As I looked up, the moon rose against the backdrop of the setting sun. I am barely able to see as fog replaces my sight and I begin to cough rapidly. Sudden darkness looms into my mind as I hear screaming voices echoing towards me from the distance. Gun blasts explode so close to me I can hear them. “M-m-my arm, Medic!” I hear a poor voice yell out in despair, as red is soon splattered next to me as a grenade goes off. I feel bodies rush close to me to help the armless chap who is soon to be gone, I just do not understand. How we went from helping the ones around us and expressing ourselves with kind words to armor and destruction, now a days you cannot trust our own blood. So what would cause these violent actions to take place around us? As I get up onto my feet I am barely able to stand, I soon hear a loud and powerful voice. The type of voice that will send chills down your spine, the type of voice that will turn you mad. Yes, It is exactly who you think it is; Hitler. This is all his fault! He caused this, this spiral of death we call war. All because of his like and dislikes, if you do not know of the devil himself you must know that he hated all Jews. Hitler was the start of a new type of world, He was an Austrian leader in Germany in the 1930s to 40s and he also brainwashed the entire continent! …show more content…

Adolf Hitler, born in 1889, is an Austrian born man who is known for his instigation and participation in the Nazi Political movement, or genocide, known as the Holocaust. Throughout his later life, Hitler spent the majority of his time organizing discriminatory laws that prevented Jewish citizens’ basic rights and ultimately their demise. However, before he advanced such laws and politics, he served as the Head of State, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, until he became the Fuhrer of Germany’s Third Reich which began in 1933 and ended in 1945 (Jewish Virtual Library). His actions were fueled by an unrelenting and strict hate for the Jewish community, better known as anti-Semitism, much like the vast majority of Eastern countries. Both
The Silber Medal winning biography, “Surviving Hitler," written by Andrea Warren paints picture of life for teenagers during the Holocaust, mainly by telling the story of Jack Mandelbaum. Avoiding the use of historical analysis, Warren, along with Mandelbaum’s experiences, explains how Jack, along with a few other Jewish and non-Jewish people survived.

On December 7th, 1941 the Japanese military launched a brutal attack on a U.S naval base at Pearl Harbor. This has been one of the most tragic events to ever happen in history. This event caused the United States to enter the war. Reasons this happened was because the Japanese were invading other countries like China and South Asia and they didn't want the U.S Fleet to interfere with the invasions, that The United States were closer to the Allies than the Axis powers , and that the Japanese were upset because the United States cut off exports and all trade with Japan. If the Japanese didn’t bomb Pearl Harbor then the United States wouldn’t have joined the war and remained their stance of neutrality.
By surviving the Holocaust I was given the gift of life a second time; that’s how I look at it. I was incarcerated from May 8th 1942 till May 8th 1945, which happened to be my mother’s birthday. At that point I didn’t know she had been killed. I was still searching for her. And why were they killed: my mother, my father my brothers. All in all 63 members of my family were killed. Why? Because of prejudice and bigotry, and hatred. So how do I live with that? How do I forgive them? What do I do? I always wanted to be the best person I could so that no finger could be pointed at me and say, “She’s a Jew. She’s not righteous.” I always wanted to do the best I could because of what happened to me, to prove I was worthy of having stayed

(523) The American people had finally realized what Roosevelt had been saying for years, that the Axis powers could not go unchecked or it could and would bring about consequences for Americans. The attacks had exactly the opposite effect that Yamamoto had intended, the American people were furious and cried out for vengeance against the “treacherous japs”. (523-524)
[4] The United States didn’t initially enter WWII until December 7th, 1941 when America's isolation from war ended as Japan staged a surprise attack on American military installations in the Pacific. Though stunned by the events of December 7, Americans were also determined to avenge the terrorist attack on their country and military. Three days later, the Axis power, consisting of Germany and Italy allied with Japan, declared war on the United

Attack on Pearl Harbor was a very tragic event in US history. The Japanese kept on pushing North Americas buttons. When the Japanese occupied Manchuria that really ticked off North America, it was a very bad move by the Japanese, FDR was not very happy with Japan’s aggression against the Chinese. In result FDR froze all raw materials going to Japan. Oil was the biggest export material going into Japan, taking that away really shook Japan’s economy. We weren’t expecting such a thing from the Japanese. United States eventually joined the Allied Forces with World War 2. The US really taught the Japanese a lesson they needed to learn.
