The lesser of two evils Who will do more good for our nation? You have two choices. The arrogant, narcissistic Donald Trump; who insults people without feeling bad about it and often blurts out things he shouldn’t. Or your other choice, Hillary Clinton who has been nicknamed “crooked hillary” and is well known for being a liar. It really is a matter of picking the lesser of two evils. Donald Trump, in my opinion, is the lesser. Trump is hated by many on social media and there are even hate articles posted about him online, but I think there are a lot of unjustified accusations thrown at him. His many years of being an entrepreneur show that he is not racist or misogynistic, I think the media just over exaggerates some careless statements …show more content…
Not even the president of the United States. But if Hillary doesn’t go to jail for having classified emails sent to her private server, it will be strictly for political reason (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillary_Clinton_email_controversy). How is anyone okay with voting for someone to be President who would be in jail if they weren’t married to a former president and running for office themselves? Not to mention, she lies about the big things, the little things and everything inbetween. After Benghazi, she told the people that a video was responsible when she was privately telling people it was a terrorist attack. She said she applied for the Marines in 1975 and was turned down. She claimed she was named after the explorer Sir Edmund Hillary who became famous when she was six years old. I could state hundreds of lies she’s told that have been proven. Would you vote for someone who’s so …show more content…
He doesn't care what's politically correct and what's not. I think the fact he ran for president shows that he really just wants to help fix America after so many bad politicians messed it up. Yes some of the things he says are outrageous but you can't blame him. Look at his age, the way he grew up. The 60’s and 50’s were times when racism and sexism were problems. But back to the point... Trump wants to "make America great again". Although...If you’re still mad about his plan to build a wall.... Let me just says this. Look at your backyard. Many Americans have a fence in their backyard. Now let me ask you, what does that fence do? It keeps people out right? It keeps your yard YOUR YARD. You keep what you want in it. You put what you don't want out on the streets. Your backyard is where you feel safe because you know that this is yours. This is what trump wants to do. He wants to have America be something where we can all say it's like your
In America at this time of history, Racism is a very hurtful topic. People have a judgmental view on a race after one person out of millions, conduct a matter. Many actions are against one’s race when not all of them act as those that have acted negatively. Communities of cultures has made a stereotype of each race and it affects those that are innocent from those thoughts. Stereotypes are when a “feature” of a specific race is applied to the rest of the same race. Stereotypes nowadays are what helps a society opinionate a single race or culture. Some stereotypes that are common and is what thought by many are that “black men and women are very aggressive” and there are some people who live by those stereotype and try to avoid all blacks even though there are some that do not follow this stereotype. Race also has to do with the history of the country that makes a culture have different viewpoints. There are cultures that have slaves and they are of a different race. As time passes and they are no longer slaves, they are still considered as a minority by some, like how many Americans consider Africans are a minority just because they use to be slaves. Many cultures are not diverse and have only one race in that specific culture, but if there may be one person with a different race, people could either view that positively or negatively. For instance, in the story “Introducing my son: An Indian
Hillary’s credibility does not get call into question when she says she has been working in the case “Over the past 25 years, I have worked persistently on issues relating to women, children, and families” this is the way she knows a lot about women and their necessities “I/ve had the opportunity to learn more about the challenges facing women in my country and around the world”
Hillary Clinton is an important character in the impeachment process and the sex scandal in general. As Bill Clinton’s wife, she is the most personally involved with the President, as well as the most personally involved in the subject matter involved with the impeachment. Since Bill Clinton’s wrong-doings stem from sexual misconduct, as his wife, Hillary Clinton has an extremely great involvement. Due to her great involvement in this personal matter, the public audience seems to associate their thoughts with her own (34% of the public thought that the scandal was a personal matter as long as Hillary Clinton was fine with it [U.S. News]). Meaning, the public feels that if Bill Clinton’s sexual affairs are accepted by Hillary, then they should be accepted by the country as well. It is important to look at how Clinton gets her points, what her motives are in doing so, and where her motives stem from because she is so influential regarding the President’s image. It is also important to look at the sexual misconduct between the President and Ms Lewinsky, as well as Hillary’s decision to support her husband, from the First Lady’s situation since women and their concerns are often forgotten when analyzing political discourse.
face with conflict of another race, all of the media 's bias seems a great deal more compelling and
between the two candidates is obvious. People who want to succeed at the highest levels
“The beauty of me is that I am very rich” according to Donald Trump. His ignorance has lead him to do things that he shouldn’t being doing or has done. In the past few months he has been racist man that would insult people that are from a different race. When Trump started running for president he would insult and bully everybody in general not knowing the people’s stories. He made people seem like they are poor and have nothing to live for, Trump’s inability to see past his greed. He wants to separate the United States and wants people to think he is the best of the best; Trump should not be President.
