How Is Beowulf An Epic Hero

Beowulf is a epic hero in a lot of ways. He is “stronger” than life, and he does not fear death. He was able to fight the monster and kill him with his bare hands. Beowulf was also able to hold his breath for a long period of time to kill Grendel’s mother. Beowulf looked like a normal person, but with muscle and super strength.

Beowulf was a courageous person and he was loyal. When he was fighting the monsters he was loyal to the people and kept fighting until the monsters were dead. He made sure the people were safe and they didn’t have to worry about the monsters coming to kill anyone anymore.

Beowulf was a noble character because the past of his family. Everybody liked him because he had that “super” strength and could fight

for them to keep them safe, like when he fought Grendel, and Grendel’s mother and the dragon.
The good deeds he performed would be he killed all the monsters. So now the people don’t have to worry about being scared they’re going to die anymore.
Whenever he goes into battle it’s nothing like anyone has ever seen. He does the impossible. He fought Grendel with his bare hands, and won. He sank down to the bottom of the lake and held his breath for a long time to kill Grendel’s mother, and even in his old age he fought and killed the dragon
By giving Wiglaf the necklace around his neck it showed that he was the new King, and that was how he would live on his family’s name.
Beowulf was an archetype because he was always willing to face death to save a community.
