Hey Kobby,
School has been hectic in a good way. Its senior year, where there is a lot of pressure on what is my next step. I know for a fact that I want to go to college. I have my list of where I want to go, some of the colleges are University of Connecticut, Vanderbilt University, Quinnipiac University, Mount St. Mary College, University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Baruch College, SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Brockport, SUNY Cortland, High Point University. I am thinking of majoring in International Business and minoring in linguistics, or double majoring in International Business and International relations and minoring in linguistics. Let me know your opinion on what you think of my majors and schools and let me know if you have any suggestions.
Susan Brady Konig wrote "They've Got to Be Carefully Taught", because she wanted to inform us about how to properly educate young kids, as young as preschoolers about where they originated from. She taught them about their cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Teachers are educating their children on what country their ancestors came from and how that makes them all different, but yet somewhat the same by, their skin color, their hair color, the different foods they may eat, and how they celebrate special occasions.
I was recently accepted into the Exploratory Studies college at NC State, and am beyond excited to hopefully continue my academic career at NC State University. Although I am currently undecided on my major, I've shown the most interest in math and science related subjects, and hope to pursue similar avenues of study at State through the Exploratory Studies program. I am interested in exploring different career paths that I may have not yet considered, and believe that this program will provide me with the resources necessary to truly discover what I want to do for the rest of my life. Although I currently do not have any specific career objectives, I am confident that I will leave NC State prepared to build a successful career, regardless of my eventual major. I am excited at how much NC State and the Exploratory Studies college has to offer, and hope to eventually graduate with the experience and knowledge to begin a professional career.

The path I have taken toward obtaining my Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Management, and Economics, with a concentration in Marketing, has been different than I expected when I first started college. I started at Brooklyn College at 17-years-old and frankly, I wasn’t ready for it. I struggled to balance an awkward schedule of classes and inconsistent study habits. I never felt completely comfortable there and after two years of performing poorly, I enrolled at Kingsborough Community College. I viewed it as a new start and seized the opportunity. I decided to major in Business Administration; I made the Dean’s List, and saw my grades improve dramatically. After completing 74 total credits, I decided I was ready to return to a four-year-college. I initially considered returning to Brooklyn College but at this time my grandmother had become ill. I applied to the College of Staten Island which was near her home and would make it possible for me to help her out with whatever she needed and attend school locally. This worked out great for my first semester. I carried a 3.47 GPA and decided to major in Business, with a concentration in Marketing. At this time, I was working part-time while in school. But due to certain circumstances, I was forced to obtain a full-time job in addition to other part-time commitment. This made it very difficult for me to enroll in classes as most of the upper-level marketing classes that I needed for graduation were only offered during the day when I would now be working. I enrolled in night and weekend classes for the next two semesters but my grades began to suffer. In the last semester I tried to register at the College of Staten Island, I couldn’t fit the courses I needed into my ever-growing w...
Communication studies was a good pick for me because, although there is always room for improvement, I can still garnish some more knowledge and information to better improve my oral skills. My personality will really fit into the communication department. I have been told about how fun the communication department can be, and how outgoing people are in the department. I initially liked this a lot because I am very outgoing myself and love to talk to people. I feel that I can be able to exhibit concise messages to people, clearly and efficiently.
In the Rise of the Creative Class, Richard Florida claims that the society is shifting from social to creative capital and the creative class is flourishing. By creative class, Florida (2002) means groups which include professionals such as writers, innovators, scientists, engineers, consultants, media people, authors, architects, designers, musicians and artists. Those are persons who use their creative mind and skills to attract money. They are people who find challenging and flexible jobs attractive to them. When they work, they look for chances of personal development. In the United State of America, according to Florida, the creative class composites more than 30 per cent of the workforce.
