“3 WORDS – Hitler Was Right!”
When I see things like this, I question what era we are living in because this behaviour is inexcusable in our current society. Nevertheless, Antisemitism is on the rise in Australia, mainly as a result of the terror, ignorance and fear that plagues all of us. We must use interfaith dialogue to combat this troubling issue.
It is our duty to follow the examples of leading organisations such as the National Council of Churches in Australia (NCCA), and encourage interfaith dialogue as it promotes peace and eliminates ignorance. The NCAA explains the purpose of interfaith dialogue as building “understanding and harmony in the Australian context.”
Just last year, the Executive Council of Australian Jewry reported

The Charlottesville Protests resulted in the death of a woman who was protesting the far-right groups, and highlights the barbaric behaviour of these groups.
Australia has seen the rise of Neo-Nazi groups like the Antipodean Resistance and Battalion 88, which advocate for the legalisation of the murder of Jewish people, among other things. The Antipodean Resistance claims to be like “a 21st Century Hitler Youth” group, highlighting their delusional ideals, which are based on a lack of education and fear of the unknown. The development of interfaith dialogue will provide education and will help these groups understand how fallacious they are.
Groups like the Antipodean Resistance can learn so much from other religions, especially Judaism. Judaism advocates for peace and condemns violence and oppression as the Torah states that Jews “shall not oppress a stranger for you know the feelings of the stranger having yourselves been strangers in the land of Egypt.” (Exodus 23:5). Through interfaith dialogues, these groups will be able to understand different religions and inevitably change their

Interfaith dialogue is a perfect way to unite different religions through their differences and similarities, and help us understand that we are all equal in society.
Judaism promotes peacefulness and condemns violence, highlighting another perspective towards racist violence and promoting tolerance. It is stated in Isaiah 2:4 that “they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.” We must use these ideologies to create a peaceful and harmonious society. I know that I would prefer to live in a society that believes in equality rather than one that promotes discrimination and
Out of the desolation of World War II sprang the Australian Committee for the World Council of Churches. This developed into the Australian Council of Churches which, in 1994, grew to be the National Council of Churches in Australia. The NCCA is 15 Christian churches, gathered from across Australia, who have embarked on a pilgrimage together . Each brings a widely diverse record of place, experience, and theology, but all share a mutual faith and confession in the Jesus Christ as God and Savior. All share a common future as they are confident that the future of Christians in Australia lies together, not in division. The aim of the NCCA is to deepen the relationship of member churches so as to communicate more visibly the unity willed by Christ and to rally towards the achievement of their mission of common witness, proclamation and service .
I believe that religious pluralism is more relevant in today’s society than ever before. Religious differences have been a major source of conflict in the world for thousands of years, ranging from the Christian Crusades to the Holocaust. Today we have the War on Terrorism, directly related to the Islam. People, often blinded by patriotic media, government propaganda, and even biased news outlets, are unable to see the situation happening around them from multiple perspectives, creating segregation, prejudice, and hate. I feel religious pluralism will open people’s eyes to the entirety of the situation, allowing them to make an honest and educated opinion. Therefore, by promoting religious pluralism, I will be guiding people towards self-exploration and religious growth, while simultaneously helping them to assess relevant events and politics through their own unbiased
The goals and visions behind my reconciliation action plan was to bring the two sides of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Australians together in equality and harmony. Since the colonisation of Australia there has been a vast divide between the two sides that has caused many serious outcomes for Aboriginal people. My way of contributing to this is to create a better understanding, restore trust and eradicate racism as a positive way to help close the gap between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Australia’s.
as a historian it is clear that in the years of 1941 and 1942 things
Support for the Nazi party was due to the growing belief that it was a
It is the belief of some that the divergent cultural worldviews and political tensions have more to do with the conflict than with religion, and attempts were made by Muslims as well as Christians to seek a common ground and involve in respectful dialogue.
...ng not to acknowledge that there are other faiths around them, there is still high potential for conflict to arise. I’m not saying that all religion is, is conflict. I am saying that just like race and ethnicity, religion is another way to set someone a part from everyone else. With religion being a main source of conflict, it only takes one event to cause whatever conflict to escalate. The solution to this is to promote peace. Learning about other religions could help bring down the violence level so that you have a better understanding of what cultures and religions are around you. Being well educated about other religions does not mean you are converting over, it just means you are taking a step forward in bettering the world, as well as yourself. Therefore, we must educate, learn, and live to the best of our abilities so make the world a better and safer place.
