Good afternoon staff, family members, friends, and fellow graduates. It is an honor to speak to all of you today. First of all, I would like to thank my family, especially my parents, for all of their unconditional love and support. Thank you mom, for teaching me to never give up and for being there for me when I needed you most. Thank you dad, for always supporting my dreams and encouraging me. Thank you teachers, for nurturing our knowledge. Thank you staff, for always ensuring that we had a friendly and welcoming environment to learn in. Before I begin, I would just like to note that I will be saying my speech in English and Spanish, I know there are many Spanish speaking families present. We are gathered here today to celebrate the
I want to thank you, Dr. Sherry, for all the effort and support you provide to the students. I learned a lot from having you as a Professor, and I’m looking forward having you as a Professor in my other
First of all, I'd like to welcome all the parents, relatives and friends, on behalf of the senior class. It has been a long, hard road to graduation and I know your presence here is greatly appreciated. My job as salutatorian is to reminisce on our past here at County High, a past that reads like a script of a soap opera.
Today, as we graduate, with degree nearly in hand, I challenge each of you to make a difference in whatever you do. Remember that life didn't end when we re-entered school. Life continued throughout our program. Even when stretched to the limit, life only got more challenging. And now, graduating, life only changes pace. Our degree completion is not really an ending as much as a new beginning as we re-enter our lives of work and home. We thank all of our family, friends, instructors and co-workers who helped see us through this process. Thank you for this opportunity and good luck to you all.
Good evening parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, and friends. I would like to thank you all for coming to this very special day. I know how proud you must be. As we have grown over the years, there are many stages we all have gone through. From learning our shapes and colors, to getting our first kiss in middle school, or how about explaining to our parents why we skipped school because the principal called home. As we remember these days, things that we've done will be with us forever. But this is only the start of our journey. The day has come where we say goodbye to the big yellow buses, assemblies, assigned seating, and attendance policies. Are you really gonna miss it? For some of us maybe not right away. But eventually we will so for us to be here it is not necessarily an achievement, but a privilege. All of us have been in school over half our lives. To graduate is one more step we've taken in our lives.
Therefore, I would like to personally thank my family and I hope you'll join me in a round of applause in thanking all of your families as well. I believe I speak for every senior gathered here when I say that this day seemed like it would never arrive. Graduation has always seemed like a far off event, never to be attained. Yet, against all odds, we've managed to make it. From the countless hours spent trying to comprehend calculus to all the time spent solving physics practice problems... everything has led up to this singular moment.
Two years ago, I would not be able to stand up here and talk in front of all of you. *Chuckle* who am I kidding I wouldn't have had the guts to come up here one year ago. Let alone two. Just the fact that I'm able to be up here and not throw up is a miracle and thanks to that miracle, all of you have to sit there and suffer through my speech when you'd rather be at home sleeping in.
Goodmorning everybody, & Hey Sis! Have I ever called you that before? I think somewhere along the lines of calling you annoying and bossy I never remembered to call you “Sis,” but you are—and always have been—the best sister a girl could've grown up with. Sooo this speech obviously goes you my older & crazy sister Cathy! I want to start off by saying a few things and by thanking you.
Greetings Uncle, My most honourable Uncle, I am writing to inform you of a multitude of misconducts by the Duke of Ferrara, and to persuade you to abolish the marriage plans between him and your daughter immediately. The Duke is an abominable man who is unfit to marry your amiable, well-mannered daughter, Carol. With disheartening, horrific evidence at hand, I sincerely hope to change your mind about the entirety of this marriage. I attended his most recent speech at his palace and learned much about him that I feel would be of concern to you. The Duke of Ferrara is a distasteful, abhorrent man who wishes to control everything around him.
Dad, thank you for your endless motivational speeches and your silly jokes. Mom and Dad I hope that I made your American Dream come true. I also want to thank my classmates for welcoming me into the JMA family. Thanks for taking me in and being my friend. You guys are amazing.
I’d like to welcome you all to this special occasion our graduation. After the endless hours of saying :”omg i cant wait till we are done and there is no more school.” we are finally graduating and getting out of here. Though we are super excited to start a new chapter of our lives we would like to properly express our gratitude to all those who helped us get here today. to our teachers, we’d like to thank you for all the time and effort you put into making sure that we understood everything in your class.
Thank you for all you have done for the past 18 years of my life. Thank you for being my biggest supporters, and telling me to follow my dreams. Thank you for raising me like I am, and taking me on all kinds of trips, and exploring new things. Thank you for allowing me to get a dog 13 years ago. Without Daisy I don't know what I would do.
As the Big Day approaches fast, Name & I want to congratulate you and Derek. You two look great together and it is such an amusement to see two people getting marry who are clearly made for each other just like the two of you. Name & I had been looking forward for your marriage with Derek ever since you caught the bouquet at our wedding two years ago. I am truly overjoyed to hear the news that you and Derek are getting marry as we have been anticipating this day for so long and we are thrilled to be your best man and maid of honour.
Hi, my name is Pat and I would like to start today by thanking the seniors of 2012 for choosing me to speak today. It is truly my honor.
To our instructors, thank you for sticking with us, for insisting that we not give up. That we strive to be, not only, the best nurses we can be, but also the best people we can be. You ladies never gave up on us, you pushed us through, and here we are graduating. And for that I, no we, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Also, we would like to thank Linda Sanford, for stepping up to the plate and getting us to where we needed to be.
Valedictorian Speech Good evening fellow graduates, teachers, family members, friends, and distinguished guests. It is a tremendous honor to be the valedictorian of our graduating class. My job is to somehow be the voice of the entire graduating class, and take five minutes to say a few words on behalf of all 539 of us. Like most valedictorians, writing this speech was not an easy task for me. Not because I did not have anything to say, but because I was overwhelmed by how much I wanted to share with you all on this day. Tonight, we have one common purpose, to celebrate. We are here to congratulate, to look towards what the future holds for us, to wish each other well, and to, most importantly look back on our time spent here. So, I would like to start by saying 'well done' to my fellow graduates, who have all worked hard during the past several years to reach this milestone. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the graduating class for selecting me to speak here tonight. Ever since the news broke, many people, some who've I've never really met before, have come up to me and have wished me well. Perhaps this speech would be incomplete if I don’t say something to the teachers. On the behalf of my entire class, I would like to thank all my teachers: thank you. Thank you for teaching us, for leading us, for building us up as adults. I know that we have not given back to you the respect you deserve. I know that we have not told you how much we appreciate you taking time out of your schedules to help us. And I know that we have not said thank you for giving us a wonderful education. So, I hope that as I say thanks, you can forget our shortcomings and remember us for who we are and not from the mistakes we have made. ...
