Good evening ladies and gentlemen, First, I want to start off by thanking my friends, coaches and teachers, my community, and most of all, my family. There is no doubt all of you have helped me become who I am. From my class, I would like to also take this time to thank everyone in attendance tonight. I want to personally thank you for joining us on this glorious evening as we celebrate the first of many milestones. To my best friends Bella and Devin, you have given me countless memories to last infinitely. From spending limitless hours at the lake trying to fish or heading to Whataburger for double dates, you both will always be so dear to my heart. To my classmates, some of you have been by my side since elementary school, while others …show more content…
Your ongoing gaiety for my accomplishments motivates me to strive even higher in my future endeavors. You have always been eager to hear my ambitions and help map out my goals. I am grateful to know that I am always blessed since you continually speak blessings over me. To Laine, It takes a special and dedicated woman to love another’s child so I thank you for making the choice to love me and Ramie as your own. You have taught us that parenthood isn’t through DNA but through love. You are always giving us great tips for hair and outfits, but my favorite thing is that you help us pick on dad a little. Ramie and Dylan, I know our relationships aren’t entirely graceful , but I thank God for hand-picking you to be my best friends, forever. Both of you have invisibly shaped my personality as I repeatedly aim to set a great example for you two to follow. I admire the fact that no matter how upset we are with each other, our brotherly and sisterly love overcome the altercations. To my family, who has seen my worst and still loved me at their best, there are no words to express my reverence. Without each of you, I cannot be who I am today because you all have had the greatest impact on
May the love you express to each other today, always be the first thoughts during any trying times in the future.
I would like to thank all of you for coming here today to help us, as a family, to heal, and to celebrate my mother’s life.
I'd like to thank you all for the outpouring of support and condolences on the loss of my beautiful son Adam. My entire family appreciates it. This is my eulogy to Adam:
...ccess. Our healthy competition has spurred us both to greater heights, although I thought it necessary to add that I did get the higher grade in Maths GCSE. I love your sense of humour and playful nature. You are the only person in the world who makes me laugh out loud. We have shared so special memories together and I'm sure that there will be many more in the future. I look up to you in more ways than you can ever believe. Finally, I can only admire your good taste in women - which brings me onto Peggy, who is as lovely on the inside as she is on the outside.
I now come to the most important person in my life, and that’s Isia my beautiful bride. I am so proud to say that you are my wife you really do look amazing. I am sure that you will all agree that she has done me proud. I wrote this before today so I never knew until now just how amazing you would look. Knowing you like I do I am sure you will now be getting rather embarrassed and possibly a little pink. But I am sorry I must go on.
I want to thank the most wonderful parents a child could ever have. Not only for the love, support and guidance over the years, but also for everything you’ve done towards today. Your massive contribution has been priceless and without you both we would have never managed and today would not have been possible or so special. Thank you Mom and Dad from the bottom of our hearts. And thank you Virginia for having such a wonderful son.
Their success and never ending hard work pushes me to be the best I can ever be. I thank them for giving me the courage to always go after what I want. I thank them for sacrificing so much so that I can follow my dreams. I also want to thank my brothers and sister; Tunde and Lanre, you are the best big brothers a girl could ask for. Sola, you are the best partner in crime and thanks for all the times you had my back.
Kari, I want to note how beautiful you look today, and to tell you that this has truly been a special day for me. Thank you for giving true meaning to the word sister and for sharing the last 28 years with me. My parents and I have just loved this girl from the day she was born. We?ve coddled her, enjoyed her, and laughed with her. I know how much joy she has brought into our lives, and I know that she?ll bring that joy into Ernest?s life...
First of all, I'd like to welcome all the parents, relatives and friends, on behalf of the senior class. It has been a long, hard road to graduation and I know your presence here is greatly appreciated. My job as salutatorian is to reminisce on our past here at County High, a past that reads like a script of a soap opera.
That you instilled in me a strong commitment to my family. I have so many wonderful memories of our relationship. I appreciate so much your sense of humor. It has always been fun to laugh with you.
A few weeks ago, we lost a very special someone. She is not only special in my life, but for almost everyone in this room. She may be a close relative for some of you, maybe her niece or nephew, granny for the little ones, or even a friend. Sharmaine happens to be my dear mother. To everyone here, I’d like to thank you for the support that you have given our family throughout this hardship.
Let me begin by saying that I am very honored to be addressing the County High School Class of 2012 as students of this institution for the last time. We've spent these last four years creating some serious memories: four years of chieftain power, leaking roofs, questionable Homecoming skits, and musical principals. Four years of good teachers, bad teachers, new teachers, old teachers. Four years of youth, music, growing up and breaking free. Four rubber chickens, four yearbooks, four ASB presidents and four chubby bunnies.
Mum shared how important it was to read to me each day. Emma shared how honored she would be to help raise me and care for our family’s domestic
You have showed me the best love anyone could ask for …. The many talks we have will forever remain in my heart and the pep talks you give me before every game remain in my head like they all happened yesterday looking up from the sid line and seeing you there warmed my heart … The many rides from and to school when you did not have to … Praying with me on the way to school … always asking God to guide my way … Always letting me know that I can do all things through christ because he has the final say so … Giving me everything I want but also letting me know that I have to work for it “ JaNihya you have to work for everything you got nothing is free “ as you can say … but I always knew you would buy whatever I wanted anyway …. Dad you have one daughter so you never had the chance to practice along the way and I want you to know that you have done a phenomenal job day in and day out …..
Valedictorian Speech Good evening fellow graduates, teachers, family members, friends, and distinguished guests. It is a tremendous honor to be the valedictorian of our graduating class. My job is to somehow be the voice of the entire graduating class, and take five minutes to say a few words on behalf of all 539 of us. Like most valedictorians, writing this speech was not an easy task for me. Not because I did not have anything to say, but because I was overwhelmed by how much I wanted to share with you all on this day. Tonight, we have one common purpose, to celebrate. We are here to congratulate, to look towards what the future holds for us, to wish each other well, and to, most importantly look back on our time spent here. So, I would like to start by saying 'well done' to my fellow graduates, who have all worked hard during the past several years to reach this milestone. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the graduating class for selecting me to speak here tonight. Ever since the news broke, many people, some who've I've never really met before, have come up to me and have wished me well. Perhaps this speech would be incomplete if I don’t say something to the teachers. On the behalf of my entire class, I would like to thank all my teachers: thank you. Thank you for teaching us, for leading us, for building us up as adults. I know that we have not given back to you the respect you deserve. I know that we have not told you how much we appreciate you taking time out of your schedules to help us. And I know that we have not said thank you for giving us a wonderful education. So, I hope that as I say thanks, you can forget our shortcomings and remember us for who we are and not from the mistakes we have made. ...
