Another fine morning. Another great day. The Sun is out, spreading mild warmth and radiance all over, its shine so impeccable that even the dew drops on those nascent flowers imitate it. Soaking in, these positive vibes, I move over to check, what's happening around the world, with my friends, on Facebook. Nothing new! A friend enjoying snow, abroad, our PM Modi yet again managing to mesmerize the crowd, a friend getting married, is among a few prominent posts I see, until its too late for my class. But while getting ready for the class, while commuting to the college, while ongoing lectures, while taking lunch, I notice, a thought, perhaps a fragment, has managed to follow me all through this while. Its about me, about you and about all the Indian men, their so called manliness and most importantly, about our future/current brides. …show more content…
But the more prominent thought that strikes the mind, is "Are we really ready for marriage, are we worthy for our brides, are we ready to commit fully and wholeheartedly to our better halves?" Lets consider a bride's perspective for proper dissection of the above questions raised. She has dreamed of this day since her childhood. A day which will be her greatest and happiest day. She would happily leave her home, PERMANENTLY, her identity, her near and dear ones just for him.(I have stayed in hostel for many years, so I know how it is like to leave home even for few

Respond to at least TWO prompts and to AT LEAST TWO of your classmates. 1. What types of "special occasion" speeches have you attended? What made these speeches memorable? Be specific.
Waves of idle chatter emanated from the grand dining hall as the lords and ladies of Knavewich anxiously awaited the grand arrival of their ruler, King Abimelech. His Majesty was to be the officiator of the annual graduation banquet, a feast held in honour of the young squires who had proven themselves worthy of joining the Knavewich Coalition of Knights – the village’s elite defensive league. However, to the uneasy curiosity of the attendants, the king was mysteriously absent from his throne at the far end of the ebony table. The chamber was decorated exquisitely for the occasion.
The Speech Thank you, Emily, I would also like to thank, The Governors, Teachers, Pupils, Parents, Mum, Dad, Rabonim, Specifically Rabbi Pereira… Being the first class of your teaching career, I’m surprised we did not put you off for life. If you survived our class, the rest, is plain sailing, and of course our guest of honor tonight, Naomi Ellenbogen. As a token of our appreciation for being here tonight we would like to present you with this gift. I have been on a remarkable journey throughout my time at King David, of which the experiences have been fueled by the motivation and total dedication of both the teachers and the governors. The amount of effort that they put in of course, has to be reciprocated with our own hard work and contributions
Goodmorning everybody, & Hey Sis! Have I ever called you that before? I think somewhere along the lines of calling you annoying and bossy I never remembered to call you “Sis,” but you are—and always have been—the best sister a girl could've grown up with. Sooo this speech obviously goes you my older & crazy sister Cathy! I want to start off by saying a few things and by thanking you.
Greetings Uncle, My most honourable Uncle, I am writing to inform you of a multitude of misconducts by the Duke of Ferrara, and to persuade you to abolish the marriage plans between him and your daughter immediately. The Duke is an abominable man who is unfit to marry your amiable, well-mannered daughter, Carol. With disheartening, horrific evidence at hand, I sincerely hope to change your mind about the entirety of this marriage. I attended his most recent speech at his palace and learned much about him that I feel would be of concern to you. The Duke of Ferrara is a distasteful, abhorrent man who wishes to control everything around him.
Hi there, I’m Dominique! * Weh yuh ah deal wid* tonight? That’s how we ask “What are you doing tonight?” in my homeland of Jamaica.
Good evening everyone, I would like to welcome all parents, teachers, friends, family, distinguished guests, and of course, the graduating class of 18. As well as the parents for helping your kid stay in school for a whole nother year, that was some very, very tuff work - a huge round of applause for the parents We’ve come so far from where we have started, as a class, and by yourself. We all started at the bottom, and look where we are now.
Ah! Time be pampered Leaving parents’ house, surely a lot of pampering is done to make her happy, especially treating her like princess. 3. “Where is the groom?
Hook: People are people, whoever they love. Nobody has the right to choose their destiny. If the government were to say that straight people couldn't marry there would be riot upon riot, so why aren’t we outraged by the decisions in place already? We do nothing about it, we let the people running our country be untruthful, hypocritical, and two-faced which has lead to false educational decisions.
Good evening ladies and gentlemen, First, I want to start off by thanking my friends, coaches and teachers, my community, and most of all, my family. There is no doubt all of you have helped me become who I am. From my class, I would like to also take this time to thank everyone in attendance tonight. I want to personally thank you for joining us on this glorious evening as we celebrate the first of many milestones. To my best friends Bella and Devin, you have given me countless memories to last infinitely.
I want to first apologize for this long email, but I want to answer the many questions that will come from this email and explain what my family have been doing over the years. As many of you know, over the past eleven and one-half years, Julie and I decided to homeschool our daughters to avoid the pitfalls of our local schools. Although we were not educators, we felt passionate about giving our daughters an education that was not traditional. Looking back, we understood the risks involved, which we all dearly paid for with loss of income, stress, limited rest, tears, shorten vacations, nonexistent celebrations, etc. In other words, homeschool education has been by far the hardest part of raising our daughters. However, we were fortunate to have the support of many of you over the years, which helped us do everything in our power to guide our daughters to a top twenty university. There was help of all kind, from your emotional support, your conversations with them concerning their education, to buying a simple lunch, gifting bookbags, a computer, and even wanting to be part of the process by paying for some of their community college courses while they were in high school. Some of you even supported Julie and I in numerous ways so we can continue our difficult mission. For that, we will always thank you.
A day where she can finally have her fairy tale wedding; a day that is dedicated to her. The expectations however take away the fun from a wedding which results in many complications before that day. In the article, “Bridal Hunger Games,” by Linda Lee shows how brides are willing to go to great lengths just to get the ideal body shape for their wedding dress. Instead of using the body that they have, they work ten times harder just to get that ideal body. In another reading called, “Brideland,” by Naomi Wolf, demonstrates how this day is expected by everyone to be the greatest and best day of their lives. Bridal magazines are everywhere to constantly remind women that they 're supposed to always remember that marriage is going to be the greatest thing to ever happen to them. One thing that I noticed was the reading discuss how the man plays a role in planning the wedding, that is because he normally doesn’t. It’s normally the woman coming down to wedding planning because again, that is the best day of her
