Gun violence has been a discussed problem since many years. It has caused deaths in many areas. Even though the violence have terrorized families and have caused the incrase of the homicide rates, the U.S have not really taken the proper steps to reduce gun violence and that has left the shooters unpunished and has caused many deaths. The government should take appropriate steps and measures to control the violence caused by guns and assault weapons. Some of them include background check, prohibition of assault weapons, and train public school staff members with a gun. Deaths that invovle gun violence will never decrease until the government enforces background checking of the prospective gun owner. The proposal that got
The U.S has the most homicide rates compared to most of our developed countries.For instance, gun violence that linked to mass shootings of first graders in Newton, Connecticut, of county workers in San Bernardino, California, and nightclub patrons in Orlando:The killers used assault weapons to execute their deadly act. Such weapons are sharp,quick, perfect for man slaughter if used with high capacity magazines. It is also very cheap that also leads to killers trying to buy these kinds of weapons. Assault weapons were once banned in 1994 and the killing rates decreased drastically. The law abiders and hunters were still able to protect themselves and hunt. Mass shootings still did not end but the crimes due to assault weapons were gradually reduced because of the ban of assault weapons. However gun makers found loopholes in the 1994 law , tweaked their product and sold the modified version of gun.This law needs to be more stricter in order to explicitly ban hundreds of hunting rifles, shotguns and assault weapons to surrender to the military for war purposes.
