Have you ever thought about having exciting and incredibly cheap vacations? Albania might be the right choice. According to My Travel Guide, Albania is ranked the fourth among ten places worth visiting in Eastern Europe (“Top 10 Eastern European Destinations”). One can encounter three kinds of vacations in this Mediterranean country: winter, summer, and cultural. The ideal places to spend your winter vacations are the Albanian Alps. They are situated in the northern Albania, where tourists have discovered amazing mountains, landscapes with isolated charm-full valleys, and ancient traditions. The valley of Valbona is the first picturesque landscape you should visit. The snowy sword-like mountains that surround the valley perfectly indicate …show more content…
The most wonderful part of Vlora is a place called The Cold Water. Seth Kugel describes diving “into crystal blue water” of one of Vlora’s villages as one of his “top travel moments.” All my friends and relatives love this coastal city. People sunbathe all day long and have fun in the amazing nightclubs in the evenings. Many well-known deejays such as Tiesto and Vendetta have given memorable shows in Vlora. Another Albanian city where you can enjoy your summer vacations is Saranda. The “pearl” of the Albanian Riviera, Saranda, lies deep in the South (Howe 2). Referring to Wikipedia, Saranda’s name comes from Greek language and means “Forty Saints” (“Saranda”). It is known for its boulevard parallel to the seaside, where tourists spend their evenings. The most popular municipality of Saranda is Ksamil with its three small islands. If you are not used to hot sun of a typical Mediterranean seaside, you should consider Pogradeci as a good alternative. It is located in the southeastern Albania, right beside the Ohrid Lake. Moreover, you should not skip Drilon Swan Park, in Pogradec. Pogradec Info states that “the paths, bridges, swans, ducks, and doves” make Drilon Park splendid place worth visiting (“Pogradec City Guide - Drilon & …show more content…

The Impact of Tourism on Betws-y-Coed Having compiled my knowledge and research into this piece of coursework, I hope to have addressed the following questions regarding Betws-y-Coed: How has tourism impacted on the economy? What visitor management is currently in place? What are the drawbacks to tourism? In my work, I hope to discover what exactly are the positive and negative aspects of tourism in the honeypot Betws-y-Coed by relating to Snowdonia National Park. It is important to contemplate the features the region has to offer, and why they are so appealing.

Albania, a small country located in Southeastern Europe, is a nation that does not have a true identity – its people are Muslim and Christian, it is a country that is both and poor, it is as much urban as it is rural, and has evolved from monarchy to socialism and now to fledgling democracy. In other words, Albania and its people have seen it all. The extremes of Albanian society are vivid, and underlying tensions are evident. But Albania is not “another Yugoslavia” – there is no doubt that the internal environment of Albania has been and somewhat continues to be tense, although the breaking point has never been fully reached. Albania is a country with a fervently tense past (especially during the Cold War era), yet many people do not know about it, and few would be able to find the country on the map. Despite its beautiful during, its plentiful natural resources, and its extraordinary tradition of hospitality, Albania has always been “the most isolated country in Europe and from World War II until very recently, one of the most isolated countries on earth” (“Real Adventures – Albania” 1).
It is situated at an altitude of 2,034m, being the highest mountain resort of Romania. The cliffs are covered with snow from November till late July, sometimes still persisting till the new one arrives. First, you have to reach Balea Waterfall, and only afterwards try to get to the lake. Late spring is the best time to come- you take the main road and you’re disappointed cause you see no sign of snow and you think you have come such a long way for nothing. But you keep driving, hoping to find that wonderful place where you can ski or snowboard in T-shirt only, without worrying you’ll catch another cold and hoping to meet some of the friends you haven’t seen for the past month or more. The road makes a big turn and suddenly you see what you’ve been waiting for: the big mountains are still covered with snow. So everyone is happy and anxious to finally arrive up there. The area is fantastic for the best skiers and boarders and it offers excellent routes for freeride.
