SUMMARY
Entering the office and showing Holmes and Watson an 18th century manuscript, Dr. James Mortimer tells the myth of Hugo Baskerville. Hugo captured and imprisoned a young country girl at his estate in Devonshire. He then became the victim of a hound of hell as he chased her along the lonesome moors late one night. Ever since that day, James Mortimer reports, the Baskerville family has been haunted by a mysterious and supernatural black hound. The recent death of Sir Charles Baskerville has brought back suspicions and fears. The next of kin, Holmes and Watson find out, has arrived in London to take up his post at Baskerville Hall, but he has already been intimidated by an anonymous warning note and the theft of a shoe.
The duo quickly discovers that Sir Henry Baskerville is being followed in London by a mysterious bearded stranger, and they speculate as to whether the mystery man is a friend or an enemy. Holmes, however, says he is too busy in London to accompany Mortimer and Sir Henry to Devonshire to investigate the bottom of the case, so he sends Dr. Watson to be his eyes and ears, asking him to report back regularly.
Arriving in Devonshire, Watson discovers a state of emergency, with armed guards on the lookout for an escaped prisoner wandering the moors. He meets potential suspects in Mr. Barrymore and Mrs. Barrymore, Mr. Jack Stapleton and his sister Beryl, Baskerville neighbours.

1A. In the event that Peter is terminating his agency relationship with Alice he should do so in line with the agency contract that first established their relationship. Peter reserves the right to retract his agency relationship with Alice any time but he will be held liable for damages because his decision amounts to violation of the contract that he fashioned with Alice. Peter is supposed to pay Alice $1,080 (6% of $18,000) as this is the amount that the Principal would have earned if he had proceeded with the contract. This serves to indemnify Alice for the commission she was deprived by Peter’s action to rescind the contract without issuing any notice thus compensating the agent for her efforts and for specific performance.

I have found various items from all four of the promotional mix elements. Effective promotional campaigns require a solid mix of items from the four elements. Companies seek to find the right variety from the four elements, and sometimes do not use all four elements. Tide racing uses all four items to promote their sponsorship with NASCAR.
In reality, Miss Brill is a part of nothing. She sits alone on a bench with her ratty old fur and watches the world pass before her. She sees other people sitting on benches Sunday after Sunday and thinks of them as "funny...odd, silent, nearly all old...as though they'd just come from dark little rooms." Rather than see herself as one of them, she creates a fantasy world to escape facing the truth. Even in this seemingly perfect production, within Miss Brills mind, Mansfield shows us that there is the possibility of evil. Along come the "hero and heroine" of Miss Brills imagination and the nasty truth cuts like a knife. The young couple begin to ridicule and make fun of the "stupid, old, lonely lady that no body wants," and in that instant her dream is demolished and little world crumbles.

... was “I don’t believe in such nonsense.” However they were eventually convinced and became frightened as a result. The hound symbolizes the fear that the characters felt throughout the story, and it haunted the Baskerville family for generations. However, it was shot down in the end. Holmes states in page 112 “We’ve laid the family ghost once and forever.” This creates a moment of relief within the characters as well as within the reader due to the fact that the hound was exterminated, and the “Curse of the Baskervilles” was no more.
A powerful, moving, eye opening novel is what should be taught in the grade 12 curriculum. A Thousand Splendid Suns written by Khaled Hosseini is just that. It is an incredible novel which gives students a better understanding of the 4U course. Firstly, the author explores literacy devices which illustrates effectively and is applicable for the 4U student and their journey to post secondary school. Secondly, A Thousand Splendid suns relates to the novel The Kite Runner as they both have main characters with tragic flaws in their lives similar to Amir, Hassan and Baba. It uses a woman protagonist instead of male, giving the reader a different prospective to life in Afghanistan as a female instead of a male. Lastly, the duality of human nature through the difference of characters, tying the novel to an important theme in the course. Therefore, Khaled Hosseini’s A thousand Splendid Suns is an incredibly moving novel which should be taught in the grade twelve curriculum as students would only benefit from reading this novel.
The juncture of Islamic and American cultural movements has found a home in the various Sufi traditions that prevalent in the Western world. These subsequent artistic cultural traditions and rituals make Sufism the most culturally dominant and pervasive form of Islam in modern day Western culture – beating out the two largest internationally prevailing sects of orthodox Islam (Sunnism) and Shia’ism. In the following paper, I will assert that there are two primary spheres of Sufi tradition that transcend American society. The first being the sphere of culture, which includes but is not limited to, dance, music, poetry, arts, education, psychology and philosophical paradigms. The second sphere encompasses the influence of religious sites: mosques and tomb shrines.
“The marketing mix refers to the set of actions, or tactics, that a company uses to promote its brand or product in the market. The 4Ps make up a typical marketing mix - Price, Product, Promotion and Place. However, nowadays, the marketing mix increasingly includes several other Ps like Packaging, Positioning, People and even Politics as vital mix elements.”
The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, continues the curse of the Baskervilles with the legend of the hound. Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson must solve the mystery before the Baskerville family comes to an end. Therefore the author explains the theme of not being ruled by fear through characters dying, research being affected, and characters changing throughout the novel.
I never imagined that after travelling through such tranquil and heavenly landscape we would be greeted upon arrival by a barrage of soldiers. Holmes, at this point my heart wept for Sir Henry because he had expressed eagerness at visiting the moor, and I could only imagine how he must have been feeling after arriving at this most inappropriate time. As we travelled by horse drawn carriage to the estate, our questions were answered by a foot soldier that informed us that a convicted murderer, who goes by the name of Selden, had escaped from prison. Holmes it baffles me how a town can claim to be safe if it cannot keep its criminals where they belong,-in jail.

Mr. Holder went to Mr. Holmes in a hysterical manner. He was calmed down and started to tell him his mystery. Then Holmes asked him whether any one visits them, no one replied Holder except for Arthur’s friend George Burnwell. He added that Mary does not go out of the house, which seemed strange for a young lady but her uncle thought of her as a pleasant and quite girl, and thought of his son of being guilty.
