We can learn about the Holocaust by examining the day to day experiences of one victim. We can learn many things just by one victims experience, such as how they lived, what they could and couldn’t do, for example, they could not ride automobiles but could ride the ferries, they couldn’t go to the movies, go to school, play any school activities. Anne Frank’s diary entries show us about the way individuals respond in time of chaos or danger, for example when one of then was out buying some things they needed and the Nazi police was doing a rousting and was going to look for any Jews out, they were extremely worried. The reacted fast and hid before Nazis soldiers captured them and took them to concentration camp like most of the Jews were.
Anne Frank, Jeanne Wakatsuki and Elie Wiesel all are greatly affected by the war, but in different milieus and in different scenarios. Anne Frank was a 13-year-old Jewish girl who was thrown into one of the worst periods in the history of the world: the Holocaust. Though she went through awful things that many people will never experience, she always kept the faith that there was still some good in everyone. She once said, “Despite everything, I still believe people are truly good at heart.” Her diary, which she kept while her family was in hiding from the Nazis, shows the triumph of her spirit over the evil in the world even through the pain of adolescence.
Studing the Holocaust is very importnant, there are many different categories in this topic that you can break it down into. Hitler's rise to power, the Holocaust itself, World War II, Anne Frank, and why it is important to learn about the Holocaust. These are vey large topics in this subject, they are important things to hit on. The holocaust caused a lot of confusion durnig this time period.
The delineation of human life is perceiving existence through resolute contrasts. The difference between day and night is defined by an absolute line of division. For the Jewish culture in the twentieth century, the dissimilarity between life and death is bisected by a definitive line - the Holocaust. Accounts of life during the genocide of the Jewish culture emerged from within the considerable array of Holocaust survivors, among of which are Elie Wiesel’s Night and Simon Wiesenthal’s The Sunflower. Both accounts of the Holocaust diverge in the main concepts in each work; Wiesel and Wiesenthal focus on different aspects of their survivals. Aside from the themes, various aspects, including perception, structure, organization, and flow of arguments in each work, also contrast from one another. Although both Night and The Sunflower are recollections of the persistence of life during the Holocaust, Elie Wiesel and Simon Wiesenthal focus on different aspects of their existence during the atrocity in their corresponding works.
We study history to learn from it. People make mistakes and it is not only our job, but our responsibility to learn from them so no one makes those errors again. What we learn from the Holocaust is what happens when you forget your morals and blindly follow others. We learn the horrible, tragic outcome of racism and discrimination. We learn that when good does nothing, evil takes over. We study the Holocaust because it is not only important, but essential that we do not repeat history.
During World War II, there was a Holocaust that the world will never forget. The word “Holocaust,” means the destruction or slaughter on a mass scale, especially caused by fire or nuclear war. Because of what the Germans did to discriminate the Jews, Jewish people developed trauma which impacted generations. The Germans caused to future generations of Jews, obesity, schizophrenia, certain fears, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and a handful of other things can be passed down to the children. Trauma can be passed to the next generation because it has been proved in scientific research on the Holocaust, testing on mice, and the effects of this post war DNA change today.
To begin with the holocaust had a great impact in history even though it was a time of disaster, murder, and discrimination. It was a time in which Adolf Hitler,German politician and Nazi party leader, wanted all Jews suffering or dead. Adolf Hitler turned everyone against the Jews because he believed that they were to wealthy and too powerful so he wanted to eliminate all of them. The Jews went through a lot of suffering and pain. The German soldiers which took commands from their leader, Adolf Hitler, put some Jews to work and killed others. Many Jews didn't get to work they were killed instantly. All women were separated from the man and woman were mostly killed instantly only some got the opportunity to work. The some ways that the jews were killed is that they were put into gas chambers by tons or shot by soldiers. Jews were also dying by starvation dehydration soldiers would not give them enough food or water. They would only want those with blue eyes and blonde hair they discriminated all the others. Soldiers would not only kill the Jews but torture them for anything they did. The Jews would be transported from camp to camp walking even in the worst weather conditions which also many died from it.
The Holocaust was an extremely horrific period of history. Millions were killed and lost everything, including money, family, and dignity. However, it has taught many lessons. We can study it today to make sure nothing like it ever happens again.

It was really important to know the signs of it starting again like a country changing its' law like eliminating goverment postions so somebody has all the power. It is an amazing thing that we learn about the tragic events that took place in Europe. We also learn about the Holocaust because we don't want another world war. It would be tragic if we hand another world war that tore the world up. We also don't need another person doing the same exact thing Hilter did like creating laws discriminating many just because of their race or religon. So the main reason we learn about the Holocaust and all the other tragic event is to know how all the people around the world were effected in some way and if it did happen again it would also effect everybody right now. We also want to make sure it never happens again.
So why do we study the Holocaust? Is it to know of Adolf Hitler's madness or know about a large part of World War II? I believe it is to know how to recognize and stop something like the Holocaust from ever happening again. It is like Edmund Burke said, "All tyrany needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent." The Holocaust gained it's foodhold because we didn't know what was happening so we remained silent. A lot of the suffering and pain could've been prevented if we had simply realized what was going on. Another one of Edmund's quotes is that, "Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it." That is why we must learn and know about the Holocaust so that we do not repeat our mistakes of the past.
The Holocaust was a time period in history that is very important to learn about. We learn about it for many reasons, but I think the most important reason is to learn not to discriminate against other people. Not only is it very important to learn about the Holocaust, but it's also important to learn about Hitler's rise to power and how he came to make his decision of the discrimination affiliated with the Holocaust. The events and outcome of World War II and Anne Frank are very important topics, too. These topics are all factors that are associated with the overall events of the Holocaust and all back up the reason as to why we study the Holocaust.

What made the leaders of the 41 States create and sign this document in which the term Genocide was legally defined? This document serves as a permanent reminder of the actions made by the Nazis and their leader Adolf Hitler during the Holocaust where more than five million of European Jews were killed. In summary I will explain what were the events that leaded the ordinary Germans kill more than six million Jews in less than five years. To achieve this goal, I will base my arguments on the Double Spiral Degeneration Model provided by Doctor Olson during the spring semester of the Comparative Genocide class.
If the “killers” of the Holocaust were not put in the situations they were in, many of them would not have committed the crimes they did; whether they were killing the Jews or just delivering the Jews to camps, they were part of the extermination of innocent people. Most of them were killing in fear, they didn’t want to be persecuted and murdered so they made it look like they were for the Nazi party. Anne Frank once said, “Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart.” I believe that this quote, which is saying that some people do bad things but that does not mean they are bad people, many are doing things out of fright, hoping it will save their lives, is very true. All But My Life by Gerda Weissmann Klein which is about a Jewish family, mainly on the little girl in the family who goes through the unimaginable during the Holocaust, popped into mind when I heard the quote. Also two short stories called “Tiengen” by Maurice Meier and “Rescuers” by Irene Opdyke came to mind when I read this quote.

Why didn't the non Jewish people fight for their friends, family, and acquaintances? If the non Jews would have collaborated then they would have had capitulate from the Nazis. Were they scared, or were they afraid that they could not do anything? Well, if enough of the non Jews had fought back they could have helped the Jews out of the Concentration camps and all of the torture that they were being put through. One reason that the non Jews should have fought back was if they were in the Jews predicament then they would want help too. The non Jews could have been triumphant. The non Jews should have had an aspiration for saving their friends. Hitler was putting them through the worst possible treatment. I know that I would want help. I would help it is the right thing to do and that the Jews have a right to believe what they want. Everybody has the right to believe what they want.
