death. The main plot of the story is Tiana being shot and killed in a drive by. Her death triggered most of the problems Teddy faced. Teddy was out to find the people who killed her and had a mindset that nobody could change. His short temper made the problem no better. Teddy didn't go through with his plan because he was captured by the police and sent to jail. He was later released on probation but had to serve some time doing community service. After Tiana was shot his anger towards everyone was hectic and that caused more problems when he was sent to jail. Teddy was known for having a short temper but Tiana was someone that kept him focused through all his ups and downs so when she died it triggered his temper. He didn't care what no one else had to say about his actions. Him not being able to get revenge on the suspects made everything ten times worse. Instead of having a normal grief his grief was getting payback. He though he owed his sister a favor and killing her murders would bring peace to the both of them. But his sister death wasn't the only problem going on in the book. His probation and house arrest also caused problems. When he was in jail he found out more information about his sister killer which kind of excited him and took the worry off of his chest. When he was released later he killed the person who took his little sister life.

The Truman book I chose to read for the first quarter is All Fall Down by Ally Carter. All Fall Down is about a girl named Grace Blakely who has grown up in Adria, a European nation. She finds out her mom has died. Grace remembers an old man with a scar who was at the sight of where her mom died when it happened. Grace thinks he is the killer. She calls the man the Scarred man. Grace meets some people on the way including Megan and Noah who help her with her search to find the person who killed her mom.
The book that I chose to do is Street Pharm by Allison van Diepen, the book has 297 pages, the reason I chose this book is personally I am tired novels taking place years before I am born. This novel pertains to urban problems and one kids' attempt to survive in the pressures of present day Brooklyn. Within the novel, there are several subplots, one being his love interest, Alyse, and Ty's fight to stay in school. As well as, his fight not to lose money or control of his territory. It is interesting to watch this young man, balance these things in his life and not let them interfere with each other.
My book was Gone by Lisa Gardner. It is a story about an ex-FBI profiler Pierce Quincy and his estranged wife, Rainie Conners. The story takes place in Oregon. The story begins with the profiler finding an empty car on the highway. After doing some investigating, he figured out that it was Rainies car. Thus begins the searching for Rainie. Unknown to Pierce, Rainie had been kidnapped. She is beaten, tortured, and thrown into a dark and cold basement. She stays there and tries to escape many times. Eventually, the kidnapper throws down another victim. Rainie was horrified to realize that it was a small boy. Now she can’t escape herself, she has to help the boy escape. With every failed escape, she is beaten even worse. The kidnapper finally had enough and decided to kill them. He fills the basement with water until he thought that they were dead. Fortunately, Rainie and the little boy escaped. The boy ran past the attacker while Rainie threw the attacker into the basements. They
The name of my book is Killing Mr. Griffin by Lois Duncan. This is a mystery thriller about five teens who plan to kidnap their English teacher to teach him a lesson. Their teacher is very hard on them and does not allow any room for slacking. But instead of just kidnapping him for a while, they decide to abandon him for a while by a deserted lake in the middle of nowhere. Two of the teens come back to find that he is dead. Now they must decide what to do with the body and how to explain his death.
The film that interested me for this assignment was “Boyz n the Hood”. The movie was about a Los Angeles neighborhood expanding of drug and gang culture, with increasingly tragic results. It was about how one teen had family support to guide him on the right path in life regarding the social problems around him. The other two teens in the film wasn’t as fortunate and fell into the social problems of drugs, violence, and gangs; where one ended up dead.
He was intelligent, articulate and handsome. During a gruesome killing spree, Ted Bundy slaughtered more than thirty five women within the span of five years, becoming one of the most notorious serial killers in American history. He grew up believing that his grandparents were his parents and his unwed mother to be his older sister. He was not very good at building relationships and had a lot of conflict with his stepfather and enjoyed the terms of violence and sex as a child. Ted shoplifted during his teenage years and enjoyed being above the law. He was generally very shy and gained a lot of popularity and self esteem in high school because of his good looks. It was there that he met his high school girlfriend Stephanie Brooks with whom he become obsessed, but the relationship did not last very long as she did not feel the same way for him so she broke up with him. Depressed by the break up, Ted dropped out of college and returned home with his family where he found out the truth about his biological mother. This left Ted in a state of confusion about his identity and he felt betrayed by the women in his life. He went back to high school where he and Stephanie got back together but right after she agreed to marry him, he broke up with her to seek revenge. After this charade his killing spree began, luring young women with lies, abducting, raping, physically abusing and killing them.
