Humorous Wedding Speech By Marie Curie

The audience cheered as Marie Curie Walked up to the stage to accept her award for the second time. When she was handed the award she cheerfully announced “ I am delighted to be here with you this very evening.” “While i'm here let’s talk about how i got the award.”

Childhood
“ I was born on November 7, 1867 I was also the youngest of 5 siblings.” “ When I was 4 years old I loved to look in my father’s cabinet of science awards.” “I was always curious and interested in my father's science stories.” “My two favorite subjects were math and science.” “ When I was old enough to go to school I was homeschooled with my father.” “He was a science teacher and taught a lot of children.” “That was till the house became to dirty and he could not teach

anymore.” “So I had to go to a real public school.” “ In my public school there were guards and we had to learn to speak polish.” “Not to brag but I was the smartest kid in school I could speak both polish and French.” “ I Was always first to answer the questions.” “ Soon I could not stay at that school because I was always being distracted.” “ So my dad sent me to a private school there I was able to to focus and soon I graduated.”

Colledging
“ I was given scholarships to go to a real university Sorbonne.” “ So I went to Sorbonne and I fell in love with Kazimierz.” “ One day we asked for a blessing for marriage but they said no.” “ they did not even want us to be together.” “So I went back to work But I could not bare being around him so i left.” “ Then I found another college that i really liked.” “ Then i couldn't wait to get to work.” “ One day when i was walking around the building I met Perrie that was just as interested in science.” “ I asked him to come to my dorm and sip tea while we discuss science.” “ We did that every evening after class.” “soon he fell in love with me, but i denied i did not want my heart to get broke again.” “ Perrie would not take no as a answer” “ So he kept with it then i fell in love with him.”

Marriage
“ Soon he asked me to be his wife and i agreed.” “We rode our bikes morning to night everyday on our Honeymoon.” We fell more in love everyday.” “ Then i had my first beautiful daughter Irene.” “ Perrie offered to look after Irene while i go back to work.” “I agreed so i went straight to work.” “well I was so busy I did not fell I had time to eat.”

Success and Failure
“ I spent days and days weak from no food.” “ I tried to get the pitchblende out of the rock but it did not work.” “ Most people would have given up but I did not.” “ Oneday I was using tweezers for hours trying to get the pitchblende.” “ It worked i had gotten pitchblende out but when i got it out i found there was something else in the pitchblende making radioactivity” “ well I found out that it was radium.” “ Radium is really dangerous my husband was really sick because of radium.”

Health and sorrow

“ Soon my husband got healthy again and we had another girl Eve.” Well My husband died a few months after that.” “He died from a traffic jam.” “ Marie said that Eve, and Irene were the only things holding her back from dying.” “ She was a teacher teaching science.”
