This movie’s genre is difficult to analyze because there is so much going on in it. The movies main genres are action and thriller. Action films often evolve fights, chase scenes, explosions and a lot of physical drama. There are three main scenes in this film that meet this requirement: The first takes place during Watson’s stag (bachelor) party, where Holmes fights with an assassin. The second happens on a speeding train, where Holmes and Watson face off against Moriarty’s henchmen. The final action scene is when Holmes and Watson are fleeing the tank factory and being chased by German soldiers and under fire from heavy artillery. This film also has the aspects of both mystery and thriller genres. Dramatic pacing, unpredictable
situations, and the investigation of a sinister plot keep the viewer on the edge of their seat. A good example is Holmes’ investigation into Moriarty’s master plan, which serves as the basic plot of the movie. Another example is Holmes’ inner monologue while determining his next move. Also, the torture scene with Moriarty makes the viewer fearful for Holmes, as it appears that he has no way of getting out. Finally, the climax of the film involves discovering the identity of the assassin at the conference.
Anyone can teach others from leading by example. Showing others what you can accomplish establishes confidence in others to try out their own dreams, wishes, and goals. This little boy inspires the men to show others that everyone should have the same opportunity to play baseball, no matter the skill level.

Holmes and Holmes developed this typology based on various characteristics of the crime scenes and the victims themselves of 110 interviews of selected offenders and serial murders (Canter & Wentink, 2004). David Canter and Natalia Wentink conducted an empirical test of this typology and developed several criticisms to their work. Their empirical test concluded that the features described for each category tend to co-occur within each other. For example, the characteristics of a lust killer include a controlled crime scene, evidence of torture, the body being moved, a specific type of victim, no weapon left at the crime scene, and rape; all of these features are also included for the thrill killer. This makes it difficult to categorize these