In the first place, despite the creativity and imagination of Teddy, he is harshly criticized by his uncle and aunt who do not know what he is thinking in his mind. Therefore, they do not understand him thoroughly. Teddy’s dominant character trait is shown in his handiwork of the world he has created: “The streets and alleys were full of nobles, peasants and soldiers, their two dimensional bodies scissored from paper, their faces and clothing down in crayons and lead pencils”. (Nowlan 41) Indeed, Teddy is very creative. He is able to build a paper-made kingdom, in which are present people of various social cl...
Theodore Bundy was born on November 24th 1946. He was born to an unwed mother who was told that she was his sister. He was raised by his grandparents who portrayed themselves as his parents throughout his early childhood years. According to the article I read Ted’s grandfather was abusive towards Ted and his other siblings (Montaldo). Ted was shy and said to be sociably awkward, but during high school he developed into good looking guy and was liked by many.
Since the last time I have journaled I have finished Magic hour by Kristin Hannah and Just Listen by Sarah Dessen. Magic Hour is about a feral child who was found in the small town of Rain Valley. It follows the police chief, Ellie, and her sister, Julia, while they try to figure out how to help this child. Julia is a psychiatrist who is working to get the girl to speak, while Ellie is trying to find whom the girl belongs to. Just Listen is about Annabel, the youngest sister of three in the Greene family. The family seems like they have a perfect life. The girls all model, Annabel is popular at school, they live in the perfect neighborhood, and they appear to everyone like the perfect family. The reader quickly discovers that this is not the
...t his life from himself. Lastly, when Teddy finally does realize the truth he quickly loses all his progress and forgets everything. Throughout the movie, it seemed as though Teddy was a normal guy until the end of the movie where he ends up to an actual patient at Ashecliffe and the majority of the movie was his delusions. “[Teddy’s patient file stated] patient is highly intelligent. Highly delusional. Decorated army veteran. Present for the liber...liberation of Dachau. Former U.S. Marshal. Known proclivity for violence. Shows no remorse for his crime because he denies the crime ever...ever took place. Highly developed and fantasical narratives which preclude facing the truth of his actions.” (Scorsese, 2010).
For my book I chose to read The Body by Stephen King. This novel is about four young boys taking a journey to find a body somewhere in the woods that is at the county line. This story is about more than just four boys going on an adventure its about them becoming closer to each other and learning real life lessons along the way. The four boys are all going into their first year of middle school so this is a time in their life when they learn things that will help them in life.
I have chosen to review the film Boyhood written by Richard Linklater that took twelve years to film. In the movie Boyhood, it illustrates the life of a boy named Mason Jr. through the many stages of his childhood to adolescence to becoming an adult. The movie follows Mason Jr.’s life through his years of kindergarten, middle school, high school, and to college. Through these milestones in his life encounters society with socialization, culture and norms that are exhibited through his family, friends, and others. With factors of social classes, and gender that influence Mason Jr. as he grows and fits into the society that is formed. From the events and milestones in Boyhood, it is able to show human behaviour in society from our
I liked (-- removed HTML --) Diary Of An Oxygen Thief (-- removed HTML --) from the start to the end. The book started out compelling. The anonymous writer did very well and I wanted to keep reading to see if he would ever break his pact with himself to never have an alcoholic drink again. The writer faced many situations that he definitely could have avoided and not hurt other people's feelings. He taught himself and learned from his past experiences. I feel bad for him, because he had to make the mistakes first to even realize what harm he was doing to not only himself but everyone he dragged into his life.
Ifunny by James Patterson it is a realistic fiction book. It is a 305 page book. According to a review on amazon a guy said’ this is a great book’.’ I think it is recommended to 9 to 11. I think that because it is a longer book but it is a great book.
