Recommended: Note on school safety

Another public school has turned into an area of a disaster. On Tuesday morning, sixteen people were wounded and another two died after an open fire shooting took place in western Kentucky. A 15 year old student was arrested with charges or murder. According to a student at the high school the suspect came armed with a handgun at 8:57 a.m, 911 was called two minutes later. The victims of this unfaithful occurrence were aged around fourteen to eighteen, fourteen were male the other six females.

This school shooting was a social injustice, because the student who has been arrested for this vicious act of violence committed a serious crime of murder. This student greatly affected his school and town, he brought true fear into the parents and

And although many shootings have occurred at High Schools or Middle Schools, having more guns on those campuses would not be a good environment for children to grow up in. However, on a college campus, the pupils attending are not children anymore; the age range is from 17 to mid 20’s. Therefore they understand the consequences associated to the use of weapons and have gained more maturity. In April 16th, 2007, at Blacksburg, Virginia, there was a shooting rampage enacted by Sung-Hui Cho (23 years, from Centreville, VA) who fired over 170 rounds, killing 32 victims, before taking his own life at the Virginia Tech campus. Colleges and Universities would be a much safer place, for student and teacher, if guns were permitted on campus for self-defense purposes.

When police started to arrive he shot himself in the head, taking his own life. This incident was the deadliest mass shooting at a grade school in the US; in total 26 lives were lost.
