One night Matthew and I went fishing at a special spot on old hickory one night, we were out to catch a big one. At one point, Matthew decided to walk to the boat dock about 200 feet away. The whole walk there he said he sensed someone behind him and heard footsteps. He thought I was walking with him, but when he turned around he was alone. He said it creeped him out pretty bad and he said that he never wants to go back to that spot with me again. Now flash forward to a couple of weeks later. I decided to fish this spot by myself. I had completely forgotten about my friend’s experience. I got to the dock and unloaded everything and started to soak some catfish bait. It was a clear, moonless night with no wind or breeze perfect conditions for
Alright. So I was telling you about that gym teacher I had who was a substitute teacher, and he always claimed that he… would get in the “zone” and be able to, like, see ghosts and stuff and communicate with them. He was at a Wawa one time, and he stepped outside and there was an old man out there, and he was like, “Excuse me, sir. . . I just need your help for a second.” He was like, “Yea, sure… whatta ya need?” And the old man was like, “Could you go into this store… and ya see that lady over there?” She’s like an elderly lady. “So could you like go over there and tell her that I love her?” And then he told him his name, ya know, whatever it was, and my gym teacher was like, “Yea, sure.”… So he went in there, and… he went up to the lady and he was like, “Hey, I had a message from John,” whatever the hell his name was, “And he wanted me to tell you that he loves you.” And she told him that John had been dead for a couple of years… He described what he looked like to her, and she was like, “Yea, that’s definitely John, and he’d definitely do something like that.” Umm, yea. So, I mean, I don’t know if it’s true or not, but, he told stories like that all the time.
One night, around 1:00 a.m., my roommates and I were sitting in the common room, and I asked the group if they knew of a compelling ghost story. My one roommate, a 20 year old from Pennsylvania, said she had heard a ghost story at the summer sleep-away camp she had attended when she was younger. She heard the story around a campfire in the woods of Camp Tonikanee, which is in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. She described her story as one that the counselors would tell the campers to convince them the camp was haunted.
My friend Carl was attending a reenactment of the Battle of Gettysburg. He went to a rocky corner of the battlefield filled with boulders, called Devil’s Den, to take a picture of the battlefield. He took out his camera and as he was about to take the picture, he heard a voice say, “What you’re looking for is over there.” Carl looked up and saw a man who resembled a hippie, wearing a floppy hat, no shoes and had long hair, pointing somewhere in the distance. Carl looked to see where the man was pointing, and when he looked back the man was nowhere in sight.
Since three-forth of the world is composed of bodies of water, it’s natural that a great number of people rely on fishing for their livelyhood or just for their recreation needs. There are numerous of fish species swimming under the lakes, seas, ponds, and rivers. Most anglers consider fishing as the delight in their purpose-driven life, a sport, as they say.
My first fishing experience was with my dad and my older brother when I was seven. Driving up to the creek, walking through the muddy path on the twisting dirt road. I could feel my dad’s pride
Two friends go out for lunch to their usual favorite sushi restaurant. They are seated and given their menus, they knew they were going to get their usual but noticed the prices have increased. Prices have gone up, and some replaced with imitation fish meat, since the last time they ate there. What might have caused this? Due the demand of fish, the price for them also increases. It’s a simple supply and demand logic, but not only is it due to the demand for these fish, it can also be due to their rareness. Over-fishing can cause what is rare and which fish species isn’t. Commercial fishing may cause fish species to go extinct, or bring in new types of fish to take the place of the other fish. In tuna we
You're planning a vacation to Hawaii and want to do some fishing while here. If you're planning to hop on a charter sport fishing boat or some other commercial offshore excursion, you don't have anything to worry about except for showing up at the dock on time.
Grandpa caught 3 and Grandpa’s friend caught 3. Then we started back to the cabin to have the fish cleaned.
One year my family and I decided to go to the Niles Haunted House. This is one of the most well-known haunted houses in the southwest Michigan area. We would go through these scary buildings and the inside was pitch black. You couldn’t even see what was right in front of you. One of the memories from there was a little girl with a baby doll. The girl would not talk. She would stand next to you and follow you from a distance. It was so scary, but a fun
Modern high school systems are troubled and challenged with the prevalence of distraction and technology-induced disobedience. The common problem among the majority of high school students is their overwhelming familiarity with rapid paced technological innovation. This retrofitted environment promotes impatience, disobedience and unfocussed students. I have personally witnessed a severe adaptation in the manner students are perceiving and interacting with teachers and instructors. The students have become predominantly dependent on rapid updates, instant messaging, and unfortunately their cell phones during school hours and activities. This over-dependence on rapid updates and technology has accumulated to an impatient, unintellectual and
Conquering the waters of the world is one of the best experiences to have. This is why the outdoorsman is going to tell you why those waters on the Earth are amazing and how to make it the best experience of the fisherman’s life. Once there appeared a strange optical effect. When he stood between me and the flame he did not obstruct it, for I could see its ghostly flicker all the same. This startled me, but as the effect was only momentary, I took it that my eyes deceived me straining through the darkness. Then for a time there were no blue flames, and we sped onwards through the gloom, with the howling of the wolves around us, as though they were following in a moving circle.
Fishing It is five A.M and you are watching the sunrise by the lake. You grab your fishing rod and cast away for the most relaxing day of your life. It is like you are on vacation. I think people should fish more often.
I looked up at the black sky. I hadn't intended to be out this late. The sun had set, and the empty road ahead had no streetlights. I knew I was in for a dark journey home. I had decided that by traveling through the forest would be the quickest way home. Minutes passed, yet it seemed like hours and days. The farther I traveled into the forest, the darker it seemed to get. I was very had to even take a breath due to the stifling air. The only sound familiar to me was the quickening beat of my own heart, which felt as though it was about to come through my chest. I began to whistled to take my mind off the eerie noises I was hearing. In this kind of darkness I was in, it was hard for me to believe that I could be seeing these long finger shaped shadows that stretched out to me. I had this gut feeling as though something was following me, but I assured myself that I was the only one in the forest. At least I had hoped that I was.
One day, there was a man, walking through the woods to get back home. The man had quite a way to go to get back home but, it was getting late, and all he had was a flashlight, a small knife, and a video recorder. The man was hearing weirder and weirder noises as he was walking, he was also starting to see weird shapes in the distance, almost as if it was a tall thin man looking at him with tentacle like things coming out of his back, and spreading in the air.
