Shockingly, most human trafficking in Minnesota is actually done to US citizens who are classified as ‘white’ as opposed to immigrant populations. Human Trafficking is usually not how we envision it, where someone is locked up, but, rather, the girls and sometimes boys are lied to or coerced into preforming the sexual acts. Many of these at risk youth are often run-aways. Furthermore, human trafficking does not need to involve moving a person across borders. It just involve the pressuring of someone into preforming sexual acts.
