Anne was Jewish, so at the time she was see as “wrong“ and would have been put to death upon being spotted. So, in a secret Annex where she was left with her family and others to hide, she wrote in her soon to be famous diary, “In spite of everything, I still believe people are good at heart,” right before she was transported to the death camps. Her quote shows readers even though she was going through something unimaginable, she had faith and believed that there was something better out there for her and her family. She was such a kind and polite girl to almost everyone. Anne wrote in her diary, “Thanks to father, who brought my entire postcard and movie-star collection…” This quote expresses how thankful she is to her father. Anne is mature enough to realize it is the thought rather than the actual gift that matters. It is just a small bit of her large personality that has kept her unique all throughout the Holocaust. Her outlook on life wasn’t harsh despite all of the awful surrounding her. Annelies Frank ended her diary with this inspiring statement, “In spite of everything, I still believe people are good at heart,” which told people a lot about her. There was no room for hate in her heart, and she was kind to everyone, making it easy to raise people’s spirits. She had several great qualities that she displayed through her writing. The “Diary of Anne Frank” is a real diary written by Anne Frank, during the time of the Holocaust. She describes her days hiding in a secret annex with seven other people. Some days they got along and others they didn’t, but in the end they all respected each other. In the “Diary of Anne Frank,” Anne Frank says, “ I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are really good at heart.” This message serves as a theme throughout the diary. Throughout the diary, she explains how the people she spent her days with were good people at heart.
In “ The Diary of Anne Frank,” Anne passively resists by writing in her diary because it helps her maintain hope. Anne is a strong and heroic young girl who has a heart for others and she is very compassionate towards others. Which is a great quality to have in that time period she was going through? No one could have done it better than Anne. She helped people look at the good in the situations she was never the one mention the negative things. You think how you would react to this situation. Anne Frank was my age, 15, when she was murdered by Nazis during World War II. I can’t even fathom what she must have gone through in the months before her death. Through her diary, one can understand the hardships of the Jewish people in Nazi Germany occupied countries
Anne Frank was a 13-year-old Jewish girl who was thrown into one of the worst periods in the history of the world; the Holocaust. Though she went through awful things that many people will never experience, she always kept the faith that there was still some good in everyone. She once said, “Despite everything I still believe people are truly good at heart.” Her diary, which she kept while her family was in hiding from the Nazis, shows the triumph of her spirit over the evil in the world even through the pain of adolescence. The Franks and Van Dans were hiding and they suffered many hardships, mentally and physically. Many people in Anne’s situation would have become bitter and resentful, but Anne never would despair.
A life in darkness is probably something that could describe Anne Frank’s life. As I dove deeper into the pit of fire known as the holocaust I realized many things. One, Hitler was a deranged maniac. Two, the Jewish community will probably never recover from those horrific events. Finally, I learned that despite everything that happened, Anne still saw the good in the world. "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." This was one of the last things written in Anne's diary. Even though those grievous events took place somehow Anne Frank still saw that people still had good in them even the Nazis.
Anne's optimistic personality created the hope that she had for her future. Each day she could do nothing but just hope that one day everything will turn around and be better. In The Diary Of Anne Frank play, she expressed, "It'll pass, maybe not for hundreds of years, but someday..." Deep down inside, she had the hope that all of the disgusting things that Hitler alongside his army performed, would all vanish one day. She knew for the most part that the hatred may never go away, but imagining that it might, made things at least a bit better. Anne's situation was pure negativity, with almost nothing good about it. The only good thing that may have come out of it for her were the relationships that she created with everyone in hiding with her. From the Van Daans, to Miep, she bonded amazing friendships with each person involved. Aside from that, Anne's personality stuck out more than anyone's because of the hope that she had, in such a terrible situation.
