When building a computer, what are some of the challenges you might face in gathering needed information, assembling the computer, and supporting the system after assembly?
It might be a challenge to find informations about special types of hardware that I want to use and to figure out if they are able to do what I want them to do. So if I would build my own computer, I will build a gaming computer. For this I have to get a really good CPU and much RAM to run the game without any bugs. I will also need a nice video card to have an incredible picture on my monitor. It also have to be able to have two or three monitors because one is definitely not enough. For installing games I also need a CD slot. Maybe I would watch a movie so it should be

I think a con that have got both things is the price. You are not everytime sure how good the components are or if they will work perfectly together.
A pro of purchasing a computer is that you don't have to do anything for it but that it also a little bit boring why I would take the risk and build a computer on my own. So this is another pro for building a computer.
A con of buying a computer is that there are the components that you have to take. That's why I like it to build my own computer because I can chose every single component on my own. That's also a con because I don't know if the computer will work or not. Another con is that I haven't got an insurance in case of something happened. A con of buying a computer is that the insurance won't pay even if you just opened the case.
I think to biggest pro of building a computer is the fun you can have while you build it and after it. It also will be great if I can say: That's my gaming computer, I build it on my own and I can play everything I want.
My sources were only my own knowledge and an internet source:
decision that is very important if you decide to buy a computer for work or home
So you’re thinking about building a gaming computer from scratch? Well I can explain a few things that will help you on your journey. Gaming desktops/rigs take a lot of energy, so don’t go crazy when you see next month’s electricity bill. Assuming you have a good amount of money, then I will be telling you how much the items are, and what sizes you should get. I will list these items off in order from what you should be looking up first. First you will need to buy a case, this is one of the cheapest items on your list. Most cases are the same, they just vary from size, airflow, noise, number of drive bays, front ports, cable management, and look. Depending on which one you get it could cost you in the range of $75-$125. Once you have the case, we can proceed to the important goodies. Second you will be in need a Processor (CPU), this is the brain of your rig. Since this will be a gaming computer, you will need a very expensive CPU. Third item will be a motherboard, this will connect all the other components of your computer together. It’s the base for everything such as: USB ports, the number of expansion cards you can put in (such as video, sound, and Wi-Fi).You can find one a good gaming pc fit one for about $200. Fourth will be your Random Access Memory, or RAM for short. This is like your computer's short-term memory. It stores data your computer needs quick access to help your programs run faster, and help you run more programs at one time. Remember this is a gaming laptop, so its high performance, which means you will need a lot of RAM. I repeat a lot of RAM! Most high capacity RAM cards have 4 gigabytes worth of space, and are sold in sets of two for about $80. Fifth will be your Graphics Card (GPU), which is especially ma...
Before you start you will need to check if u need all of your pieces together and parts. Then you need to check if you have the right size case for your mother board. The find a bare floor to work on its the best place. Then download latest drivers for your pc so you cannot
Building a gaming computer may be an intimidating endeavour, but in all actuality with a little hard work anyone can be a whiz at putting together a gaming computer. Why build a custom gaming PC? Well it’ll save money, and give the builder a great experience. It’s always fun to learn how different things work. The price of a top of the line retail gaming computer runs from two thousand on up to five thousand dollars and beyond, a monitor alone could cost one thousand dollars. The two types of gaming PC builds are , the hardcore gamer build which will cost a little extra, and the casual gamer build which isn’t as expensive; moreover, the steps in building a gaming PC are: creating a budget, researching what the builder/user wants the PC to be used for, and purchasing the equipment.
Cons: Solid 3-D performance, though not on par with the Pentium III. Fewer manufacturers to choose from.
The cost of an item is predominantly the reason why someone would get the item. No one would want to
Building a computer can be a useful skill in today's world. It allows you to
Ever since I built my first computer early in 2012, I have had an avid interest in computing and technology. From hardware to software, I enjoy it all. I love everything about building computers, and I mean everything. From making the list of parts, to the Lego-like building process, to the final POST of the motherboard, I enjoy...
This makes the notebook more convenient to use than a desktop computer. Because of the size, the components, which are built inside a notebook, are relatively small as well. Components of a computer consist of: microprocessor, memory, disk drivers, motherboard, sound card, input/output port, and power supply. Moreover, notebooks seem lighter than desktop computers. This also makes a very difference for the users.
Computers are very complex and have many different uses. This makes for a very complex system of parts that work together to do what the user wants from the computer. The purpose of this paper is to explain a few main components of the computer. The components covered are going to be system units, Motherboards, Central Processing Units, and Memory. Many people are not familiar with these terms and their meaning. These components are commonly mistaken for one and other.
Prior to the revolution in technology that was microprocessors, making a computer was a large task for any manufacturer. Computers used to be built solely on discrete, or individual, transistors soldered together. Microprocessors act as the brain of a computer, doing all mathematics. Depending on how powerful the machine was intended to be, this could take weeks or even months to produce with individual components. This laborious task put the cost of a computer beyond the reach of any regular person. Computers before lithographic technology were massive and were mostly used in lab scenarios (Brain 1).
A computer is a device which is used for several applications; business, gaming, or school. It’s important for people to know how computers work because in this day and age, operating a computer is an everyday task. This complex electrical device utilizes several parts inside of it to keep itself cool, conduct the proper tasks, and maintain stability. These devices can be found several places whether it be on the job, in one’s room, or on a school campus. Computers are essential for everyday use in order to complete what is required. What each component is and its function will be described.
We often dream of owning the best computers in the world. However, various options from the wide range of manufacturers tend to make it difficult to do a selection. Therefore, picking a reliable model that is stupendous is inevitable; a computer that even after four years, it will still be outstanding. Knowing the chances of its success is fundamental. This means that a good machine should break less often. Additionally, a company that has a great technical support, which helps a computer owner to receive timely and reliable customer support services. What is ignored are the outliers. There are companies that have had awful record of accomplishment of crappy and extremely expensive computers. One must ensure they purchase from established and genuine dealers.
In 1947 Howard Aiken, an engineer, predicted six computers would satisfy the computing needs of the U.S. By the year 1955, 244 computer systems were in use and by 1984 U.S. businesses and individuals purchased over two million personal computers. By 1994, shipments of over 47 million personal computers were made worldwide. The use of personal computers has increased rapidly over the past half-century and therefore the need for new hardware and software will keep the need for computer engineers to continue producing new products. The first position for a person becoming a computer Engineer is a Junior Computer Engineer.
I cannot forget how excited I was when I first bought my own computer. Like a mother who spends time sewing and knitting for her newborn baby, I spent hours and hours to sparkle my computer. I waited a long time to buy a brand new computer. I had to work more hours and saved money to buy a computer. I did not want to buy a cheap computer, but I wanted to buy a professional one. Was I professional on computer? No! I was not. I did not even know how to type, but I was sure that my expensive com puter could make me a computer expert. 17 inches monitor, color printer, two speakers and well-designed fancy keyboard made me just happy by looking at them on my desk.
