Good morning everyone. I am Dorothy Drewe, mother of two wonderful sons and a lovely daughter and wife of a business man. And as a parent, I have a lifetime dream for my children and that is to finish studying and have a pleasant life. However, Robert Drewe, my eldest son, a thoughtful and friendly son who I trusted so much, made a stupid and careless mistake that destroyed our family. He changed so much without me knowing. Does he still value our family? You may be wondering, what terrible blunder did he do to destroy our family? I still remember that unforgettable day precisely as it was the most haunting incident I ever experienced in my life. The day I learned all about the lies Robert always made as he goes out our front door. The day …show more content…
She was sitting at the bar stool while Robert was helping me prepare the food. I was delighted speaking to another female that I didn’t notice the duplicity in front of me. They both acted innocent that I immediately trusted Ruth and accepted her as family. But then, Robert said, “Ruth’s pregnant”. He said that out of nowhere while smiling broadly towards me. I was dumbfounded at the statement that I forgot everything except for the unexpected announcement. Both of them stared at me expecting to receive my blessing judging by their cheerful expressions. I was furious that I slammed every cook wares at the sink not minding the food being wasted. Then I started saying how he dare do that to me when I sacrificed my dreams for him. I didn’t stop until, Robert and Ruth went away from the kitchen preventing further chaos at the kitchen. Then I began crying. I thought Robert listened to my reminders about getting himself into serious trouble. I keep reminding him every day, every time he went out, but what did he do? He got a Catholic female teenager pregnant and told me he wants to be responsible. Is he kidding me? A catholic
Ruth Fowler is Matt’s wife of many years and the mother of Matt’s three children: Steve, Cathleen and the now murdered Frank. Ruth can’t come to terms with Frank’s death and is haunted at all times of the day, whether at home or out in the town shopping and running errands, “She was at Sunnyhurst today getting cigarettes and aspirin, and there he was. She can’t even go out for cigarettes and aspirin. It’s killing her” (108). This quote is a symbolism of her mental state. The anguish of just seeing her son’s killer on the streets with freedom is more than Ruth can mentally comprehend. The anguish of just seeing her son’s killer on the streets with freedom is more than Ruth can mentally comprehend. He can hear her steps down the stair to the cellar. He almost burst into tears. Patrick knows that he can’t give up now, not after he have broken her heart and made up everything so she can leave him. There was no Rebecca, he had no son, his parents didn’t force him into this marriage he was the one who made things look like that both their parents wanted them to get married. Patrick was afraid that she wouldn’t agree to this marriage. I can’t stop now, Patrick thought to himself it’s working she’s believing it; he told himself to hold back the tears but one still slip down his cheek.
Good evening. I would like to begin by welcoming each and every one of you to this joyous and stressful occasion.
What do we know about Ruth? Well, she seems to be very innocent and not at all aware of Bellingham's intentions, maybe due to the fact that she was left an orphan at such early an age. Like in most literature of this era, descriptions of sexuality are left out and the only way we find out that Ruth and Bellingham have a sexual relationship (although of course we guess that this is the case) is when we are told that Ruth is pregnant, but we are never told whether she knows how this baby was conceived. My guess is that she had never been told about sexuality and knew little about marriage, else a religious and piteous girl like her would never have been this blind to what she was doing. She knows that her relationship with Bellingham make other people talk, but she does not seem to understand why. She could not have known how wrong it was and that this really is the case is confirmed by Ruth herself: "I was very young; I did not know how such a life was against God's pure and holy will - at least not as I know it now" (p 246). When she learns that she is expecting a child, her only wish is to make this child grow up to be good and religious. She promises God that she will try only to do good deeds to make up for her sins, a promise she keeps during the rest of her life.
Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen - I must admit, I am more nervous about participating in this wedding than I was as the groom (bridegroom) at my own wedding. Maybe it's because I have been married thirty years and I know what my son is getting himself in to!
Distinguished guests, those of dubious distinction and those of no distinction, family, relatives, in-laws and outlaws, young and old, friends, friends of friends, freeloaders and hangers-on – let me extend a warm welcome to Meradith and Naren’s wedding reception celebration.
His wife was much younger than him, at about the age of 25, and she was constantly looking for attention from her husband. Ms. Ruth had big blue almond shaped eyes with blonde bobbed hair, and a silhouette that most women would dream of. However, she wasn’t near as beautiful on the inside. She would smile at Amelia in front of the Mr. Murdock, then give her looks of disgust from across the room. She often made Amelia wish that she could run away. She would make her sleep on the cold basement floor when she could, while her dog slept in a warm plush bed. Amelia felt as if, Ms. Ruth was secretly punishing her for being in their
It is apparent from the opening few lines of this speech that the groom has an excellent relationship with the bride's parents and this can be really useful, not just in the future, for obvious reasons, but it can also make the speech more humorous. This speech is also a good example of using events in history that happened on the same date as a source of humor.
Thank you for your kind words, I am very proud to be your son-in-law; I hope I can live up to your expectations. I would sincerely like to thank you for welcoming me into your family, for bringing up such a lovely daughter, and for giving me your blessing to marry her.
Ruby’s inner struggle to accept her pregnancy leaves her trapped in a state of denial depicting her desire for total control. TS.1 The yearning for total control over her own life makes evident her lack of belief in a higher power, and all knowing God; and this disbelief forms a foundation for her denial. The root of her denial starts with her marriage, “She had married Bill Hill, a Florida man who sold Miracle Pills” (O’Connor, 68). Ruby’s desire to maintain complete control of her own destiny contributes to her disbelief in a higher power.
My Dearest Donald Hello Donald, I also feel very happy and am satisfied with my love to you. Your sincere words and pure heart made me close to you. I am not christian, but, maybe I have very similar discplines for enjoyable life with love, devotion, loyality, faith, reconciliation to myself and my partner. I am not the person who needs lots attention from others, in other words, am not manizing woman.
The one thing that makes your wedding memorable for your invitees is the lipsmacking food that is served at your wedding. Isn't it? From paapdi chaats to the butter chicken, everything, if perfect, makes all the money you spent on the food worthwhile. However, are you sure the menu you're deciding for your wedding next month is the right one for your health-freak cousins? Won't that friend kill you who kept a watch on her food to look slim, if you simply offer her nothing but pizzas or fried chicken or potatoes?
Roger, we have been best friends since freshman year of highschool and I am truly honored to give the first toast on such momentous evening. You have come so far from that scrawny kid that couldn't manage to squeeze out even a syllable to a girl other than your mom. You have been there for me when I have needed you most and I’d like to think I’ve been there for you as well. We’ve had our rough times, I’m pretty sure we have called each other every name in the book at one point or another, and most of those names are too explicit for a family friendly wedding.
High there! Princess, I’m extremely sorry if I missed judge you infallible and succinct character with regards to smoking, but on the serious note, I asked the question as result of curiosity because the relationship keep growing from strength to strength and I need to find out things that are of paramount importance to me. I’m grateful you don’t indulge yourself into any wayward or deviant behaviors. That’s why I call you my only and only princess. I so appreciate you and I can’t wait to cohabitate with you for the rest of my life.
