I choose this topic because I always had the passion to becoming an airline pilot. This project helps me dig more information about my dream profession. Now, I have developed my knowledge about the aviation world. Aviation has become the most flourishing and huge industry for a long time now. Plus, the professions in this area are one of the most breathtaking jobs in the world. There are different types of pilots. Airline pilots are one of them. An airline pilot is an aviator who flies big aircrafts with passengers and their cargos inside. There are certain levels to become an airline pilot. An airline pilot must earn a bachelor’s degree, numbers of licenses and ratings, and build up at least the minimum flight time experience required by an …show more content…
Pilots usually choose a degree that can relate to their desired profession: for example a degree major in Aeronautical science or Aviation operation. However, this is not required. A student pilot has the freedom to major in whatever subject he/she wishes, the only thing that matters is that if he/she has a bachelor’s degree in any field. Pursuing an undergraduate degree in a different subject benefits a student because if the student decides that flying is not for him/her or has difficulties in the career, the student will have the opportunity to move into an alternate career path. The first license offered is the Private Pilot’s licenses. Getting this primary course is permitted to anyone who is interested in learning how to fly. The student will learn the basics of flight maneuvers, as well as navigation and aeronautical decision making. The license is valid for both day and night flying. However, any pilot with this license may not carry a passenger to pay or other commercial purposes. To furtherly use the flying knowledge for different commercial purposes, a student pilot must earn an instrument rating certificate. Throughout this course, the student pilot will learn the skills necessary to fly planes under the instrument flight rules. This entails learning to fly aircrafts individually, and the student will acquire the necessary skills to fly the plane up in the clouds as well as under air traffic control guidance. The last license that a pilot could get is the Commercial pilot’s license. The skills and certification acquired during this course are essential for any pilot who aspires to work in the aviation industry. Tom Wolfe explains that a career in flying was like climbing one of those ancient Babylonian pyramids made up of a dizzy progression of steps and ledges, a ziggurat, a pyramid extraordinary high and steep; and the idea was to prove at every foot of the way up that pyramid that you were one of the elected and anointed ones who had the right stuff and could move hig...
Handling and operating an airplane comes with great risk, but these risks that are present are handled with very different attitudes and dealt with in different ways depending on the environment the pilots are in.

There are many pioneers who carved the way for the modern aviation industry that we see today. This essay is about the aviation pioneer named Howard Hughes. Howard was raised in a wealthy household. As a young man, he was fascinated with aviation. Instead of sitting in a classroom, he preferred tinkering away on mechanical objects. He was a playboy billionaire who spent a majority of his wealth innovating within the aviation industry and film making. His contributions to aviation seemed boundless. He produced films, set flying records, and was an innovator to some of the world’s first aircraft. He was truly one of the greatest aviators in world history.
On February 12, 2009, a Colgan Airlines flight operating as Continental Connection Flight 3407 crashed two miles from the runway in Buffalo, New York, killing all fifty people aboard.. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigation that followed stunned the American public and identified the need to closely examine the regulations governing pilot training and pilot rest requirements, with a strong focus on regional airlines (Berard, 2010, 2). Currently, the United States government has passed HR 5900, which was titled the Airline Safety and Federal Aviation Administration Extension Act of 2010 and is now called Public Law 111-216 (Public Law 111-126, 2010, 3). The bill targets five focal points that will force the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to run an even safer operation. These focal points include creating a pilot record database, implementation of NTSB flight crewmember training recommendations, FAA rule making on training programs, pilot fatigue, and flight crewmember screening and qualifications (Berard, 2010, 4).
A college education gives a person the opportunity to be successful in life, either financially or morally dependent on the goals that they set for their life. They will choose a college that offers programs for the major of their choice, where they will specialize and receive a degree. The decision to pursue a higher education will give the opportunity to earn a better income than someone who does not have a degree. College is more of a life preparation course that will help make sure a successful career. If a person pursues a career in engineering, physics or mathematics their curriculum would include more liberal art preparation courses, in order for them to earn their degree, so someone pursuing a degree in these types of careers should attend college for job preparation.

Flight fee is one of the biggest nightmares of the passenger. In this regard, such an initiative is a win-win situation for the Asiana airlines. The establishment of extensive cabin retrofits is also a great improvement to the customer service delivery. The airline also boosts customer experience in a bid to achieve the airline’s sustainability through the provision of lie-flat seats. The seats boost comfort for the passengers aboard; hence, reduction of exhaustion. According to Asian Development Bank (2009), the airline provides the passengers with a sizeable monitor, especially for the business class passengers. Pilots are professionals at their jobs. When people step into a plane they should feel safe and comfortable. When flying people are putting their life into the pilot's hands. But don’t worry not everyone can just fly a plane. Pilots need to take many classes and fly for many hours with an instructor before they can get the lowest and most basic pilot license. Pilots also need to log so many hours before they can go through the next stage of lessons to get a high ranked licsons. Just to get a private pilots license pilots need to log over 250 hours. Pilots fly many different types of planes to log their hours before they can fly commercial airliners. When they first step foot into a passenger plane they do not take the controls right away. They must go through the stages of being a co-pilots first and build up their experience. Being a co-pilot builds up experience but also gets the pilots comfortable with their surroundings. Pilots must log over 2,000 hours of being a co-pilot and then go through more schooling and training. When you walk into a plane usually the pilot stands by the door and greets his passengers When ...
In the 1990s, Emirates airlines began to expand its route network to various international destinations including Paris, Rome, Zürich, and Jakarta. With the advancement in aeronautical engineering, long haul flights became more frequent which lead to the airline's route expansion and earned it the name, “finest in the sky”. By 1994, the airline had 4000 employees and netted a profit of about 24 million dollars (The Emirates Story).

Let's kick this off! For me, this topic hits home and in my pocket. My uncle, retired Coast Guard Captain Brian Murray, fly's for Emirates Airlines out of Dubai. Growing up with aviation in our family, I've seen and heard the best stories of flight, but it seems the best are yet to come. Every new dawn breeds a new idea of some component of flight that will lead to the best experiences offered in the passenger aircraft world.
