How did it all begin? Dogs were the first animals that have been domesticated by humans. Dogs have been with Humans from the beginning. Dogs have arrived here since the ice age. They have been evolving with humans for almost 32,000 years. Wow, that is a long time? Dogs have helped society throughout the world. Most people cannot see, so dogs, guide them. Many dogs have helped by being in the war. Some dogs have helped society as being a guard dog, or they help society by helping the police catch criminals. In ancient times, when society did not have napkins, society used to wipe their hands on the dogs. People would also use dogs as foot warmers in winter. That was before the covers were invented. Dogs have even worked with humans. Can you …show more content…
Generally, Humans hated dogs in venerable times. Humans started liking and treating pets more like dogs were apart from the human's family. Some humans even buy dogs (pet) clothes. They even feed them. Most people, buy big bags of dog food, because they love their pets. Dogs gobble straps up when their masters feed them. Some humans also have dogs to sleep in the bed with them. Dogs even ride in trucks and cars with humans. Some humans kiss their dogs. Most humans also kiss their dogs in the mouth. Sometimes humans hug their dogs, and give them dog treats. For example, in the article, "How the dog became part of the family" Scout was getting annoying, but Ruby picked scout up and gave him a kiss on his nose. Over the years, humans have spoiled their pets. They can spoil their dogs by hugging them, kissing them, buying them toys, feeding them, bathing them, and buying them dog clothes. Humans spend at least 21,000 dollars a year on their dogs. On holidays, humans spend almost more than 500 dollars. That is because they want their pets satisfied. A long time ago, dogs never slept in the bed with humans or ate food with humans. In ancient times, society did not have doctors. Many of the dogs had diseases from being in the war, so humans mainly did not want dogs around them. They just wanted them as slaves. Most of the dogs died from the diseases. Most of the dogs back then, had fleas. That is why most humans did not want dogs as their pets. Half of the time, humans did not feed dogs. Many humans did not spoil dogs. Humans thought the dog was there to take the care of humans. As time grew, doctors became more developed. Then we had more doctors around. Now we have veterinarians, who can take the care of animals. They can see if dogs have fleas, if they do then they can cure the fleas. Before we had veterinarians, dogs would become sick and die. I am so happy that we have veterinarians who can take the care of
Have you ever wondered how much it costs to have and maintain a pet? Burkhard Bilger, the author of “The Last Meow”, explains how Americans spend a lot of money on their pets and that people's “love affair” with their pets has gotten out of control. An observation I have made is that in many movies dogs are treated very well. When I was younger, I watched a movie called Bratz and one character would always have her dog inside a dog purse and they would even get manicures and pedicures together. The dog always had shiny clothes on and it was always very clean. Therefore, I agree with Bilger's argument that Americans “love affair” with their pets has gotten out of control.
A dog is just that, a dog, until someone comes along and makes it into a monster. A dog may be bred to do something, and can be trained to do an entirely different thing. For example, pit bulls have been bred to be nanny dogs. They are supposed to protect babies and ultimately care for them like they would their own pups. Some people have taken this instinct and turned it into something horrid.
The fifteen dogs were all given human intelligence. The first three were not righteous enough to leave the clinic because of the human intelligence. The other eleven lived either a miserable life or an unhappy death. That leaves one left, Prince. Human intelligence should not be given to dogs or any animal. This is because the hardships of life are far to hard for animals
Humans and dogs have been pals for what seems like forever. However, all relationships have to start somewhere, and this relationship is no different. From the beginnings of domestication to where we are today, how we have adapted dogs to our needs and how dogs have adapted us to their needs is a story that sounds fictional. This couldn’t be further from the truth. We call them Man’s Best Friend for a reason--we artificially created them to become our best friends, and they created the mannerisms we use today.
Dogs are being taken for granted, and people need to realize the importance of why they have dogs as pets. Dogs are more than lazy animals, dumb creatures, or ways of showing off to others. Dogs don’t help with social status, rather they help with companionship, loyalty, trust, and a bodyguard. In my opinion, dogs don’t help determine how poor or wealthy a family is. Maybe people spend lots or little money on a dog, but that just depends on what type of people they are, not what type the dog is. Nothing more, nothing less.
