Men and women were created equal and should be treated equal. Through the different time periods from the Renaissance until now men and women were treated differently. People thought that they were superior than others, some people thought that they were equal compared to others and some people thought that the role of people getting treated badly should have been switched. Men and women were treated differently over time. The Renaissance was a period from the fourteenth century until the seventh century. It stared in Italy and as time went on it spread throughout Europe. During the Renaissance people's influence was based on literature, philosophy, art, music, science, politics and religion. Men thought that women should stay at home taking care of the kids while they did all of the hard word and fought in wars. Shakespeare defines that men should be politicians, soldiers, to be the people that talk and that they should make the decisions. Men were highly talked about and were center of attention. For example if there was a decision about government or who should become the leader of their nation the man who decided and the women had no say about it. Women during the Renaissance were treated badly. The jobs that the women did was to house chores like taking care of the kids, making the food, to make the house clean and to have kids. They should not argue and should not be clever. Women were valued for their beauty and thats how they would gain their respect from men.
