How Prepared Should You Be? (Prep Work) There are some parts of the United States where students are being encouraged to start thinking about how to get into college when they are in middle school, or even in elementary school. Some people in the nation think that it’s essential to start early so that they are more prepared to go to college. Other people in the United States argue by saying that starting too soon might burn them out by the time they actually reach the college level. There are many different ways that parents and students may look at these arguments. Some people might believe that they should be somewhat prepared for going to college, but not at such extreme levels in which others believe. Those who start thinking about college when they’re in elementary or in their beginning levels of middle school are just going to get burned out in the end. Every student out there has their various ways of learning. If there is somebody who absolutely does not want to go to college after high school, they are going to have a really hard time listening to college preparation stuff. It isn’t a bad thing to bring up college to young students, because it is very apparent that they need to know about it. However, when you have a class of fifth graders sitting there who don’t even know how to act mature in some situations, how are they supposed to understand college and the concept of it? There are some people that go to Worland High School who don’t even understand the concept of college, not because they didn’t learn early enough, but because it is a very difficult topic to think about.