Freshmen year of college had finally arrived, and I was ready to experience life through the lens of an adult. Just turning eighteen, I had it all figured out, my school of choice, my major, and my career. My plan was to graduate with a major in business administration and a double minor in psychology and political science, with hopes of becoming an attorney. It never ceases to amaze me how each semester of college has taught me to expand my realm of knowledge and to become more open to new experiences. After my very first semester, I decided to double major in business administration and psychology. As time went on, my sophomore year allowed me to delve into many major courses, which probed a thirst for knowledge that needed to be quenched. At this point, I wanted to receive a more thorough understanding of both academic disciplines, but it was not until my junior year that I realized my true purpose.
As the end of my senior year in high school approached, I had to make an important decision. What school was I going to spend the next few years of my life at? When the financial aid packages arrived, I was torn between two colleges. After sitting down with my mother and discussing the advantages and disadvantages of both schools, I came to my final decision. It seemed like a year ago I was imagining what college life would be like and suddenly before my eyes, I would be a college student in a matter of four months.
Choosing a major is the hardest thing to do its very rare that you think about a certain career and you stick to it till the end. However a lot of people change majors like if they were changing the trains or the buses because they are uncertain about what they want do and achieve in life, but not for me i knew exactly what i wanted to do since the day i realized my passion for computers. I am a student at Laguardia Community College currently majoring in Computer operations more specifically Networking and security. after recieving a degree in computer operations i want to transfer to SNHU which stands for Southern New Hampsphire University. i want go here upon graduating from Laguardia community college and pursue a masters degree in Information Technology more specifically in Internet security.
I’m a student at Tompkins Cortland Community College this is my first semester as a college student. I plan to go to college for four years and only be at TC3 for this one semester, then transfer to a four year school. College has grown around the world more than ever and more people are attending college more than ever. I have chosen to go to college because of the rewards after graduation. Yes it is another four years of school but by getting more education and an extended degree gives me more opportunities for better jobs and more money. The career I have chosen to study is business administration. I am hoping that it takes me to a great job managing a company or possibly being an accountant.

Educational Goals: Education is extremely important part of my past, present, and future goals. I currently hold an Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design Media. I have found that an A.A.S Degree does not go as far al I originally intended in the Rochester, MN area and furthering my education will be a necessity for my future career goals. Over the past 2 years I have been working on my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the Minnesota School of Business Rochester campus. I am currently a senior with 3 quarters left before a spring graduation. After a June graduation, I plan on taking a summer quarter break. After summer break I will either continue on at MSB for my Masters in Business Administration with a Minor in Marketing or transferring the University of Minnesota for my Masters in Adult Education. After my Masters Degree is complete I will decide at that time if I wish to continue on and achieve my Ph.D.
I’ve just entered my senior year of high school. I know that this is a very important year. I have a lot of decisions to make and not much time to make them. These decisions will either make or break my life, and I want to make sure that I make them to the best of my ability because there is no turning back. I need to make sure I definitely want to attend college. The decision is totally up to me. There are many positives and negatives of attending college. Go over them, and then decide. I know myself better then anyone else, and I won’t let anyone else tell me what to do. I will make sure if I am going to attend college that I have something in mind that I will want to do, to succeed in. Choosing a major can be a very stressful situation so why not sit down and take some time to do it? Be creative, don’t rush, give yourself plenty of time and really think about what interests you in life. My major is something that I will want to enjoy, something that I will be doing for the rest of my life. Why would I want to be miserable at something I do in life? In two short essays: “College? What’s in It for me?” by Steven M. Richardson, and “What It Means to Be Creative”, by S.I. Hayakawa, I can relate to my major very well. Athletic Training is something that takes skill, as well as being creative in your own way. No two Athletic Trainers are the same. The more creative I am at whatever I do, the better off I will be. I hold the keys to all the doors that can ...
What will I do for the rest of my life? Every person asks this question at some stage of their life, usually during their later teenage years. As a high school junior, I am now asking myself this question. After considerable thought, I have devised a tentative plan for my future. I realize that some of these plans and goals may change over time, but with a plan, the first steps of the journey can begin. To prepare me for the journey, I have taken very challenging high school curriculum, such as Honors and Advanced Placement courses. These classes will not only assist in my admission to college, but have also helped me to develop strong study skills and time management.
