My mother’s dream was to live in peace and be able to prosper. By just arriving to America she was able to accomplish one of her dreams. She was free from the war back home. She no longer had to walk with white flags for her own protection. Now living in America she had opportunities that she would of never had back in her home. She got a job being a house and child sitter. My mother’s American dream came true. This was all thanks to keeping her hope and keeping her eyes set on her
My American Dream is a mixture from the American Dream In the early 1930’s and now in 2015. My dream is owning a big white house with a white picket fence and to have the perfect family. It is also to have a job that pays a lot and to be treated as equals to not only men but to everybody. My Dream is that one day in the future I will get thru college and get a job as a psychiatrist and to eventually open my own place. My dream also is knowing that I can be myself and I will still be treated as an equal and nobody can change that. Overall my dream is to be able to make my mom and dad proud of me to show them that they raised and outstanding daughter that can make it somewhere, and to make a good example for my younger
The vision of the American Dream is unique in every individual person. It is uncertain that each person wants to achieve this dream, but it is completely possible for each and every person to apply themselves to complete their pathway. My vision of the American Dream is to be doing what I love, surrounding myself by who I love, and having self love. In order to achieve this, my pathway consists of many struggles and determination. I am determined to achieve what my previous ancestors could not. My job will be an occupation that appeals to my interests and I will continue to participate in hobbies I enjoy. I will have a loving and unbreakable family. Most of all, I will be happy with myself and know my worth.

...United States February 13, 2010, which was one of the happiest moments of our lives we finally got the chance to be with our mother again and live as a family. When I first came to the united stated I was just home for one year because I had already completed high school back in Guyana, then I did my GED in 2011 and got a job at a wholesaler jewelry place, where I was required to travel a lot to different states so I didn’t got a change to start college since I was travelling a lot. This went on for some time and then I had to call it quit I love travelling but I wanted to go to college. In 2013 I started college in spring majoring in accounting, I still kept my job but I’m just not travelling anymore. My short term goal is to complete college and get my bachelor degree and my long term goal is to own my own accounting firm, get a house and have a family of my own.

Good Morning sweetheart. I first want to apologize for my actions last night. You're a very frustrating woman, to say the least. I've never met anyone like you with such will and determination. I'm not saying that is a bad thing, it's just not something I am used to.

I look forward to continuing on taking the best out of life with everything she has taught me through my lifetime. I am always impressed that she is a hard working woman, who has always supported my interests and has been proud of my accomplishments. She is the person who impatiently with discretion waited for my dad to be back, praying that he returned home safe, as he risked his life out there, in the desert for his family about twice a year. Yes, my father was an illegal immigrant who crossed the border, or as many say entered the U.S. as a “mojado” which translates to “wetback”. In a more understanding way, my dad did not only have to walk across the desert, but had to get through the rough rivers that he encountered.
Good afternoon staff, family members, friends, and fellow graduates. It is an honor to speak to all of you today. First of all, I would like to thank my family, especially my parents, for all of their unconditional love and support. Thank you mom, for teaching me to never give up and for being there for me when I needed you most. Thank you dad, for always supporting my dreams and encouraging me.
Goodmorning everybody, & Hey Sis! Have I ever called you that before? I think somewhere along the lines of calling you annoying and bossy I never remembered to call you “Sis,” but you are—and always have been—the best sister a girl could've grown up with. Sooo this speech obviously goes you my older & crazy sister Cathy! I want to start off by saying a few things and by thanking you.
Good evening everyone, I'd like to start by thanking Jim for the use of his beautiful home. Thank you, Jim. I am so happy to be standing up here tonight next to my brother and my new sister. I have thought of Mikaela as a sister for a long time now. When one of the worst things I could ever imagine happened to me and I lost my home in a fire, Thomas and Mikaela selflessly took me into their home and gave me shelter and food while asking for nothing in return.
Dad as I sit her reflecting back over my life, my up and my downs, reminiscing on how fortunate I am to have you as a father and a leader. I just want to say thank you. Thank you for being such a wonderful and caring father! Thank you for being my friend and my tea partner! Thank you for taking me to my first dance!
