Haydn is an Australian composer who changed how classical style music in the 18th century, instituting the forms and styles for the string quartet and the symphony. His father builds/repairs wooden wheels, and his mother was a cook for the lords of the village before marriage. Haydn was only six years old when he left home to go with his cousin who was a choirmaster in the neighboring city of Hainburg, he also sang in the church choir, and learned to play numerous types of instruments, and gather good basic knowledge of music. When Haydn was 8 when his life drastically changed. St. Stephen’s Cathedral’s musical director in Vienna had noticed Haydn’s talent and invited him to be a chorister at the most important church in the capital of Austria, and his parents accepted the offer; thus Haydn moved to Vienna in 1740. He acquired a lot of practical knowledge of music by continuous performances for nine years, but in a mishap, he had to work really hard to accomplish his duty as a chorister, and as his voice changed, he was let go from …show more content…
