Everyone has different values, opinions, and gratitude for life. Some live by the motto, “same thing, different day,” but others have a deeper meaning for life. In the end, death is an inevitable thing for everyone. We all have to die somehow and someday. In 2005, Steve Jobs, a very neurologically complex but yet successful man, gave a commencement address at the University of Stanford, in California. He lived in the belief that death is what makes us live to the fullest. Just knowing that we are going to die, will help us with the challenges we face in life, and how we confront these challenges. Some think of it more like a pass through rather than a journey full of spontaneity, love, and emotion. Regardless of what may happen, we have to learn to embrace all that comes our way and hope for a better day. There will always be challenges that we have to face, and struggles we have to deal with. Life is not all that good, but it's not that bad either, somehow it evens out. Life itself is our greatest challenge of all, but we have to learn how to love it, and like I said, face the challenges it comes with. Steve Jobs, known to many as an intellectually strong minded person, but like all, he was weak at some point. Jobs was diagnosed with an incurable cancer, leaving him to say his goodbye’s sooner than he expected. With time, the found out that his cancer was curable and was treated. He said, “This was the closest I’ve been to facing death...Having lived through it, I can now say this to you with a bit more certainty than when death was a useful but purely intellectual concept:” I interpreted this as Steve trying to say that everything is psychological (mental). Whether we want to survive or not. If we want to achieve anything, we have to first consider whether it’s something we truly love, and desire
