In my lifetime many memories are contiuing to be made with family, friends, and teammates. Memories that are going to stay with me for a life time. When looking back to my memories there are many memories that I wish that I don’t remember. Also their are many that I wish that I can go back in time and relive the moment. Form the handful of memories that I have made in high school so far there is one that I can’t get out of my head. All from taking a PE game too seriously.
To start off let me give you a idea on how I let it go out of hand in the first place. From a young age I did not like the idea of losing. For example when I was in kindergarten we had a jog-a-thon and I self competed with myself on how many laps I could run. When Entering Jr. high I could see that there's two types of kids in PE class. The kids who are competitive and the kids who decide who won’t take part in class. And I knew I was a kid who is competitive and always wanted to be on the winning team.
From going to Jr. High to High school I could see a change on people changed in a

How the kids who were competitive are would like to argue with each other when it came to playing. After that first time playing with advance PE class everyone had a fire in them to win. There is only one game in me that is arguable the class favorite game is super kick ball. When it comes to this game everyone get excited to play. From recitney playing with the advance PE class everyone was in the competitive state to play. Mr. Tripp likes to even out the teams because we have a handful of kids who are in volved with sports in our class. When he split up the team we each had someone that we always play against each other when it comes to other PE games. For example Nick and Tristan have a friendly competitions with each other and so do I with Kayla. I knew it was going to be a good game because Tristan and Kayla were one team and on the Nick and I we on the
Kids just want to have fun. In a bygone era, parents wanted kids to play sports for fun and camaraderie. However, a new attitude is developing among coaches and parents, which is mopping-up fun from youth sports. Now it's all about the team and the game. The team must win the game at any cost.
For instance, I am a competition dancer. Going to different competitions you can see the differences in the way the dancers, teachers, judges, and moms view outcomes. The teachers just want you to do your best because no matter the placement received you had fun. When you are on a team, you want your team as a whole group to compete with other teams not each other. You see this with other sports too, such as baseball, basketball, soccer, etc. where kids try to outperform their teammates. This poses risks such as “loss of self-esteem, injuries… increased stress.” (Berger, pg. 245, 2014) However Active play and competition do not only pose risks they contribute to the following as well “Better overall health, less obesity… respect for teammates and opponents.” (Berger, pg. 245, 2014)

Each game, my passion grew. Each team, new memories and lifelong friends were made. Sports sometimes make me feel disappointment and at loss; but it taught me to be resilient to a lot of things, like how to thrive under pressure and come out on top. Being the team captain of my high school’s football and lacrosse team showed me how having a big responsibility to bring a group together to work as one is compared to many situations in life. Currently playing varsity football, varsity lacrosse, and track I take great pride in the activities I do. Staying on top of my academics, being duel enrolled at Indian River State College, working three nights a week, and two different sport practices after school each day shaped my character to having a hard work
My senior year of football was one to forget. High school sports are supposed to be the best time of our lives. It is a time where you make friends and create a brotherhood with your teammates. Football in particular, the sport that supposedly builds character and family. Of course everyone goes through hardships and has struggles; but overall, it is about building you up and not tearing you down. It seems that my whole football career was full of upsets and hardships. I can barely count on two hands the good times I shared with my teammates. From arguing all the time, to losing every game, to being dismissed from the team and having a young coach who has never played football; my football career was something I would never want to relive.
Growing is always hard. Things become more challenging and you are left with a bundle of responsibilities. High school made me change to be ready for encounters with other people and for when I go to college in the future.

As my senior year came to pass, I had many regrets but one that still haunts me the most was allowing fear to hold me back from the sport that I love the most. I try not to dwell on the past because I know better is to come. High school taught me to not let fear hold me back from success and greatness. I know that because I eventually had been awarded a starting position for my effort and great improvement in my
When I look back I remember that ninety percent of my life in high school was dedicated to football. All I thought about as a freshman was working hard and doing my best so that I could be moved up to varsity. Now that time is here and I can’t believe how fast the time went. There are only ten games left and then my high school football career is over. After the season is over the rest of the year is dedicated to homework and senior project.
Finally, my baseball season was over as we lost to a better team in the playoffs. Never in my life was I excited to lose. Since I was one of the worst players, in which I sat on the bench in almost every game, I didn’t want to waste my time in the sport. Eventually, I sat out a year of playing the sport to run track instead. Even though the track was good for me, I never really enjoyed it that much. I was still determined
It was November 1st and it was the day of my last volleyball game. I ran into my friend Eri and we started talking about the game later that day. It was against Tunkhannock. They were the best volleyball team from our area, and wouldn’t you know it on our senior night we had to play against them. Senior night was the one night where the seniors were recognized, whether they were good or not. The whole day the team was joking about how much we would lose by against our rival team. In a game to fifteen we thought we would end up owing them points.
The main goals behind Sport Education are to help students become knowledgeable about different sports and activities to the point where they can participate in these outside of the classroom to stay active. Also it teaches execution and strategies and encourages competitiveness. It is important for kids to be competitive because they will have to be in life and it will teach the importance of winning and losing the right way. “Sports offer kids a great chance to work cooperatively toward a common goal. And working coope...
The greatest achievement in my life would have to be my success in the sport of football. I started playing the game at the age of eight. It stuck with me throughout my life until now. During a football game there are numerous amounts of dynamic situations to be involved with. There are so many crucial actions that take place in the matter of seconds. In a certain instance in my life , the game had a strong impact on my life. It took place my senior year against our rivals, the best team in the district. That Monday we began preparing for the coming Friday. It was a typical week until I woke up Wednesday morning. I was routinely late for school running around the house. On my way out the door the phone brought me to an abrupt stop. Turning around, I started to sprint to the phone. A few steps into it, I crushed my little toe on the leg of my couch. Face down on the carpet, I proceeded to scream in pain. Answering the phone quickly got check off my things to do list. As soon as I could regain my sanity I hopped over to the couch and forgot about school. My toe suddenly turned black and swollen. It was the worst coincidence that could’ve happened to me. I went to the hospital later that day, where I heard that my foot was broken and I couldn’t play.