It’s hard not be general when trying to explain which parts of his campaign are uncivil. It seems from start to finish the U.S. has been forced to hear his opinions on immigration, healthcare, war, and personal economics. He’s someone that says exact what he’s thinking and, even though the thoughts hold little educational value, there’re so many that it’s hard to pinpoint when one idea started and how much he’s raved and ranted to get it into the heads of the public. However, thanks to the many
In the midst of one of the most controversial presidential elections in history, both political parties are struggling to prove that their candidate is the best choice. Clinton and Trump’s disapproval ratings are very low, but one has to ask, is there really a lesser evil to choose from? While Clinton has had her own fair share of past discrepancies, Trump’s track record proves much more troublesome. Donald Trump has proven to be an untrustworthy presidential candidate because of his misogynistic actions, his racial bias, and his corrupt business history. During the Republican debate on August 6, 2016, Trump had a falling out with Fox correspondent Megyn Kelly after she questioned him about some of his comments on women, where he referred to them as “’fat pigs’, ‘dogs’, ’slobs’, and ‘disgusting animals’,” (Bahadur).
Some people believe her values are “a result of having lived through the depression” (Harris 673). She has seen the worst and hopes to make things better for her people. As a child, Clinton was “earning merit badges in girl scouts and starring in the girls softball league” (Harris 674). She has always believed women were smart and strong. Earning badges and playing sports might not seem like much, but it taught a young Clinton that women can do anything they set their mind to. Clinton went off to college and met her husband Bill Clinton there. As the couple got older, Bill decided he wanted to run for president. Hillary “went to Indiana to coordinate the campaign” (Harris 678) for Bill. From the start to the end of Bill’s presidency, Hillary was “extremely active in government affairs” (Hurley 204). She “[emphasized] the need for a global feminist agenda” (Hurley 204-205). Even though Bill was the president, Hillary applied herself as if she were the president. She encouraged equality for genders. Her speech “Women’s Rights Are Human Rights” was given right in the middle of Bill’s presidency. She used her economic power to create awareness of the gender inequality in the
Clinton as a teacher and most importantly as a role model. There is a story behind how Mr. Clinton earned my respect, which had nothing to do with his cute looks, but rather his character. From what I've seen, he is a hardworking, dedicated, and caring individual. Most of all, he maintains his personality as an ordinary person just like you and me. His work as a president for the past years speaks for it self. From what I've observed, Mr.
Many Americans are beginning to wonder who will run as the Democratic candidate for the next president of the United States. Since the 2008 election, one particular name has been the topic of conversation around most media outlets and households across the county. With over one million supporters who believe in her abilities to lead, Hillary Clinton possesses the qualities that meet the leadership criteria that would help her to become the leader of the free world. I choose to research Hillary Clinton because I admire the drive and passion she puts into her work. She is a unique global leader whose activism has promoted social change around the world.
He stands up for what he believes in, even if it causes controversy with other countries or leaders. There are many countries that have threatened to destroy Israel and the Jewish people. He continues to persevere, even when it seems the odds are not in his favor. “Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan, while speaking at a conference in Tehran, said that were President-Elect Trump to withdraw from the Iranian nuclear “deal” signed by the Obama administration, Iran would destroy the State of Israel.” (Wood. 2016).
Trump states "There are territories and terror states and terror nations that we 're not going to allow the people to come into our country,” which proves his hatred towards Muslims. Trump also plans to build a wall on the southern border, which would separate America and Mexico and have the Mexicans pay for it. This is Trump’s way of saying that Mexicans are also banned from America. In an interview, Trump says “I don 't want people coming in from certain countries. I don 't want people coming in from the terror countries. You have terror countries! I don 't want them, unless they 're very, very strongly vetted." This shows his strong detest for people from terror countries. Trump has his own beliefs, but I personally think his demands and promises are foolish, and in the twenty first century, we should already be at the stage of equality where we allow everyone the right to immigrate.
The nation is split between these two and many people are describing it as a ‘pick your poison’ which is not a very comforting phrase while choosing the next leader of the nation. Looking at different polls and trends, I had a very difficult time predicting the outcome. In the end, I predict and hope that the next president of our nation to be Hillary. With her background involved in politics and government she would not need such a long period to adjust into a power holding position. Her values and her positions on foreign affairs would also benefit America more than the values carried by
Even though this year’s candidates are not the best, they are still well educated people who are able to run our country. For example, Trump is a major business major who knows exactly how to deal with money. The United States alone is drowning right now in million dollars of debt. Some people believe he would help America become great again and help reduce poverty. Hillary has also been around politics nearly her whole life, especially since her husband was former President in 1993 to 2001. Both candidates are either really knowledgeable in politics or with
