Before I commence my speech I will like to thank my family, teachers, & friends that support me and believe in me. I feel honored to be standing before you all today. I have thought for so long of what I should say tonight when it sparked to me that most of the things I should say as "Valedictorian" have already been said to you before by those who care about you: follow your dreams, drugs can kill you, and much more. So I decided to share some moments with you instead. During the past two weeks that we have not attended school I have had mixed emotions. I have been able to go to sleep late, wake up late, not worry about homework and had no classes to attend. This was a bitter sweet feeling knowing that time flies by. For the first …show more content…
Oh Man! The biggest year of them all. The year where we thought we knew who we were, the year where we thought we knew what we wanted to do in life, but little did we know that all of these thoughts would change as we approached sophomore year. I remember when a couple of you and I joined the drill team for AFJORTC. I clearly remember when Raul Romero tried to command the flight and his voice would crack. Oh gash was it obvious that puberty was not his friend at that point. But that was occurring to many of us. We were physically, mentally, and emotionally growing up. Some of us were lost, shy and clueless of the drama happening around …show more content…
The year we had been waiting for. The year that the library looked like a pond of fishes. Where many of you were trying to catch up on work, applying to colleges and scholarships, or just trying to release stress. This year can be related to playing football. The main goal is to make a touchdown. You spend day and nights practicing all the moves necessary to score; then game day finally approaches. You go out into the field and try to do everything you can but all the players on the opposing team end up knocking you down before you can get your touchdown. Little did your coach know that you had been practicing other strategies just in case this would happen and bam! You end up scoring. That my friends is like applying to college. You try to do everything you can in high school in order to get accepted into college but not all will always say yes. But, since you were precautious you applied to more than one and you end up going to college. From the moment you receive your diploma your future awaits. And it's up to you to keep your eye on your dream, so dream
My freshman year was suppossed to be my year, the year I was finally going
I would like to thank my family for their love, support, and understanding through this journey. Lily, Addicyn, and Savanah, you are my greatest inspirations in life, as you have truly shown me anything is possible. I would like to thank my loving husband, Jon for his support, compassion, and believing in me. Thank you for pushing me past my own expectations, as I now understand limitations only exist as long as one believes there are limits. Push hard, one foot in front of other, and dare to dream.
Sophomore year was an easy going year compared to my other years before and after. Sophomore year was a year where I thought of my dreams and future. Even though I haven’t participated in any school clubs, I still felt fulfilled. Sophomore year was a year filled with new challenges.
First of all, I'd like to welcome all the parents, relatives and friends, on behalf of the senior class. It has been a long, hard road to graduation and I know your presence here is greatly appreciated. My job as salutatorian is to reminisce on our past here at County High, a past that reads like a script of a soap opera.
Good evening parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, and friends. I would like to thank you all for coming to this very special day. I know how proud you must be. As we have grown over the years, there are many stages we all have gone through. From learning our shapes and colors, to getting our first kiss in middle school, or how about explaining to our parents why we skipped school because the principal called home. As we remember these days, things that we've done will be with us forever. But this is only the start of our journey. The day has come where we say goodbye to the big yellow buses, assemblies, assigned seating, and attendance policies. Are you really gonna miss it? For some of us maybe not right away. But eventually we will so for us to be here it is not necessarily an achievement, but a privilege. All of us have been in school over half our lives. To graduate is one more step we've taken in our lives.
now: A) I am grateful you for instilling the need that I now have of appreciating love, the importance of loving someone and the experience that it brings when you're also loved. The best of all, the vulnerability of what love has to offer because I know what rejection feels like since I never heard or felt "love" from you. B) I thank you for the hunger you instilled in me in always being and getting the best, to never settle for anything but that so that I could not experience what you put my mother through in my own marriage. C) If you had been the father that I wanted and needed at the time, then I would never have discovered how to be such a strong willed person.
