Would you kill yourself because someone you loved died? Romeo and Juliet would. The Capulets and Montagues live in Verona, Italy. They have had a feud as long as they can remember. Romeo was desperately trying to get over Rosaline; therefore, he went to a party. At the party Romeo met Juliet. It was love at first sight. How can two people deeply in love be together if they’re families hate each other? Romeo and Juliet are to blame because they overreact, are impulsive, and are blinded by their own love.

First, Romeo and Juliet overreact throughout the whole book. They overreact when they got married in a day. Even if they were in love they didn’t need to marry so fast. The only person that knew about their marriage was Friar Lawrence, and he was their priest. When, Romeo and Juliet got married, they didn’t even know eachother. Also, Romeo and Juliet kill themselves because they thought they other one was dead. Both of them could have had such a happy and long life without Romeo or Juliet. They both think that they can’t be with anyone else in the world. They should both take a step back and realize their situation is not worth killing themselves over. They could be perfectly happy with another person. “And he will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night and pay no worship to garish sun.” (III, ii, 25-27) This quote shows that Juliet is very obsessed with Romeo. She believes that Romeo is a perfect person.
