I woke up in an empty, oddly-constructed, wood structure. Presumably a room of sorts, possibly the inside of a hollowed tree. There’s an odd feeling of exhaustion lingering throughout my entire body. No matter how much I try I can’t seem to get up. It’s a very queer feeling, one that I’m not too familiar with considering my rather slender physique. “Hey, you awake?” I heard a voice say. The voice was clearly female and almost emulated the drowsiness I’m currently under. I answered with a plain and simple, “What? Who’s there?” Well, I attempted a plain and average tone. I was partially unable to hide the nervousness and slight fear I felt. In response I heard another voice proudly proclaim, “He has been awoken!” This voice was very clearly …show more content…
As I stood up, Enna noticed me and began to walk out with grayson. “Let’s go.” She said as I followed. We kept walking until we arrived at a pond. Enna and Grayson began to drink the water from the pond water. I cupped some water in my hands and splashed it into my face. I looked at Enna and Grayson to see them staring behind me. I looked behind me to see a hunter looming behind me. It raised its arm as tendrils came from its forearm. The tendrils contorted and morphed its raised arm into a spike. As it was about to drive the spike into me, I dove into the pond and quickly swam to the side where Enna and Grayson were standing. I then got out of the pond and ran with them. I looked back and the hunter was in full pursuit of us. It was sprinting very fast and began to catch up to us. I grabbed Enna and Grayson due to them being almost paralyzed with fear. I then sprinted in the direction of a rose bush. As it got close enough to strike me, it raised its arm. Just before it swung down, I rolled to the side with Enna and Grayson still in my arms. The hunter ran into a rose bush and fell into it. As the thorns pierced its slimy flesh, it let out an ear-piercing screech. I dropped Enna and Grayson then grabbed a fallen

I broke away from the man’s grasp, scraping my arm upon his sharp beard and watching my feet take turns hitting the ground as the distance between he and myself grew greater. Scout’s hand was no longer in mine and I crawled frantically on the ground before I felt her ham costume. I pulled her to her feet but was thrust backwards slipping from her grasp again. I felt an agonising pain, shoot through my left arm that was accompanied by an ear-piercing CRACK. My head smashed into a tree root and the night faded even further to black. The next few moments felt like mere seconds. Slipping in and out of consciousness, I identified the silhouette of a lanky man. He freed Scout from the clutches of our attacker and thrust a knife between the man’s ribs, sending him collapsing lifelessly to the
No, wait, I’m awake! Help! Somebody help me! But she could not speak. She couldn’t open her eyes.
It wasn’t enough to kill him but enough to knock him out for a few second but I took a chance and sprinted back towards the car. I was almost there when he started to catch up to me. I didn’t stop I just kept tromping through the weeds. I never run anywhere I’m not one for exercise I usually would have passed out by now but the adrenalin was rushing through my veins making me sprint faster and faster.
[8] The huntsman ignores the creature and stabs the creature using full force, killing him instantly. He beheads the ogre and says “ This will be worth a lot on the market, the ogre has been wanted for years in the city.” the huntsman puts the ogre’s head in a bag and sends it off into the city. Soon after he picks up his knocked out daughter and walked her back to the cottage.
She was roaring impossibly loud and all of the townspeople covered their ears with the palms of their hands and watched in shock at the dinosaur-like monster standing on two feet in the shoreline. Everyone started fleeting from the beach into their cars to race to the other side of the island, away from the monster. But they were too slow and Enki started to rage at the people for
“Suddenly the young hunter saw the woman, with her dress above her waist, her bare legs sprayed wide apart. He had never seen a woman like that before. He ran quickly to her side and stared down at her belly, quite frightened to touch. There, lying beneath the woman's legs, was the body of a small, damp, pink animal, attached only by something that looked like a rope......”
The hunter initially confronts her with a whistle, which she knew right away lacked the “friendliness” of a bird’s call, but was “aggressive” like a boy (Jewett 2). The fear she has for the hunter shows his representation of her past of industrialism, steel, and consumerism as Joseph Church states: “ the author depicts the hunter as dangerously if subtly destructive”(Church, par. 3). Elizabeth Ammons furthers this depiction when she states: “The combination of violence, voyeurism, and commercialism contained in the gun-wielding science, the goal of which is to create living death, is chilling”(Ammons 5). The nameless hunter almost immediately takes her freedom from her as he asks for lodging and food, as if she has no choice to become the

An almost deafeningly obnoxious sound errupts from my alarm clock. Startled, I attempt to launch myself out of bed, hit my forehead on my headboard, and almost instantly create a rebarbative lump. Reluctantly, I check the time. Repulsive, red numbers tell me it is time to wake up.
In the deep green forest, underneath the dusk sunlight, a deer peacefully eats all of the berries found on bushes and plants alike. Unbeknownst to the deer, a hunter continues to lurk throughout the forest hoping to catch one last meal for his family. The dusk light creates an eerie feeling around the forest as it shines through the trees. A cool breeze sweeps throughout the forest, as night draws closer and closer, with the hunter knowing that time is not on his side. The hunter spots the deer, and begins to line up the shot; the deer continues to eat, oblivious to any sign of human movement.
a perfect shot. The Beast I was stalking was peacefully nibbling grass, unaware that it was being hunted. It was a small Beast, but I had to kill it. Back at the Capitol, we were taught that humans were superior compared to Beasts. In the Twilight Days, before the Emperor came to power, Beasts frequently preyed upon people. Since then, we were taught to kill Beasts on sight. The
