Recommended: Henry Ford

Do you drive a car or some form of motorized vehicle? If so, then it has been related to Henry Ford. Henry Ford fought for the copyrights of his creations. He fought the government to earn his right to own what he put his money, time and energy into making. Henry also created the assembly line hence making it easier, faster and cheaper to make a quality car that almost anybody could afford and that would last. Some of the cars he built are still around today! He changed the Automotive history for ever. In 1895, businessmen bought the Seldon patent for all gas powered vehicles and all internal combustion engines that were built were owned by the owner of the patent. So this meant that Henry would not own what he built. The men who owned this patent did. Ford did not like this at all so he fought against this so he could own his idea and in turn sell it to the public. Ford later turned and took ALAM to court and it was a long and grueling process but in the end he came out on top.His idea was a afordable, strong, car that your normal working family could afford and not break the bank. When Henry turned 40 he was broke and washed up. Even after this he went in to the ALAM to get a licence to build his cars, he was shot down. He went on to try for more investors, he again was shot down. Now without investment and no licence he still went on to try and build his cars. This time he just did the necessity not the lucry. This worked! In the first month of his work he built and sold 1700 cars. This was a big thing back then! But he doesn't stop there he goes on to sell 300,000 cars yearly!! Thats half of today's sales!! Ford became one of the highest selling cars available. He came from the bottom to the top l... ... middle of paper ... ...ferent jobs and different options like horsepower and inside. If you're a retailer and you are taking you buyers to look at a house you want a nice car to take them in. Not a van or a truck. If you're a construction worker you want a truck that works as hard as you do and not a van or a small truck. In the end it's clear that Henry Ford did our country a very big survase and he did the right thing. Sticking with his ideas and standing by them the whole time and fighting for them. This apprenticeship allowed him to work in the factories of Detroit and learn what a hard working blue-collar job was like. When he did return to Dearborn he was always tearing apart and rebuilding his fathers machines, along with the dreaded farm chores. Henry Ford was a hard worker and that was proven by him getting fired from one of his jobs in Detroit because the older employees we’re mad at him because he was finishing his repairs in a half hour rather than the usual five hours. Clara Bryant would represent the next step in now twenty-five year old Henry Ford’s life. The two lovers we’re married in 1888 and would endure good times as well as bad. In order to support his new wife Henry was forced to work the land as he ran a sawmill that was given to him by his father. His father actually attempted to bribe Henry to stay in the farming business as he gave him the land only under the condition that he would continue on as a farmer.
