The room was buzzing with excited chatter. Children running in between tables because they can’t sit still any longer. Then the room gets silent and you hear “please stand as we welcome the new Mr. and Mrs.”. Everyone stands in applause cheering for the happy couple who is smiling and holding hands. The best man made a rattle with his spoon and his glass and gave a touching speech about the newlyweds. Shortly after the speech ended, the music began to blare. People flooded the dance floor, getting out all their bottled up energy out through dance. All of a sudden everyone gathered around in a big circle, cheering and laughing. The bride's sister is in the middle of the circle, dancing like a lunatic. She’s noticed all the eyes are on her, but could not care less. She thought about many ways to divert the attention away from the bride. Ruining the cake, destroying presents, or spilling wine on the guest book. But none of these ideas seemed like the right one for the attention starved sister. She finally concocted the perfect plan that would give her all the attention. During the bouquet toss she was going to do whatever was necessary to get those flowers. When the bride tossed her bouquet, her sister dove over one of the bridesmaid’s and made a diving catch for the bouquet. The bride was terrified for what her sister had just done. The sister had made a fool of herself and hurt her sisters bridesmaid. The bride’s sister accomplished what she set out to do. She got everyone's attention, but the attention was negative and everyone was scolding her for what she had just done. Once the unfavorable attention left the sister, everyone was focused on helping the bridesmaid. The sister was once again depressed, but for a different reason this
