Everyone makes or has made a new year's resolution in there life before. And not all have kept them but to those who have GOOD JOB! Because it's not easy to keep them well not for everyone that is. For example a student at a school might want to help their mother or father around the house more. Or maybe someone might want to help their friends and family more which is also a great resolution. But some people might just need that little push of a good friend or family member to get them to keep their resolution. There are a lot of improvements people would love to change whether it be personally or physically. For me on the other hand it's really simple it's to be more responsible. Because i'm not the best at making the choice to do homework or get on my phone. But when i do make the choice to do my homework i don't even finish it or do it right. For example i have a essay due in english class instead of doing it early and getting it done i wait for the last minute to do it and neither do really good or bomb it badly. And i wanna change that by doing my homework early and getting it done right. And as a result of me doing my work right and on time i'll get better grades and not struggle last minute to do my papers. …show more content…
I want to be able to help my mom around the house so she won't have to come out of work. Just to find the house a mess and find me in my room on my phone. And if i did clean the house before she came home she would be able to relax and not have to worry of the house being a mess. Id also love to help my friends. By maybe responsible. Or maybe help them in class with there school work. Or be more class ready with a pencil and paper. Also help them push themselves to push to do the best the can in any subject no matter how hard the question may be. For example in PE when the class has to run the mile i want to be there to push anyone who needs help to get a good time on it and show them its possible to get a 7 min
I used to have a very simple issue but never noticed until a teacher pointed it out. I was always focused in handing in my assignments on time and believed by doing so I was definitely going to be successful and be getting a good mark on it but most of the time I was disappointed in not getting the mark I wanted and never understood why I got the mark I did. One day I asked my teacher and she told me that I’m always in a hurry to hand in my assignments on time that I forget to take a second look or add more details and make silly mistakes that affect the
and let them know that I care and I want them to succeed at school. I know that they can do it
When you think about school one of the first things that pops into people’s mind is homework. Basically if you have asked your parents or your grandparents they would say that they remember the homework load. Now we all know that homework can be beneficial but also can be very unhealthy with all of the stress that it causes. Over the years the homework load has increased because of the fact that schools think that they need to try to keep up with other countries in academics. And will doing all of this homework now be all for nothing later? The homework load has increased these past couple of years and it is causing a lot of stress on kids and overall is not helping their academics in the long run.
Although the living conditions of children are getting lot better than when we were kids, the children study more time than we did. The pupils have to get up at earlier than 7 o 'clock to make sure they won’t be late for school. Not only have that, these pupils still had to participate in various after school program, and a lot of variety of training during the weekends. The most pressure is homework. As a summer school teacher, I always can hear kids say that the teacher gave them too much work, had to spend two hours a day to compete the homework, and have no time to play. Is it too much pressure for the kids? That is the question for most of the parents. What should the parents as should do to let these children relax and do not have that much pressure? The author of Help Children Form Good Study Habit, Erika A.Patall points out those parents should not help children do their homework because they need their own practice. Not only that, the author of The
I had the opportunity to look over the teacher’s grade book today, and noticed something disturbing to me: the homework section in the grade book were mostly blank spaces with marks down only a few names. For over the passed months, most of the students have not turned in their homework. There are a few that turn in their homework consistently and the rest have done nothing. I talked to my master teacher about this issue and she said that there was nothing she could do to encourage them to do their homework. She had confronted many students on their homework issue and received stories of family and personal problems that have prevent them from ever touching their homework. Such stories include not having anyone to help or the lack of time due to other family responsibilities.

I am a really chill type of person, I like to have fun and travel the world. There is a lot I want to accomplish in life. I want to become a radiologist, it’s going to take a long time to become one, but I am going to do whatever it takes. I also want to open a homeless shelter once I get older and start making that good cash money. I feel bad for those who don’t have a place to stay.

Prioritizing time is critical due to ways of learning and levels of energy. When studying, get in the habit of beginning with the most difficult subject or task. You will be fresh, and have more energy to take them on when you are at your best. For more difficult courses of study, try to be flexible: for example, build in reaction time when you can get feedback on assignments before they are due (“Time Management” n.d.).
When it comes to school, I have always been an “A” only student. I am slightly obsessed with my grades, and I have never had a “B” in my life. Originally, this pressure was put on by my parents, but now I am self-driven and I do not allow myself to have anything lower than an “A-”. Achieving no lower than an “A-” consists of lots of hard work and time management. Unlike many other students, I have always been one to complete my homework as soon as possible. Other students procrastinate and either don’t do their homework until late at night, or even the day
Procrastination is hard for me, mainly because I have a bad habit of waiting to do an assignment closer
When it comes to our personal and professional lives, Managing your time efficiently should be a mastered ability. As a student, this could have a huge effect on performance and grades. Seeing that Time Management is imperative when it comes to college and success, recognizing bad habits, should be one of the first obstructions immediately eliminated from your daily schedule. Create new habits if you tend to procrastinate and start planning ahead to manage your most important priorities. According to David Allen (2001),"Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity" (p.59) "changes in the way you clarify and organize all things that command your attention-could represent a significant shift in how you approach some key aspects of your day to day work." Setting up deadlines and completing your assignments a few days before the due date will eliminate the procrastination stage. Creating a list with the most important priorities first, will help sort out your assignments and eliminate stress and feeling overwhelmed.
Homework offers multiple benefits for real life. One benefit of homework is that it helps the student develop essential skills. While homework may seem like a tedious task, it can help a student comprehend the material. Homework is necessary for more than just a grade; it is an assignment that teaches you valuable life skills. According to “Do students have too much homework?”, homework should lead students to be better at taking what they know and applying it to a certain task. Students tend to portray homework as something that they have to get done without knowing the value that lies behind it. Homework enables the student to recall a certain problem and apply it to another distinctive situation. According to “Do students have too much homework?”, applying knowledge is the most important. Learning is definitely important but what students do with the facts that they learned is essential as well. Applying knowledge allows the students to take a simple fact and relate it to a grander scheme of things. Relating what they know will enhance their creativity and let them see behind the lines of how everything connects.
How many of you as children thought homework was a waste of time? How about now as adults with your own children?
Students spend hours doing it, teachers spend hours checking it. Homework is sometimes a burden to teachers and students but still it is necessary. Some people doubt homework's effectiveness, but teachers and researchers agree homework is essential. Homework helps students get better grades in school.