Anne said “Presents!” (page 2241). The quote shows that despite the living conditions in the annex, Anne gives presents to the families and celebrates Hanukkah to normalize the conditions they are in. Anne also stayed optimistic towards seeing the good in human kind. She writes “… I still believe in spite of everything that people are really good at heart” (Act II Scene 4 lines 1750- 1760). This quote shows despite dying in the hands of the Nazis she remained optimistic towards seeing good in human kind despite dying in the hands of the Nazis. Additionally, Anne has inspired millions of people with her optimism and positive thinking and they admire the fact that Anne focused on peace during one of history’s most arduous
Anne’s diary began on her thirteenth birthday. She had a normal life for a girl of her age, and valued the same things as any girl; she loved being with her friends, enjoyed school and already had established a passion for writing which she expressed through her diary. She first wrote “I hope I will be able to confide everything to you, as I have never been able to confide in anyone, and I hope you will be a great source of comfort and support,” it is established that Anne, although a very social young girl, felt that she could not confide in her friends. The tone with which she wrote and the trivial matters that she wrote about exemplify her young age and lack of maturity. She wrote for the sake of writing, and wrote about the happenings in her life. When the first signs of anti-Semitism started to show, signs of worry showed through her writing, but she never wrote too deeply about it.
There have been countless people throughout time who were wonderful people, and Anne Frank was one of those people. She has multiple great quotes such as, “In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.” Most people would have considered Anne to have been a brave individual. I also feel that Anne was a extremely honorable person. Another characteristic of Anne that made her so wonderful is that she was persistent.
After the war Anne’s father, the only one in their family that survived, received Anne’s diary from Miep, the caretaker of the families while they were hiding. One of the most eye catching quotes from Anne’s was” I believe people are really good at heart”, I believe Anne when she says that. I agree with Anne because a lot of people hid Jews during the Holocaust. Miep and Mr. Kraler help the Frank, Van Daan, and Miep’s dentist, Mr. Dussel during the Holocaust. They hid them, even though she knew it was against the law.
Three weeks before they were found Anne wrote in her diary: “Day and night during every waking hour, I do nothing but ask myself have you given him enough chance to be alone? Have you been spending too much time upstairs? Do you talk about serious subjects he’s not yet ready to talk about...?” (Frank 212) They were discovered after two years of hiding and were deported to concentration camps. Her father is the only one of the eight people to survive in the concentration camps. She is an inspiration to many people around the world to have gone through all that at such a young age. Through everything she went through she had kept a diary. Anne Frank had a crazy, but scary childhood, but a good family by her side every step of the way, she died at a young age, and kept a diary which was published into a book.
The name “Anne Frank” is synonymous with hope, optimism, and belief in human good, even in times of relentless evil. Although she only lived to be fifteen, Anne is known and respected throughout the world for the humanistic light her work shed on an infamous time. Born June 12th, 1929, in Germany, she spent her early years in a middle-class Jewish-German family. However, the tranquility of the Frank family and 522,000 other German-Jews’ lives would be shattered by one of the most nefarious events in history, the Holocaust. Anne’s diary has become an influential resource in understanding historical and emotional aspects of the Holocaust.
The Diary of Anne Frank portrayed perseverance in an individual's characteristics in times of despair. It displays that the way you live your life depends on one's perspective and mentality towards the world. Written by Anne Frank herself, this diary conveyed the perspective of a distraught teen living during the Holocaust. Anne writes about her feelings of isolation and loneliness, each diary entry maturing as time passes. Despite her situation that she was put i...
Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl was a very distressing yet amazingly written book. Who would have thought that such a little person could have such a huge effect on the world? Anne?s father lived for many years after the war and made sure that Anne?s diary was published. Her diary was published in 1947 and was then made into a film. This diary helps people remember what Jews had to go through and hopefully reminds them of how lucky they are. By remembering, it is hoped that something like this will never happen again. This book was intriguing while incorporating many life lessons. Discrimination, unfair judgment, and racism are only a few of the many lessons that this book has to offer. With that, after reading this book, we have learned to not take the things we have for granted because in a matter of seconds, days, months, or even years, it could all be gone. As Anne said in her diary, ?In spite of everything, I still believe, people are truly good at heart?.
