In this essay you will read about Watson’s perspective. This essay will also include how the author developed Watson’s perspective in each passage. Watson has two different perspectives towards Holme’s through the passages, “Sherlock Holmes and the Blue Carbuncle” and “How Watson Learned the Trick.”
In passage one, “Sherlock Holmes and the Blue Carbuncle”, Watson thinks very highly of Holmes. He’s shocked how Holme’s is managing to know all this just by looking at an object. In the passage, it states,
“HOLMES: The traces of sweat inside it indicate that the wearer perspires a lot, so he must be out of shape. And these bits of gray hair - from a recent haircut - tell us that he is a gentleman of some age.
WATSON: You do have an answer to everything.” This evidence shows how Watson is impressed with Holmes and thinks very highly of him. Watson believes Holmes does have an answer to everything because of his way of investigating and predicting. The next piece of evidence states,
“WATSON: How will you find the owner of the hat? There must be dozens of Henry Bakers in London.
