How Does Ellen Change

Ellen changed a lot, grew up, and had a new personality. She faced her fears, learned to stand up for herself, and got out of her comfort zone. She experenced many things on her journey. Some things she experenced were bad and some were good. Ellen had an amazing journey and learned many thing.

Ellen changed a lot, throughout the whole book. In the begining, of the book Ellen was shy and timid, but near the end of the book Ellen grew up to have confidence. On page 106, it says, “I can do it again when there is naught else to be done.” This proves that Ellen has confidence and belived in herself. As you can see Ellen has changed and learned to have confidence.

Ellen also grew up, in the book. In the begining of the story Ellen she was shy

and didn’t want to leave her comfort zone, but in the end she learned to stand up for herself and was excited to go out of her comfort zone. On page 164, Dicey says, “Are you here again?” and Ellen replies “Yes, I’m here again!” she also says, “This pump is near my house, and I intend to use it, no matter what you say.” and Dicey says, “You’re lucky I’m not ready for a fight.” This proves that Ellen learned how to stand up for herself, and got out of her shy, timid, comfort zone. All of these reasons show why Ellen grew up, got out of her comfort zone, and learned to stand up for herself.

Ellen also had a new personality, by the end of the book. In the begining she was scared of many things. On page 131, it says, “Ellen was afraid of pigs.” and on page 132, it says, ”Quickly she snatched her cap from her pocket and swished it across his eyes, back and forth across his eyes, back and forth across his eyes. The pig tossed his head and snorted in rage. It was a terrifing sound! But, when Ellen saw the bread fall from the pig’s mouth she scoped it up quickly and darted out of his way. This proves that Ellen was brave enough to face her fear of pigs to get the bread.