Hello fellow students and staff members; I’m here today to speak about the journey it took for us graduates, the class of 2016, to make it to this incredible day; but as far as discussing our succession, I would first like to thank the staff and Principal Fitterling for giving me this wonderful opportunity to speak. I’m very grateful to be selected. I would like to also thank all of the family members who are here today for coming to take the time out of their day, to see their children's lives change in a matter of minutes. The Speech St. Charles West is known for showing the most school spirit, especially the class of 2016.
Oh.... my..... goodness..... Stop what you're doing, please I Demand you to focus on me because as I stand here before, you staring into your eyes I am seriously stunned By what I can see. Unfortunately, the outbreak has not been 100% cured, again I am faced amongst you people annoyed and shocked because you all have been lied to. I'm deadly afraid to tell you that that somehow someone has told you some false, invalid words, that when put together can form a naughty phrase that intends to dramatically destroy and take over your very own lives, only if you don't put a stop to it immediately. Put A stop to it with the 6 magic words that I will reveal to you further into this speech.
Good evening everyone, I'd like to start by thanking Jim for the use of his beautiful home. Thank you, Jim. I am so happy to be standing up here tonight next to my brother and my new sister. I have thought of Mikaela as a sister for a long time now. When one of the worst things I could ever imagine happened to me and I lost my home in a fire, Thomas and Mikaela selflessly took me into their home and gave me shelter and food while asking for nothing in return.
Hey Tomomi, I’d first like to apologize with how slow I’m replying. I know it’s inexcusable, but I just felt like there was too much going on around me. I promise to reply faster and that I’d do my best even though my schedule is crazy. How are you doing? I’m so sad that you left Facebook because I loved seeing your posts about your wedding and the well wishes your friends are sending you.
Good afternoon everyone, I would like to take take a few minutes of your time to speak about the lovely couple that we are here to celebrate today. In the society we live in today, it is an honor to be able to do anything for 25 years. Therefore, to have to ability to preserve a marriage this long is a significant accomplishment. Congratulations, Mom and Dad.
Congrats on your new job! How was your half marathon? I met this dude in Islamabad who is an ultra runner. His warm up run was 25 miles. This is an abnormal hobby. It can't be healthy for your knees/joints to beat on them like that.
Forty five years together time flies, oh so fast. It does seem like yesterday that we meet at Southgate Shopping Center. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me; you have always been at my side and sometimes you had to lead. There have been some tough times but mostly good times.
An invitation to your old flame's wedding just arrived. There's a slight pang. Memories of your relationship come flooding back and you spend a few days deciding if you should politely decline and send a nice gift, or keep your chin up and RSVP yes. It is completely understandable and in no way rude to decline the invitation if you feel uncomfortable about it. If you fear your presence at the wedding could be awkward for the couple, rest assured that they wouldn't have invited you unless they genuinely hope you will be able to attend.
Valedictorian Speech Good evening fellow graduates, teachers, family members, friends, and distinguished guests. It is a tremendous honor to be the valedictorian of our graduating class. My job is to somehow be the voice of the entire graduating class, and take five minutes to say a few words on behalf of all 539 of us. Like most valedictorians, writing this speech was not an easy task for me. Not because I did not have anything to say, but because I was overwhelmed by how much I wanted to share with you all on this day. Tonight, we have one common purpose, to celebrate. We are here to congratulate, to look towards what the future holds for us, to wish each other well, and to, most importantly look back on our time spent here. So, I would like to start by saying 'well done' to my fellow graduates, who have all worked hard during the past several years to reach this milestone. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the graduating class for selecting me to speak here tonight. Ever since the news broke, many people, some who've I've never really met before, have come up to me and have wished me well. Perhaps this speech would be incomplete if I don’t say something to the teachers. On the behalf of my entire class, I would like to thank all my teachers: thank you. Thank you for teaching us, for leading us, for building us up as adults. I know that we have not given back to you the respect you deserve. I know that we have not told you how much we appreciate you taking time out of your schedules to help us. And I know that we have not said thank you for giving us a wonderful education. So, I hope that as I say thanks, you can forget our shortcomings and remember us for who we are and not from the mistakes we have made. ...
