To sustain the objectives of the Arroyo Administration, he has joined the ranks of the administration party, LAKAS-NUCD, Quezon City Chapter.

Vice Mayor Bistek, as we fondly call him, was recently elected as the National President of the National Movement of Young Legislators (NMYL), a 6,000-member organization composed of vice governors, board members, vice mayors and councilors including Sangguniang Kabataan federation presidents. This is a testament to his well-spring of experience in the field of politics and local government affairs, as well as his stand on issues and concerns of the Filipino youth of the new millennium.
