Abraham Lincoln was a trustful, respectful guy who did anything to help people who came to him. Lincoln had been a very popular and famous leader during his presidency. He gave powerful speeches like the Gettysburg Address and was being followed by many people. Abe Lincoln was not only famous for being the 16th president of the United States, or for being on the $5 bill he was also famous for signing the Emancipation Proclamation, which ended slavery in the United States.
Abe Lincoln was born February 12, 1809 in Hodgenville, Kentucky U.S. as the second child in his family. About two years after Abraham was born his family moved to a farm on Knob Creek. It was difficult for him on a school day because he had to walk about two miles to get there and back. Five years later, Lincoln's dad sold their land and they eventually moved to a place in Indiana. Whenever Lincoln had time he used to go to James Gentry’s store telling stories and mimicking others, but as he grew tall and strong he was often hired for jobs to help his neighbors. Later on Abe moved to Illinois on the Sangamon River and had to chop nearby trees to create a humongous fence around his dad’s land. As time went by, the first summer in Illinois an attack of fever and ague pushed all of the Lincolns away, except for Abe. He refused to move because he had promised to his two friends that he would help stay and bring the cargo of produce downriver to New Orleans. Abraham Lincoln became more mature and responsible during the years that he was living with his family, that he wanted to be more independent and make his own decisions. Lincoln has faced many problems throughout his life and he has persevered to overcome them. During his presidency, Lincoln met a guy named COL. John C Fremont who had made a martial law that confiscated the property of all people who fought against the government and who was helping to free the slaves. Since he was the president at that time he canceled the martial law and immediately removed Fremont from command. Lincoln was also faced by the South withdrawing the Union over the issue of slavery. Withdrawing the Union over the issue of slavery was a bad decision because the North will have more power and they would’ve eventually have slaves there in the South. What Lincoln did to prevent the South from doing that was sending people into stopping them so they won’t make a bad decision. During that time slavery was still going on and Abe wanted all of it to end so everyone could be equal, but barely anyone agreed with him. Abraham Lincoln took a stand and fought for what he thought was right. Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, which ended all of slavery so every man and woman would be treated equal. Lincoln has faced many problems, but that has never stopped him for doing what is right. As a result Lincoln has become famous for many reasons and one of them had changed the world.

He was always a good public speaker, he thought and cared for others instead of thinking just about himself. On Feburary the 12th 1809 was Abraham Lincoln born in Hodgenville, Kenucky. He grew up in poor circumstances. His parents Thomas Lincoln and Nancy Hanks were little farmers later “Abe” had to work in the farm. For his school education wasn't much time. In December 1816 the Lincolns moved, to the newly admitted state of Indiana. The Lincolns lived in a small, three-sided shelter on Pigeon Creek, sixteen miles north of the Ohio River. There “Abe” learned the use of axe and plow when he had to help his father. Together they built a shelter and a farm out of the hardwood forest. When his mother died in 1818, his father Thomas went back to Kentucky and remarried. His new wife's name was Sarah "Sally" Bush Johnston, a widow from Kentucky. His stepmother bothered for Abrahams school education and took the decision, that Abraham does also something for his school education during his work on the farm. She also gave him on his birthday some books to learn reading. But his father wanted, that Abraham work as a farmer. 1830 he moved out from his family and went to New Salam and worked there as a business person and continued his private study.
