I also studied eight grade in that middle school. At the end of the year 2015, I make a lot of friends and some very close friends. I become the teacher’s pet. I have very good grades and I was in perfect in school. In 8th grade senior awards and other awards ceremony, I received one gold medal, four Principal’s honorable roll, one student month, and one certificate of award in Arista honor society. In graduation night, I took picture with all my teachers and my favorite teacher Mr. Sinacori and my friends, and I meet new student from different class and that night was fun night, we cry, we laugh.
Now, I am studying in International high school at LaGuardia Community College at nine grade(freshman). Before the school start in September 9,
I attend both of orientation days. I meet up with many people from different grades and I got know about the school. The main reason I attended orientation was so I could know people and make them my friends so it could be easy for me later and now I know many people from different strands and team. In the school, I become really close to two of the friend; Maftuna and Josephine. Maftuna is in same class that I attend but Josephine is in different strand. With those two girls, I shared most of my all secrets. And they shares theirs to me.
Be entering college in the Fall of 2014 as a Freshman at a four-year school for an undergraduate degree
My middle school’s dean smiles while handing me my certificate. I gave her my best fake smile and stood in line with the rest of my classmates who made the honor roll. I put my medal around my neck, held my certificate in my left hand, and put my right arm behind my back. I can’t believe I left my jacket in my mom’s car.
8th grade, 8th grade from the opening day to the signing of the yearbooks. This is the year of memories, goodbyes, and regrets. 8th grade and I’m still realizing that there are people in the world that would die to go to a school like this. A school where every body knows everyone’s name, respects everyone, and where violence and fighting are about as common as the Yankees missing the playoffs. When I’m done with my homework and go to bed, as the days of 8th grade wind down, summer will come and go, and I will find myself in one of those giant, scary places called high school.
The oldest students in the whole school, the kings and queens, the leaders, the students with the well developed, massive houses. This day will be in our minds until we take our last breaths, so let us make the best of it. It’s crazy, you know? That during this exact moment last year, I could have been delivering my sixth grade promotion speech. All of my fellow seventh graders would have been. Younger versions of ourselves doing almost the exact same action. It is insane that the exact same thoughts will be swimming throughout our eighth-grade heads. Same thoughts for years to come. This is why this day is important. All of these thoughts, feelings, and moods that come to mind when the eighth grade is mentioned might be a tad bit frightening, but it only means we are a stride or two closer to becoming
Good morning teachers, faculty, administrators, family, friends, and of course students. It is a great privilege to be standing here today and representing our class on our eighth grade Class Day. Can you believe it? Four years ago, most of us walked into this school as nervous as we were the first day of school. We were the tiny fifth graders, the youngest students in this middle school, not knowing where anything was and how to navigate the school. Now, those same four years later, we’re leaving this school behind to a whole new school being just as nervous as we were when we first arrived. It has been a long four years as well as a short four years. Long because of all the tests, quizzes, finals, and projects, but short because of the lifelong friendships, the lasting memories, and the truly interesting and amazing things we learned in-between. The Abington Heights Middle School is definitely a welcoming, fun, memorable, and great school that I will never forget. These four years spent with these wonderful classmates has been an extraordinary journey with many cherishable memories.
Along with my former eighth grade classmates, expectations were hesitant, uncertain, and frightened. To my surprise, I quickly grew comfortable, social, and began to support others to get through the tough transition. Being myself and discovering the good in the experience allowed me to help them navigate through the stressful change. My guidance opened their eyes to the potential opportunities for personal growth. I will pursue these personal attributes and views to help enrich the community at
Now I was staring middle school and I had begun to like North Carolina much more than before when I first moved to North Carolina. Now in the sixth grade I had went to Wiley middle school and I was nervous to start because it was a new school but in a while with the help of some of my teachers I was able to make some friend at school. Also while in the sixth grade I had joined some clubs at Wiley. The clubs I had joined were the robotics club and the Spanish club and when I was in these clubs I had made some friends in
To begin with, my life five years ago was very swell. I was fourteen years old and in the eighth grade. I hadn’t got a job yet, I didn’t have very many friends, I was very shy and antisocial and was always on the computer. I was getting excited about my Washington D.C. trip with my school but I was also very nervous about having to share a room and a bed. I was even more nervous because I knew what shorty was going to follow; which was me going over to the high school to become a freshman. I was only so nervous because it was going to be a new place, a new school and a bunch of new faces around me. Then again I was very happy in life because I had set goals but I am also very happy in life now.
