Which empire has had more of an impact, Ancient Greece or the Roman Empire? One could argue that the Roman Empire is more impactful than Ancient Greece because the Roman Empire only improved upon the ideas of Ancient Greece. If Ancient Greece had not created the original ideas than the Roman Empire would be a forgotten empire in world history. The Ancient Greeks were the first to invent democracy which is a system of government in which people vote and elect legislative bodies to create laws and make decisions on the behalf of people. Without this creation of democracy the world would look rather differently today, and the government of the United States might look drastically different from what it does now. However, what exact influence did the Ancient Athens democracy have on the United States’ democracy? Beau Harmon, wrote in an article “Athenian democracy of Ancient Greece was divided into the Ekklesia, which was similar to the legislative, or lawmaking branch, the Boule, which resembled the executive, or law-enforcing branch, and the Dikasteria, a rough equivalent of the judicial branch”. Which pretty much exercises the fact of they made the head of the government.
According the Webster’s Dictionary the definition of geometry is, “a branch of mathematics that deals with the measurement, properties, and relationships of points, lines, angles, surfaces, and solids” (Webster).
