Hong Kong Tourism
The tourism industry is one of the major pillars of the economy of Hong Kong even though is not in a large percentage of GDP, but it help to bring up the other industry business such as retail sale, merchandise trade, service trade etc. According to Hong Kong’s Census & Statistics Department data in 2004, the tourism industry contributed to 5% of Hong Kong’s GDP. The entire industry employs around 271,800 persons, accounting for 7.2% of total employment.
There have 2.5% declined of the visitor arrivals in 2015 over 2014. The Mainland continued to be the largest amount which accounting for around 77% of our total visitors. In the first quarter of 2016, that percentage dropped by 10.9%, which compare with the same period of …show more content…

Also, HK government estimated that this project will generate around HK$148 billion and about 6% of gross GDP in benefits to HK over 40 years.
Known that the Shanghai Disneyland opened in June 2016 as the first Disneyland in China. The theme park overall size and facility in compare with HK around 3 times bigger, it will drag down the mainland visitor in result and will also affect the retail sale revenue, hotel business, food and beverage business decline.
In conclusion, I agree with the above policy that HK government was issue and the contribution to the society. Believe that HK government need to do some more development, more consideration and collect more feedback to bring Hong Kong a way out. The above 3 project already have and soon to have some advantage to HK, such as the employment opportunity, trading and retail aspect, and can facilities the locals business. Viewing from the good side, the High speed railway make us have a faster connection with GZ it might facilities the trade in between and also opening up some inner mainland city; the parallel trade in One Trip visit endorsement case show that HK merchandiser have a confidence marks and show what Mainlander mostly concern at their society and it is another business opportunity to develop; the HK Disneyland vs SH Disneyland, the size is bigger but it doesn’t mean it better and which can push the HK Disneyland to have more business strategy in order to attract the locals and other Asia