Many people have lost their pets and close family members because there is no way to get the help or medical attention that the animal so desperately needed. Every day in the United States, veterinarians are working hard to save animal’s lives. People will always continue to want and to breed pets. Therefore, to help and cure all these pets, a steady stream of veterinarians will be needed for many years to come. Over the years, the requirements and processes to becoming a veterinarian have changed. To become a successful veterinarian one must complete all necessary education and on the job training, be friendly and love animals, and have a burning passion to help both the pet and the pet owner.

Dogs are common throughout the world, either as a domestic pet, a protector on a farm, or an assistant for hunting amongst others. Regardless of the reason for having a dog, most people have either owned one for themselves or have known somebody who has owned one at some point in their life. Despite the relative normality of having a dog in your life in one way or another, the reasons for dogs coming into existence are not common knowledge among most people. Throughout a great portion of mankind’s history, dogs have been an essential part of life. The truth is, dogs were actually created in part by man.
Have dogs always been cute and cuddly? Actually, they have not always been how they are today. All dogs used to be big bad wolves. Scientist has found that all dogs have descended from the grey wolf. They converted into dogs because the wolves came closer and closer to humans. It took a very long time for the wolves to alter to cute cuddly dogs. After the wolves had pups, the pups grew up around humans and grew closer and less ferocious to humans, so the pups were more comfortable with people and that we could hunt with them and use them as pets later. Therefore, the relationship between dogs and humans has changed tremendously over time.
The history of being a veterinarian has been around since human beings have interacted with animals. For a long time, ever since man tamed animals, there is a need to monitor their health. Just as human, they suffer the same diseases: a cold, sore throat, stomach ulcer, and urolithiasis. Veterinary Medicin...
There is an issue with what is acceptable in our society, I would not characterize this issue as significant, but Farhad Manjoo stresses that this dilemma facing our society needs to be addressed firmly and with gumption in his essay “No I Do Not Want to Pet Your Dog”. Manjoo explains in detail the reasoning behind his sheer dislike of dogs, from the danger presented by a dog’s presence, to the uncleanliness of dogs as well as simply just not wanting to be around them. Manjoo also recognizes that he deviates from the norm with his outlook and that most people would not object to being approached by a dog, his point being the owner should be a more considerate human being. Today in our society we accept all dog owners regardless of their inconsiderate
Dogs are very common in the world we know today. Many households have one or more. Dogs are trained to be pets. Not only trained to be pets, dogs are also trained for work. Dogs are getting used more and more in our work environment. House dogs can also be considered a working dog depending on why the dog is there. There are many jobs for dogs. Dogs make a big impact on our working and social lives.
Dogs are wonderful creatures. They are loyal, dependable companions if given the opportunity. In recent years I have come to the opinion that we could learn something from these animals. We should also take a look at the manner in which they are being treated. Abandonment, irresponsible breeding, and neglect are only some of the ways that humans are failing the canine species.
In the English language, dog idioms have existed for centuries in the vocabulary, and their meanings and connotations have transformed over time. Traditional idioms like “Sick as a Dog” and “Dog’s Life” were recorded and used from the mid 1600’s-1700’s and existed as a negative connotation, even though dogs can be considered as a man’s best friend in the modern-day. For centuries, dogs were mainly wild animals that roamed human settlements eating scarps, fighting with each other, and spreading diseases. Phrases like “Dog Eat Dog,” got its term during the medieval Europe when dogs were seen as the lowly regarded animal and used as a labor. However, the idiomatic use of the word Dog for a good companion gained its identity and developed during
Nowadays, people are busy in their daily life and having a lot of stress from their working area. Most of them would like to have a pet to accompany them in their daily life and also can release the stress that they received. For example, having a dog is a good choice for most people who want to have a pet. Dog not only a very good companions and also having deep emotional tie between people. Dogs will protect the people with literally lay down their lives.
