget Connie, his youngest child and only daughter. In Connie’s later life, she helps Michael make decisions by shipping out those orders to her nephew Vincent. Then it clicked, she was exactly like the Golgi apparatus! The Golgi collects, modified, packages, and ships cell products; just like Connie does later on. I later had an interview with one of the main body guards, Luca Brasi, and figured out he was similar to the Cell Membrane. The Cell Membrane protects the cell by creating a barrier between the inside and outside of the cell while controlling what enters and exits. Luca was similar to this because he was the muscle of the family and protected them as well as do the deeds of the family. Luca had let me interview the rest of the family’s bodyguards; they got rid of the enemies of the family and people who weren’t useful to the Don anymore. They were just like the Lysosomes within the cell, the Lysosomes recycles warn out cell parts and digest food and other cells. You can say that they always digest the food provided by Carmela, but they always “recycle” their enemies. Now I know that this final interview wasn’t from a family member, but he had a big impacted on Michaels life because he basically got Michael involved in the family business. This man was Captain McCluskey; he helped transport/smug drugs with the family’s enemy which caused tensions between all of the Dons in New York City. The sneaky Captain is similar to the Transport Vesicles, the Vesicles transport compound around the cell. In this case, you could almost say that this vesicle transported drugs behind the cells back!
The Lives of a Cell: Notes of a Biology Watcher by Lewis Thomas consists of short, insightful essays that offer the reader a different perspective on the world and on ourselves.
Good evening. I would like to begin by welcoming each and every one of you to this joyous and stressful occasion.
The Godfather franchise follows the Corleone family, particularly Michael Corleone and his rise to the patriarch of the family business. Initially, Michael had no interest in the business, but as his father—Vito Corleone, then-current Don of the family—was badly wounded following an assassination attempt by a rivaling mob, he felt the need to protect his father and represent his family. Though he took refuge in Sicily as the five most powerful of New York’s crime families—of which the Corleones were part—fought amongst each other, he became fully involved in the business upon his return to the U.S., planning with his father to avenge the death of his brother Sonny.
This speech uses quotes that are skillfully woven into his more personal message, which is a good way of adding humor and providing the speaker with material that is neither offensive or dull. He also includes several jokes that are popular in wedding speeches, but has given his own twist on them to add originality
Humorous Best Man Speech The hotel management have asked me to ask you not to stand on the tables or chairs during the standing ovation at the end of my speech. Now, I asked around for an idea of how long my speech should last, and the general response was about as long as it takes the groom to make love. So with that in mind, thank you, you have been a wonderful audience. Sit and then get back up.

Best Man Wedding Speech Its turning out to be a day packed full new experiences for me. It’s the first time I’ve had the honour of being a best man, It’s the first time that Brandon has complimented me in over 30 years, and it’s the first time I’ve got a free dinner out of him since that kebab he bought me back in 93. So far things have been going pretty well…until now. Start the car Steve.
Cells are the basic building blocks of all living things. The human body is composed of trillions of cells. They provide structure for the body, take in nutrients from food, convert those nutrients into energy, and carry out specialized functions. But it also contains highly organized physical structures which are called intracellular organelles. These organelles are important for cellular function. For instance Mitochondria is the one of most important organelle of the cell. Without Mitochondria more than 95% of the cell’s energy, which release from nutrients would cease immediately [Guyton et al. 2007].
This is the first time Kevin's ever brought me dinner and I?m too nervous to eat it.
" Tommy, comforting other people is easier than you think. When you are at the internment stand next to your Mum and Dad and hold your Mum's hand as you have seen her do with you. Don't stare at your Mum's face looking for any tears because that might worry her as to why you are staring. Spend your time looking at the coffin and... and count to thirty. At the end of every count of thirty look up at your Mum's face and if she is crying tears then squeeze her hand that you are holding in yours, just one squeeze will suffice. That is you comforting your Mum. Don't worry about comforting anyone else at
Not only that, but he has positioned himself as a leader of the community. However, it can be said that Michael, Don Corleone’s son and a military veteran, had completely unraveled that success once the family business had fallen into his lap. In an increasingly more unethical and illegitimate manner, Michael failed to acknowledge the importance of family values and respect for others and started to mix his personal vengeance with business, which Don Corleone would highly disapprove of. This helps us see the comparison of Michael Corleone and how his actions and contradicting moral values represent the corruption and failure of the American
Ladies and Gentlemen, we are gathered here today to lay to rest a very old friend of mine and someone who was close to us all
Thank you very much. Thank you. You have all been very kind to Donald and me, to our young son Barron, and to our whole family. It's a very nice welcome and we're excited to be with you at this historic convention. I am so proud of your choice for president of the United States, my husband, Donald J. Trump.
During my freshman year, I remember encountering microorganisms in a microscope for the first time in my biology class. I examined the way different cells behaved and their overall structure. This was a turning point in the way I envisioned science around me since it gave me insight on living organisms and fostered my spark in biology. As my science curriculum advanced and my drive to learn biology in different interdisciplinary ways intensified, I developed a second passion for chemistry. Throughout my chemistry curriculum, my experience was enriched through experiments and substances reactions. I began to underline a connection between chemistry and biology which cultivates my desire for studying biochemistry.
Because cells are the ‘basic unit of life’, the study of cells, cytology, can be considered one of the most important areas of biological research. Almost every day on the evening news, we are told about new discoveries in cell biology, such as cancer research, cloning, and embryology.