Eighth grade was the year where I wanted to finally create a better work-ethic for myself. Even though I had the purest of intents, everything did not go as planned. Of course, a drastic change such as the one I wished to achieve wouldn’t happen overnight, but I had to start somewhere. In the beginning of the year, I would try my best to get a head start on projects whilst putting forth my best effort. I had already started to have a more positive outlook on the year than I ever have before. New opportunities would arise and, for once, I would be able to take them. Along with this, I started to stay true to myself and delve more into my newly formed interests. In the beginning of seventh grade, I had discovered a new passion and eighth grade was the year I finally decided to take some action. Sixth grade me would have never stepped anywhere near a stage, but eighth grade me jumped at every opportunity to help out our theatre department. Having signed up for theatre classes, I was very anxious, but that didn’t stop me from establishing my own confidence to put myself out there. I am most grateful for this change because I have made so many new friends and have shared wonderful experiences with all of them that I will cherish forever. Of course, some friends came and went, but those few who have stuck with me through everything mean the world to me. I still have friends from sixth grade, and I have friends that I made just this year, but they all deeply care for me. I wouldn’t be who I am today without them, as cliche as it sounds. Even though my friend groups may change, all of them have changed me for the
An anonymous author once said, "What you need to know about the past is that no matter what has happened, it has all worked together to bring you to this very moment. And this is the moment you can choose to make everything new. Right now." Over the course of my school years, it has been an exciting and shocking experience. These experiences have been an enjoyable journey from my elementary to middle school years. However, after several years the end of my middle school adventure is coming to a close. Soon my new journey will start as a freshman. Eight grade will surely be one of my most memorable years. It has been an absolute wonderful one hundred eighty days, and I will miss some of the aspects of eight grade—but certainly not all of it.
I am currently looking for work as an Administrative Assistant with the goal of becoming a Business Administrator or General Manager in the future. I have been in the workforce for a couple of decades now and have had the opportunity to experience many different career paths. Administrative Assistants have a broad range of duties that I think would utilize and hone my existing skills as well as offer me insight into how different departments function; this combined with my work history would make me a great future manager.
It was finally the first day of school; I was excited yet nervous. I hoped I would be able to make new friends. The first time I saw the schools name I thought it was the strangest name I’ve ever heard or read, therefore I found it hard to pronounce it in the beginning. The schools’ floors had painted black paw prints, which stood out on the white tiled floor. Once you walk through the doors the office is to the right. The office seemed a bit cramped, since it had so many rooms in such a small area. In the office I meet with a really nice, sweet secretary who helped me register into the school, giving me a small tour of the school, also helping me find
I remember this day as if it were yesterday. May 12, 2010 I woke up for school at six thirty in the morning, just like any other school day. But just like any other middle school student I was tired and did not want to go back to a place that they like to call school but I looked at it more of a prison. Every morning I had a routine which was to wake up, get ready for school and try my hardest to not miss the bus, for some reason the bus driver never liked to wait for me. The day started off great, I did not miss the bus, right before lunch I passed my math test with a B- . The last class of the day was Mrs. Orozco, who was my science teacher, she was not my favorite but I was having a good day so I had a positive mindset when entering her classroom.
I got up early that morning due to an improper sleep during the previous night. It was due to the anxiety to start fresh with my new life. I was determined to be the best in whatever it is that I do, so that I would have something to be proud of in the pages of my life. Due to the fear of reaching late during my first day, I reached one hour earlier than necessary and decided to spend some time at KTC (Kelapa gading Trade Center) which is located right beside the University. I was hoping that time would move a lot faster because I wanted to find out about what was going to happen next. But it is a common fact that if we are anxiously waiting for something, time would seem to crawl a lot slower. When it was finally the time to head back to the campus, I hoped for everything to go on smoothly, just as how I expected it. I braced myself and went to meet Sofia, who was responsible for the new students, to inquire about my classroom. After being instructed on which room to go to, I started walking towards the class, the mixture of excitement and nervousness start to fill within me. I started to feel like standard 1 all over again where I was a little kid who didn’,t know where to go. I didn’,t know anyone in the class except for Diksha who is my childhood friend.
Everything was great and I spend a great eight years. I was a good student in all of my natural science classes, especially in Biology and Math classes. I was in contact with many of my school friends and teachers in every of our school activities. I still remember playing soccer for our school team when I was thirteen-years-old. Actually, I still play soccer and I play awesome, but I don’t want to be a player. In addition, my elementary school life was great and successful eight years for me. I had a great respect and personal admiration how our school teachers, stuff workers, and directors treated us especially, our educational manager, Mr. Belay Amara, because he treated everyone like his own son or daughter. He was a great gentleman and I really admire him for what he has
