Coco Chanel showed the world that women were someone; that they were not only in the world to wear what men the great fashion designers designed, but also they were capable of creating. With her collections, Coco radically changed the appearance of women and laid the foundations of modern fashion, while changing the mentality of women: defending jacket suits and their masculine and functional trousers and knitted sweaters, also defended a more comfortable way of dressing and, in short, a conception of the freest woman.

Born in 1883 in a humble village in France, little Gabrielle lost her mother very soon.
