An SUV rear-ended a horse-and-buggy on East River Road in Whitefield the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 4, causing damage to both vehicles but no injuries. George C. Bronn, 40, of Whitefield, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet SUV north on East River Road at the time of the accident, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Kevin Dennison. Henry Miller, 24, of Whitefield, was operating a horse-and-buggy north on East River Road in front of Bronn. Bronn was the sole occupant of the SUV. There were two passengers in the horse-and-buggy: Jerry Miller, 23, of Heuvelton, N.Y., and Paul Troyer, 25, of De Kalb Junction, N.Y. The buggy was beginning to round a corner on East River Road at the time of the accident, according to Dennison. Bronn saw the buggy
and braked and swerved in an attempt to avoid it, but the front passenger side of the SUV struck the rear end of the buggy. The buggy went into the northbound ditch. All three occupants were ejected, according to Dennison. The SUV skidded into the southbound lane before coming to rest. The accident occurred at 10:06 a.m. There were no injuries to the occupants of either vehicle or to the horse drawing the buggy, according to Dennison. The buggy sustained about $3,000 of damage and the SUV “several thousand” dollars of damage. Bronn faces a class D charge of operating after suspension – habitual offender, according to Dennison. Bronn was wearing a seat belt. Dennison was the investigating officer. The accident did not affect traffic except for a brief time during the removal of the buggy from the ditch. Buggies have become a common sight in Whitefield since the arrival of Amish settlers in March. Dennison said the buggies have reflectors and carry lanterns after dark. “People have to slow down and be more aware of where things are when they’re driving,” he said. The Whitefield Board of Selectmen plans to discuss the accident during its regular meeting at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 10.
After sifting through the evidence, the culprit of the accident can be determined. The accident occurred on 7:45 AM on the date of September 11, 2001. At at stoplight, four cars were stopped, but a car accident occurred. Based on prior evidence from other cases, the back car is usually the culprit. Dr. Otto Mobile’s interview shows that he was not in a rush, going to lecturing a class, and he was behind a dancing woman, presumably dancing to music. Also, Ken Notstop was not in a rush as well and he was part of a tree business. Following Ken, Kelly Sion was interviewed, showing that she had a song stuck in her head. Due to the fact she wanted to exercise before she was supposed to open the gym, she was in a rush.. Anita Newcar was in a rush due to the fact that she was already late to work, and she was behind a car with trees and a nest on the back. Due to the fact that Kelly had a song stuck in her head, she could’ve been the woman dancing in a car that Dr. Otto Mobile mentioned, showing that she was in front of Otto. Because Ken was the only person
The novel “Indian Horse” by Richard Wagamese demonstrates the many conflicts that indigenous people encounter on a daily basis. This includes things such as, the dangers they face and how they feel the need to flee to nature, where they feel the most safe. Another major issue they face is being stripped of their culture, and forcibly made to believe their culture is wrong and they are less of a human for being brought up that way, it makes them feel unworthy. Finally, when one is being criticised for a hobby they enjoy due to their indigenous upbringing, they make himself lose interest and stop the hobby as it makes them different and provokes torment. People who are trying

Nobody likes being uncomfortable, right? Many people stuff their feelings deep down inside themselves. A good example of this is myself, when I get frustrated, mad, or sad I don’t talk; instead, I keep all of my thoughts and feelings inside. Many times people get nervous or feel uncomfortable and push it down inside of themselves. This discomfort is just what Louise Erdrich portrays in her short story “American Horse,” through the police and social worker when they create a stressful and uncomfortable atmosphere.o This stressful and uncomfortable atmosphere is created through the house search, when Koob and Officer Brackett flirt with each other, and Koob’s sweat.*

“Hay for the Horses,” by Gary Snyder I chose this poem because it was easy to understand and enjoyable. One other reason why I chose this because my father was once a farmer and this poem is about the hardships that almost every farmers face. The author writes a little bit about himself in the poem which makes it very interesting to read and understand. The second poem I chose to compare was “Guilty at the Rapture,” by Keith Taylor. I chose this poem because it was easy to understand, it was religious, and because it was very different from “Hay for the Horses”. Both author’s main character in the poems are very similar, which is another reason why I choose these two poems.

For centuries people have enjoyed horses in various ways. From racing Thoroughbreds to western pleasure, the equine sport can be observed around the world. But, behind the glitz and glamour of horse shows, there is also a dark side. Nowadays, some horse people will use harmful shortcuts to get a leg up in competition. “ Pushed beyond their limits, most horses are subjected to cocktails of legal and illegal drugs intended to mask injuries and artificially enhance performance.” (PETA). Many trainers will use extreme, abusive techniques in the name of competition.
Have you ever wondered, “Why did this happen?” or “How did this happen?” When riding four wheelers you don't want anything important to fall off of them, but luck is not always on your side. Dalton was riding in the field next to his house with his cousin Branden, and later with his brother Garrett. As they were riding through the corn husks, the end piece of the muffler came loose and fell off of Dalton’s four wheeler.