As we move toward a religiously diverse America, the call to separate religion and politics grows. As Americans head into the future there is a huge immersion of the different religions into one common society. It is becoming a challenge in trying to appease and maintain these different religions in the secular social world.
I think a quote from page 180 holds significance is reminiscent of the past and also can perhaps relate to current events. Therefore, this quote reads, "On a scarlet-draped platform an orator of the Inner Party, a small lean man with disproportionately long arms and a large, bald skull over which a few lank lock straggled, was haranguing the crowd." As it follows, I think this quote is significant because it represents the theme of people believing in propaganda and or maybe more accordingly with partial or illusory messages fueled by rants or tirades. Thus, I think this could be reminiscent of Adolf Hitler and how he had mass events where he would harangue the crowd with imagined ideologies. In addition to that, this quote is significant because
As children, a lot of people are taught about Dr.Martin Luther King and his dream to not judge others whatsoever, but what are they supposed to do when another person judges them or their community? They can’t necessarily retaliate, but they also shouldn’t let themselves be treated unfairly, so what do they do? It's a question that might often go through the minds of African Americans, Muslims, Jews, Christians, homosexuals and more people alike. Millions of people around the world are affected or oppressed everyday by ideas and reasons such as chauvinism, casteism, xenophobia, bigotry, sectarianism, and apartheid of any kind. I feel that the best solution to problems such as these would be through examples of peace instead of violence, although it can tough to try to think this way, much like a quote by James Earl Carter, “War may sometimes be a necessary evil. But no matter how necessary it is always an evil, never a good. We will not learn how to live together in peace by killing each other’s children.”
Now, the reverse process is taking place, and education here is the main channel that determines the process and results of mastering the religious value system by secular consciousness currently and in the future. The methods of mastering religious values that have developed in Australian educational practice, including in the Our Lady of the Rosary school, turned either to a liberal-secular model aimed at preserving the "purity" of secular culture, when postulating an ideologically neutral academic studies , or to a model that cultivates religious meanings and values, which in the cultural and interactive plan implies integration secular and religious cultural patterns in the priority of religious values (Rakitić , 2015). Currently, the practice of studying religion in The Australian state and in Our Lady of the Rosary looks different. The existing problems and contradictions are generated , on the one hand, by the imperfection of legislation, and on the other, by the activation of the educational activity of religious associations ("The history of education, religion and the state in Australia ," 2018). In this regard, it is relevant to make understanding of the
The Responsibility of Hitler for World War Two In this essay I will be looking at the main causes of World War 2 and deciding whether it was all Adolf Hitler's fault that it began. I will be looking at things Hitler did, other causes and then concluding with my opinion. In some ways the war was Hitler's fault.
Starting from one of the very first holy wars, the Crusades are a prime example of this disuniting force of religion. Stemming from Pope Urban II’s rallying cry for soldiers to reclaim the Holy Land, this was a series of religious wars launched by Christian states of Europe against the Muslims. Thousands of men, both young and old, were motivated by promises of wealth, religious salvation, and chivalry to fight this religious battle against the Muslims. Despite the nobility, these wars had severe consequences between Christian and Islamic believers. In the article “The Crusades” by W. Robert Godfrey, he expresses, “Hundreds of thousands died, and the terrible massacre in Jerusalem by the crusaders has seriously damaged the reputation of Christianity among Muslims ever since.” This major event in history created tension between Christians and Muslim faiths. As one of the bloodiest wars in history, this conflict between the Muslims and the Christians represents how religion ruptures peace between two segregated sides.
What of religion and what of faith and practice becomes a part of the process of peacemaking?
In the world we are in today, every continent, city, and smallest village has some sort of belief set. Religious belief frequently has the most impact over societies with religion’s ability to mold social laws, boundaries, and sometimes hold entire sway over government systems. However, because religion is left to interpretation of its audiences, religion itself can only be as peaceful or as violent as its followers make it. When religious beliefs are paired with religious intolerance, and people willing to act on that intolerance, religious beliefs can take a turn towards violence, death, and destruction. Religious intolerance is being unwilling to tolerate another 's religious beliefs or practices
