The attempt to eliminate human trafficking is not a new fight, it has been going on for decades, but it has been becoming a larger priority for developed countries in recent years. The United Kingdom is one such country that has been putting forth greater effort in this fight. Even so, the numbers continue to rise across the UK. Simply put, the efforts are failing to make a significant difference. Over the past five years, numbers have increased at an alarming rate.
